Arriving in Purgatory made her feel a lot of things. But, none of them felt safe. Even near the Canadian Rockies, Y/n knew she was in trouble, and would always get found.
Departing the bus and grabbing her luggage, Y/n headed to the hotel to check in, before heading to any open bar. She wasn't a serious drinker or anything, but needed something to calm herself down, so she'll actually be able to sleep later that night. Because even if trouble does find her, it won't be tonight or tomorrow. She'll be able to breathe a bit.
Walking out of the hotel, she headed towards a bar called Shorty's that the locals apparently like. It wasn't that far of a walk, and it wasn't that late in the day, not even past five get, so it shouldn't be packed. Well, Y/n hoped it wouldn't be.
"Shorty's Saloon.." Y/n read the sign over the door, then made her way inside, and luckily, it wasn't pack. A woman behind the bar, and a Sheriff talking with the woman behind the bar, and a couple, possibly, playing pool.
The woman behind the bar is the one that notices her, sending a smile as she tells Y/n the bar's open. Y/n shyly smiles, walking towards the bar and sitting on a stool. "What can I get you?"
"Uh, I really don't know... I don't really drink much. Rum and coke?" The bar lady chuckles, immediately starting on the drink, as the Sheriff speaks up.
"You're new here?" Y/n gives a nod, then smiles and quietly thanks the bar lady.
"Just got here today. But, probably won't be staying long." Y/n winces at the burn that accompanies the drink.
"Why not? If you don't mind me asking." Y/n shakes her head.
"May ex-husband. He somehow knows my location. Doesn't matter any court ordered restraining order, he still finds me. Borderline stalking really. So, minus well make the most of it and just travel around. What else am I gonna do?" They hear the sound of defeat in her voice, both ladies look at each other, then back at the woman.
"I'm Nicole, the local Sheriff, and that's cutie behind the bar," the red head blushes, giggling, "is my beautiful girlfriend, Waverly."
"I'm Y/n. It's a pleasure to meet the two of you."
"Pleasures all ours. Now, how do you think your ex finds you so easily?" Y/n scoffs, mumbling something under her breath that the two ladies can't here. "Hmm?" Y/n shakes her head.
"I don't know. I have no phone, nothing of his that he can track me with, and as far as I know, I don't have a tracker inside me, which yes, I wouldn't put it past him to do."
"This is why I date girls. Less drama." Y/n giggles, nodding.
"I'm pansexual, with the greatest love for women, but Bobby was just so charming and sweat. Of course, once we married, his act dropped and I saw him for who he really was. A drunken bastard. Though, he knew never to lay his hands on me. He knew I could sew and carried a cast iron skillet." The two didn't understand the comment, but decided not to ask.
"Well, I promise you, you're safe here, and if comes around, his ass will be getting locked up and the key will be thrown away."
Y/n gives a smile, but it doesn't reach her eyes. "Thank you-"
"Y/n." Her head snaps towards the door, her ex standing there, staring straight at her. Her mouth drops.
"It's been too days! How the hell did you even find me!" Nicole stands, hand on her gun, ready.
"You're my wife, I will always find you."
"Ex-wife, Bobby. Just leave me alone, please. I'm tired of running, I just wanna be left alone."
"So you run to the Earp's for help? You think they can stop me from getting you? I will always find you. You're mine Y/n, til death do us part."
"What the fuck is a Earp? I ran here because I didn't think you'd fine me yet! And that vow broke the minute you started to mentally abuse me."
"You should leave." The woman holding a pool cube tells, coming to stand between the ex-lovers.
It happens in seconds; Bobby moves so fast, but the woman's faster and three loud bangs happen. The Sheriff turns Y/n towards the bar, so she wouldn't see his ashes. Waverly takes it from there, walking around the bar, and pulling Y/n towards the back. All Y/n can think of, is that she's free, finally safe and sound. But it's not over yet, not when those two because women are around her, it'll never be safe.
