-(Y/N)'s P.O.V-

(Y/N): Come on, you stupid Raiden Shogun boss, die already!!

I was playing Genshin Impact on my laptop and I was fighting the new Raiden Shogun boss in Inazuma. My team was (Team 1, Team 2, Team 3, and Team 4) while I was using food buffs to keep my characters alive.

The Raiden Shogun boss was now extremely low in health as I finished her off using (Genshin Character's Name in your team) Elemental Burst, destroying her immediately.

I leaned my body back down as I let out a sigh of relief.

(Y/N): Man, took me long enough to finish her off.

I rubbed my face as I eventually went back to my laptop and collected the artifacts before exiting the area.

I'm a free-to-play player and I don't buy stuff in-game using real money. My artifacts are a little good because I followed the f2p guide on Google. I know some Genshin content creators saying that your character is trash if you don't build them right using the right artifacts, but there are some who don't care to follow the artifacts substats and just put the recommended artifacts to the characters that they are playing in their teams. 

Anyway, I looked at the time and it was now 10:35 PM in the evening.

(Y/N): I've already done my homework. I guess I'll sleep early tonight.

I then turned off the lamp next to me and went back to sleep on my bed.

-Tomorrow-

The next morning came until I hear the sound of my alarm clock's music that I set up on my phone.

I reached out for my phone and put dismissed the alarm.

(Y/N): Morning's rising...

Suddenly, I hear the sounds of light snores as I turned to my right and see a small bulge under my blanket on my right that wasn't there during my sleep.

(Y/N): That's odd...

I immediately removed the blanket next to me and to my shock...

My eyes couldn't believe what I was seeing!

(Y/N): What the hell?

I questioned as I start to pinch my cheek to check if I was dreaming, but it wasn't because I felt the pain.

(Y/N): Ow! Okay, it's not a dream.

I said quietly as I looked at the creature that I'm familiar with.

(Y/N): Is this...Paimon?

I said as I can hear Paimon's light snores in her sleep.

(Y/N): (This can't be...!)

I then slowly poked the fairy using my right index finger, and to my surprise, it definitely felt...real.

I poked her a few times on the cheek until she groaned in her sleep and eventually woke up with a yawn.

I pulled myself away as Paimon begins to rub her sleepy eyes before turning to me.

Paimon: Good Morning, Ae...ther?

Paimon greeted, but in confusion upon seeing me. She rubbed her eyes for a moment before blinking a few times and started to realize the situation between us.

Paimon: Wh-Wha...Who are you?!

Paimon exclaims with a shocked look on her face.

(Y/N): W-Wait, calm down!

I said with my hands in front of me in defense.

Paimon: Explain yourself! Did you kidnapped Paimon in here?!

Paimon asks with her arms folded.

(Y/N): No! I didn't kidnap you! I swear!

Paimon: Oh really?

(Y/N): Look around you, are you not familiar with this room?

I questioned as Paimon looks around in my room until she spoke up.

Paimon: Paimon has been into a similar room like yours because Paimon went into the adept teapot with Aether that we call home.

(Y/N): Is that so?

Paimon: Yup. Now then, where's Aether?

(Y/N): Aether? No, didn't see him.

Paimon: Okay, but why Paimon is here?!

Paimon asks until I start to think for an answer.

(Y/N): Are you...not from here?

I asked, stating the obvious.

Paimon: Yeah, where is Paimon exactly?

(Y/N): Well...look outside.

I said as I opened the curtain and my window. Paimon then floats outside before floating up high in the air and looks around until a shocked look on her face to see the environment around her.

Paimon: What the?! What is this?! This isn't the last time Paimon remembers when Paimon was sleeping with Aether!

Paimon yells in the air until she descends back down to my window and spoke up to me.

Paimon: What the heck is going on?!

That's when I decided to speak the truth.

(Y/N): You're from Teyvat, aren't you?

Paimon turns to me with a surprised look on her face.

Paimon: Yeah, but how do you know that?

(Y/N): You want to know? You're Paimon from Genshin Impact and you're Aether's traveling companion.

Paimon: And how do you know that too?! Are you psychic or something?!

(Y/N): Well...

I then began to explain everything to Paimon about who she is.

-Mini Time Skip-

It took me like a couple of minutes of explaining as Paimon didn't believe what I was saying until I pulled out the proof which is by using Google articles and Paimon was now baffled at what she was seeing until she eventually processed everything.

Paimon: So you're telling Paimon that Paimon is from Genshin Impact and Paimon is a mascot of the game?

(Y/N): That's right. People really love you due to your cute small nature.

Paimon: Ehehe, Paimon's flattered~

(Y/N): Now then, what are you gonna do now?

Paimon this for a moment before speaking up.

Paimon: Paimon doesn't know and Paimon doesn't know how your world works after Paimon was teleported here.

Paimon says with a troubled expression.

(Y/N): Well, you can stay with me if that's okay with you.

Paimon: Wait, really?

(Y/N): Yeah, I mean, you've got nowhere else to go because you got teleported in the 21st century.

Paimon: Maybe you're right.

Paimon lets out a sigh before speaking up in a sad tone.

Paimon: Paimon hopes that Aether is okay on his own. Without his traveling companion with him, he feels a little lonely.

(Y/N): I know that feeling.

Paimon: Anyway, what are you going to do next, (Y/N)? You look a little young, does this mean that you have school?

Paimon asks until I realized what she was saying as I looked at the time and it was 6:30 AM in the morning.

(Y/N): Oh yeah, I do have school.

Paimon: Then, what are you waiting for?

(Y/N): My school starts at 8:00 AM so I pretty much woke up early than I thought.

Paimon: Alright, if you say so. Anyway, since you know Paimon, what's your name?

(Y/N): I'm (Y/N) (L/N).

Paimon: (Y/N), huh. That's a pretty nice name.

(Y/N): Why thank you.

I said with an amusing smile on my face until I hear the sound of someone's stomach grumbling and it came from Paimon's stomach.

Paimon: Ehehe, looks like Paimon's hungry.

(Y/N): Oh well, I can cook good food for breakfast. Come.

I  gestured as Paimon and I went downstairs to cook breakfast.

-Mini Time Skip and No One's P.O.V-

A couple of minutes passed as Paimon was quite amazed at the furniture and even the technology of the 21st century (because you used your phone to make Paimon watch YouTube) while you were busy cooking breakfast for the two of you.)

(Y/N): Alright, breakfast is here!

You called out as Paimon looks up while holding your phone and sees that you were carrying two plates in your hands.

You then placed both of the plates down and Paimon was drooling at the sight of the food you made.

(A/N: Paimon's food is below ↓)

(A/N: Your food ↑)

Paimon: Ooh, they look pretty classy!

(Y/N): Hahaha, but that's not all...

Paimon: Hm?

(Y/N): I actually made a bit of dessert for you.

Paimon: What kind?!

(Y/N): Close your eyes and you'll be amazed.

Paimon: Ooh, Paimon wonders what it is~!

Paimon closes her eyes as you grabbed a small plate and put it in front of her.

(Y/N): You can now open your eyes.

Paimon opens her eyes and to her shock...

Paimon: Whaaaat?! What is this?!

Paimon asks in shock as you let out a chuckle before speaking up.

(Y/N): This thing is a mini chocolate pancake, it's really delicious and sweet.

Paimon: Ooh! This is the best breakfast I've ever had! Thank you for the food!

Paimon prays as she started munching down the breakfast in a gleeful way while you watched her eating with a smile on your face as you began eating your breakfast.

Paimon: By the way...

(Y/N): Hm?

Paimon: Where are your parents?

You swallowed the food that you were eating before you spoke up.

(Y/N): They went off on a business trip and they won't come back for a while, so I have to keep an eye on this house while they are gone.

Paimon: Ohh, okay. How are old are you?

(Y/N): I'm sixteen and I've got a part-time job as an employee at a supermarket.

Paimon: That's pretty nice. You gotta live a life now, rather than later.

(Y/N): That's what people would say, even if they tried.

Paimon: That sounds harsh. Do you feel alone in this house?

(Y/N): Yeah, but I get used to it.

Paimon: That's pretty bad, you need to socialize with other people sometimes.

(Y/N): Thanks, but I'm not much of a socialized person myself.

Paimon: Well, Paimon can be your best friend~♥

You looked at Paimon with a surprised look on your face before smirking.

(Y/N): Heh, I mean, everyone would love to have you due to your bubbly personality.

Paimon: Ehehe~

A few minutes passed as the plates were now empty until Paimon lets out a sigh of relief.

Paimon: Wow...Paimon's all full now~!

Paimon says with a delightful expression on her face while rubbing her stomach. You then looked at the time and it was now

(Y/N): Alright, I'm gonna start taking a shower after I'm done washing the dishes. Feel free to do what you want, but don't eat the food around in the kitchen, okay?

Paimon: Okay!

Paimon gives you a thumb up as you smiled before heading to the kitchen and washing the dishes for a short amount of time until you made your way to the bathroom and took a shower.

-Mini Time Skip-

5 minutes later, you finished taking a shower and eventually wore your school uniform as you looked at the time and it was now 7:20 AM.

(Y/N): I gotta leave early.

You said as you went to the front door and wear your shoes.

(Y/N): Hey Paimon, I'm gonna head off to school!

You yelled until Paimon starts flying towards you out of the living room.

Paimon: Wait, can't Paimon come with you?

(Y/N): I could honestly bring you with me, but people would be freaking out if they see you, or more likely, seeing the REAL Paimon in front of their eyes.

Paimon: That won't be an issue because Paimon can appear and disappear, like this...!

Paimon then disappears into thin air before appearing back in thin air.

(Y/N): Oh yeah, I almost forgot that you can appear and disappear when I open and close the menu button.

Paimon: Ehehe~ Let's go, partner! Off to school!

Paimon says with her finger pointed at the door until you let out a chuckle before you exit out of your house as Paimon disappears in thin air.

-MIni Time Skip and (Y/N)'s P.O.V-

I was riding on my bike and it took me a few minutes to arrive to school.

I then parked my bike near the front entrance to where the vehicles and bikes would be parked. After that, I quickly speed-walk my way to school,  I then looked at my watch and see it was now 7:54 AM, which means that  I only have six minutes before the classes start.

I then entered the school's front entrance, grabbed my school shoes on my shoe locker, and continued walking down the hallway as I walked past a certain long purple-haired woman on the way. That's when I felt a went brushed behind me and I can feel something that was pressing down on my neck as I looked down to see someone's folding fan in their hands.

???: Hey, don't you think it's a little rude to walk past without saying "Good morning" to your good friend~?

They said in a relaxed tone in their voice as I let out a sigh before slowly turning around and said...

(Y/N): Good morning...Medaka Kurokami...

The woman who I walked past was none other than my good friend, Medaka Kurokami, and she's the same age as I do, we sit in the same class together, plus she's a Student Council of this school due to her excellent achievements and perfection.

Medaka: What's up with the tired greeting? Be more energetic~!

(Y/N): Funny. Shouldn't you be in our class by now? We only have like 3 minutes before our class starts.

Medaka: You know me, (Y/N). I would wait for you because I cannot be happier when I'm around with you, you know?

...and yeah, but she can be a little overbearing when I'm around with her and she's been doing this to me for a couple of months ago.

(Y/N): Saying like that is kinda creepy, don't you think?

I said with a sweatdrop.

Medaka: Maybe. Come now, let's head to our classses~!

Medaka says as she turns me around and starts gently pushing me, indicating that I should start walking with her.

We kept walking for a bit until we eventually reached our classroom. Upon opening the door, we can see the students all sitting down and we also see our teacher, John Komski, who was looking at us.

John: Ah Mr. (L/N) and Mrs. Medaka, you two are only one minute early before being late.

Medaka: Ahaha, my apologies, Mister Komski, my friend and I were just chatting a little in the hallways.

John: Is that so?

(Y/N): Yup.

Suddenly, we hear the sound of the school bell ringing.

Eventually, Medaka and I went to our seats and sat down as Mister Komski started continuing our yesterday's discussion about technology and science.

-Time Skip-

Hours later as lunchtime came and Medaka went to her class president business while I went up to the school rooftop to eat lunch until Paimon appeared in thin air.

Paimon: Whew, thank goodness class is over!

(Y/N): Wait, were you listening?

Paimon: Yeah, Paimon was bored throughout your whole class. But anyway, since it's lunchtime, let's eat~!

(Y/N): Hehe, if you say so.

I then opened up the lid of my (Favorite/Color) bento and looked at the food that I put inside.

Paimon: Ooh, they taste delicious~!

(Y/N): Alright, let's-

???: Eating lunch without me?

I felt my heart jump as I sent my bento into the air due that I was startled by that familiar voice.

-No One's P.O.V-

After you were startled by a familiar voice as the person from behind was none other than Medaka Kurokami as she sees your bento flew up into the air and was about to drop into her head like any cliche cartoon would do.

However, out of instinct, Medaka quickly grabbed your (Favorite/Color) bento in the air at such speed until Medaka starts moving her left hand while carrying your bento as Medaka catches your food at great precision as it lands perfectly onto your bento.

Medaka: Whew, that was close.

Medaka says with relief before she turns to you with a smile as you give her a look that tells "You piece of ass..."

Medaka: Hey come on, at least I saved your food.

(Y/N): Jesus, you don't have to scare me like that!

Medaka: Ahaha, sorry, sorry.

That's when Medaka notices Paimon peeking over your shoulder from behind until Paimon quickly disappears behind you after being spotted.

Medaka: (Y/N), who's that on your back?

(Y/N): Huh?

You turn around to see nothing until you felt Medaka pushing up your shirt from behind which caught you off guard.

(Y/N): Whoa, hey! What are you doing?!

Medaka: I thought I saw something.

(Y/N): Saw what?

You said with sweat dripping down on your face.

Medaka: I just saw a small white-haired creature behind your shoulder.

(Y/N): You're just imagining things.

Medaka: No, I could've sworn I saw it before it magically disappeared behind you. Are you hiding something, (Y/N)? If you are lying to me, then

Medaka says with sharp eyes as you think for an answer until letting out a sigh of defeat.

(Y/N): Fine, if only you don't freak out, okay?

Medaka: Very well then.

(Y/N): Okay then. Paimon, you can come out now.

Medaka tilts her head in confusion until Paimon came out in thin air.

Medaka: Whoa, who is this? I'm sure I've seen this familiar thing before.

Paimon: Hey, Paimon's not a "thing"!

Paimon says as she stomps her feet in anger until you let out a sigh.

(Y/N): Anyway, Paimon, this is Medaka Kurokami. Medaka, this is Paimon.

You said, introducing the two to each other.

Medaka: Paimon, that's a pretty nice name.

Paimon: Why thank you~!

Medaka: By the way, where did you find this fairy?

(Y/N): Well, all I can say is that Paimon just teleported into my room on my bed while sleeping. Plus, what's even surprising is that Paimon comes from a game called "Genshin Impact".

Medaka: Genshin Impact? Do you mean the one you played on your laptop?

(Y/N): Yup, Paimon's the game mascot and she is a non-playable character to Aether or Lumine.

Medaka: Ohhh...that's why this fairy is quite familiar. However...

Medaka then approaches Paimon and began to stretch and pinching her cheeks.

Medaka: I'd say she's quite cute~!

Medaka says with a grin on her face and I can hear Paimon groaning in pain.

Paimon: Let go of Paimon's cheeks! It hurts!

Medaka: Ahaha, my apologies.

Medaka then lets go of Paimon's cheeks until you spoke up.

(Y/N): Now that you know who Paimon is, can you at least keep this secret? I mean, I don't want anyone to freak out about Paimon appearing here in our world.

Medaka: That won't be a problem. Your secret is safe with me.

Paimon: Well aren't you quite straightforward?

Paimon says with an amused smile.

Medaka: I know how I'd do around with (Y/N).

Medaka says while rapidly raising her eyebrows up and down as if she had a small kink on you.

(Y/N): Just don't say that with your eyebrows like that...

-8 Months and Paimon's P.O.V-

Paimon's been into (Y/N)'s homeworld for 8 months now and Paimon's starting to miss Teyvat and Aether. Paimon hopes that he's okay without Paimon around.

Although (Y/N) and Paimon have been getting closer to each other, it's not like we're not into each other or anything, but Paimon feels that we're being best friends, just like Paimon with Aether~!

We often go out somewhere without anyone freaking about Paimon's existence because everyone knows Paimon.

(Y/N) and Medaka also have gotten a lot more closer with each other and I can't help but put a smile on Paimon's face because Paimon feels that those two would get into a lovely relationship together.

When (Y/N)'s parents came home around 3 months ago, they were freaked out upon seeing Paimon with (Y/N). However, we explained who Paimon is and they eventually considered letting Paimon stay in their home.

So right now, (Y/N) and Paimon are now in the room usually watching (Favorite/Show) on T.V until Paimon lets out a big yawn.

(Y/N): Oh? You tired, Paimon?

Paimon: Yeah, Paimon needs some sleep.

(Y/N): I see. I'm also a little tired too so I'll have to sleep as well.

Paimon: Funny.

Paimon says sarcastically as Paimon and (Y/N) head upstairs which is now our room together.

(Y/N) lays on top of his bed first until Paimon floated down onto his chest and lay there.

(Y/N): Hey Paimon...

Paimon: Hm?

(Y/N): If you ever woke up back in your homeworld, would you still miss me? Just like you miss Aether?

Paimon: If Paimon's being honest...then yeah...Paimon's gonna miss you too when Paimon wakes up.

(Y/N): Huh, I see. Well, goodnight, Paimon. You're the best friend that anyone could've ever imagined.

Paimon was surprised upon hearing this as Paimon smiled at (Y/N).

Paimon: Yeah, that's why Paimon is the best traveling companion.

And just like that, Paimon and (Y/N) fell asleep together.

-The Next Day-

???: Paimon, wake up now.

Paimon groaned before waking up as Paimon looks around until Paimon sees a familiar face...

Paimon: Aether!!

Paimon then jumps onto him for a hug which surprised me.

Aether; You surprised me, what's gotten you a little worked up?

Paimon: It's just that Paimon misses you!

Aether: You missed me? When did I say that I was gone?

Paimon: Huh?

Paimon breaks away from the hug as Paimon looks around to see that Paimon is back in Aether's house inside the adepti teapot.

Paimon: Oh...

Aether: Hm? What's wrong? Did you have a bad dream?

Paimon: No, it's not a bad dream.

Aether: Then is it a good dream?

Paimon: Yeah, and Paimon's gonna tell you all about it~!

Aether smiles as he sits down as Paimon began to tell the whole story about the dream.

-Mini Time Skip-

Aether: Wait, so you're telling me that you got teleported into the 21st century and met two people named (Y/N) (L/N) and Medaka Kurokami?

Paimon: Yeah.

Aether: I see. Lumine and I have been traveling to similar worlds like (Y/N) has. Although, it's really heartwarming that you two have bonded with each other, just like you and me.

Paimon: Paimon agrees.

Aether: Well, it's already morning now. Would like you to eat breakfast with me?

Paimon: Sure~! Paimon would love to have breakfast with you again~

Aether smiled as he and Paimon went off to the kitchen to eat breakfast, but not before Paimon turned back to look at Aether's room until a flash of an image got changed into (Y/N)'s room before turning back to Aether's room in a second.

Paimon feels sad that it felt like it was a dream and Paimon wishes to stay with (Y/N) a little longer in that dream.

Aether: Hey Paimon, are you coming?

Paimon: Ah, sorry about that.

Paimon then floated next to Aether as Paimon looks at him until I can see a flash of image of (Y/N) smiling at me with the same happy grin on his face.

Paimon: (Paimon wishes (Y/N) and Medaka hopes in the future that they'll be together without their flying friend with them. Paimon will miss them...)
