Impact Wrestling - Exacting Revenge
Impact was live again for another week and after what happened previously, it was no surprise that Y/N wanted revenge. He knew he was outnumbered, but picking Honor No More apart piece by piece would work the best. The young man was focussed, thinking about how he could send a message to everyone while Honor No More made their entrance. Mike Bennett was his opponent for the night, so there was still a lot to look out for.
Boos echoed throughout the arena, but the entire group didn't really give a damn about it. They just marched to the ring where Mike bumped fists with everyone before he entered the squared circle. Maria smirked to herself and took a stand in his corner while the rest walked to the back again. Then it was Y/N's time to walk out and he didn't waste any time.
Instead of taking off his jacket and waiting for the bell, Y/N immediatly dragged Mike into a corner and started chopping the everliving crap out of him. Mercy was thrown out of the window as the chops connected with insane force, turning Mike's chest red in a matter of seconds. Only when the ref stepped in and separated the two did Mike gave a chance to save himself while Y/N finally discarded his jacket. After the Low Blow and the beatdown the week before, he was ticked off more often than not and needed an opportunity to let off some steam. With both men now back on their feet again, things started getting intense quite quickly. Mike attempted a Clothesline to catch Y/N off guard, but the younger man ducked out of the way and turned the whole thing into a Release German Suplex.
Everyone who knew Y/N and watched his matches so far had a good feeling for the impact (no pun intended) he would deliver and Mike was the unfortunate victim to experience it right now. Y/N had a lot of pent up aggression in general, so wrestling was one of the best outlets for it. Maria was worried already that this match probably would go south sooner rather than later and it was confirmed when Y/N continued with a Superkick to a kneeling Mike.
Some fans winced while others cheered immediatly and hoped that Y/N would put this match to rest relatively soon. However, he had a lot more to unpack to make a statement and get back at Matt for the unfinished business of their ROH days. Since there was no clear ending to it, they needed to find a way to put the final nail in the coffin this time, no matter what match type they would face each other in. But that was a few more weeks in the future, for now Mike had to endure the punishment for his actions as Y/N pulled him up for a Suplex, only to throw him halfway across the ring.
The comnentators didn't really know what to say about this as Y/N ran a hand through his hair. Although they've seen feets of strength like that several times, it was still surprising to see the new talent just throw his opponent around like this. Even the ref was unsure how this might end as he checked up on Mike who still wanted to fight. Y/N also ignored the distractions from Maria as best as he could, not falling for the siren's call. He knew her a little from a short chat a few weeks ago before joining Impact, but nothing else. They definitly weren't close in any way, but who knew what the future would hold? Well...for Mike, it was the chance to get some traction as he slapped Y/N and hit a quick DDT.
Maybe there was a spark of hope for him right now as long as he kept up the aggression. He understood what Y/N was like in normal matches, so without much delay, Mike induced some heavy ground and pound. Heavy shots rained down on Y/N over and over again as Mike was gritting his teeth. Both of them were giving it their all with every move and took every hit like warriors. After a few more hits, Mike got off of Y/N and yelled at the crowd about how much better he was and how Honor No More would take over Impact. Obviously this didn't sit well with the dedicated fans, but Mike just flipped them off before he and Maria shared a kiss on the apron. They really carried the heel part perfectly by now and received the exact negative reaction they expected, but once Maria hopped down again and Mike turned around, the momentum shifted thanks to a sudden Big Boot.
Y/N was back in the game after he took out Mike. He now was just pissed off and wanted to inflict as much damage as he could, so right after taking a deep breath, he picked his opponent back up, hit him with a Forearm Strike and then hooked him in the ropes to hit more chops.
There was just about nothing left to say about this match and the hatred Y/N displayed towards Mike. He wanted to end him for good and put him on the shelf for a long while, but unfortunately the ref stepped in again. Y/N walked back a few feet while Mike hunched over and fell to the canvas. Apparently he had enough after such a fight, but Y/N had one last bullet in the chamber so to speak. He gave the bald man a chance to at least get on his knees, but it looked a lot like even that wasn't possible. Sighing to himself, Y/N took the chance to end this and hit a Pedigree on Mike.
The pinfall itself was just a matter of seconds and soon Y/N was declared the winner while Mike rolled out of the ring, getting helped by Maria. The first member of Honor No More was down and out, but there was a lot more to do. But as Y/N turned around, he was hit in the head with an acoustic guitar.
It was a knockout right on the money and as the camera panned back up, the viewers also got to see none other than Matt Taven.
