"Dallas, Jason, come put your shoes on please!" Cheryl called out to the twins, holding their shoes in her hands. Y/n came down first, smoothing out her maroon colored skirt, before the twins appeared from their bedroom, followed by Hermione, who held both their jackets.
Cheryl kneeled down, and had the twins sit on the stairs. "I do it mama! I b'ave boy!" Jason cheered, taking his shoes from this mama's hands. Cheryl chuckled, then looked at her daughter.
"Need help baby?" Dallas nodded, holding out her left foot, but carefully watched what her momma did, then moved to the next foot. "There, mon amour."
"Tank you." The little girl whispered.
"I did it!" Jason shouted proudly. Cheryl looked over at her son, and though he did tie his shoes correctly, they were on the wrong feet.
"I'm so proud that you were able to tie your shoes on your own, sweet boy. But, they're on the wrong feet, hun." Though it hurt to see the boy's proud face deflate, he needed to know how to do it correctly.
As Cheryl helps her son, Y/n picks up her daughter and kisses her forehead. She ran her fingers through Dallas' red curls, still wondering how her three-year-old has soft silky hair. It honestly wasn't fair.
"Thank you momma." Jason tells, giving Cheryl a hug. The older red head smiles, kissing his forehead.
"Welcome baby. Are you ready to see Aunt V and Aunt Toni?"
"And baby 'Iver?" Cheryl chuckles, nodding.
"Baby River too." She picks him up, and soon, the family of five are begin their drive to Veronica and Toni's house for their monthly family dinner. No matter how buzzy each family was, they always made family dinner.
The twins watched Finding Nemo as Y/n drove, with Cheryl in the passenger seat. Hermione offered to sit in the back with the kids, because they were just more calm with her, then they were with them. It was weird, but they did what needed to be done.
Pulling up to Veronica's house, the twins were already excited. Jason unbuckling himself and trying to exit the car, but once again, gets scolded by Hermione. As Jason pouts and waits super long for someone to open the door, Dallas waits patiently, then wraps her arms around her ma ma neck, wanting the Latina woman to carry her.
Veronica greets them, and of course, Jason is already off, clinging to his Aunt's legs, giggling and asking question after question. "What, no hug for your Aunt Toni?"
"Auntie Toni!" The little boy screams, rushing inside and throwing himself at Toni's legs.
"Your little boy is gonna be a woman's man." Veronica tells as she hugs each of her friends, then her mom. Dallas is still shy, even though she knows who Veronica is to her, but accepts the kiss that her aunt gives her.
"Is that before or after he gets over his crushes on his aunts?" Veronica lets out a laugh, shaking her head.
Dallas stays on her mama's lap, content with being there as her brother goes off to play. The family sits at the table for drinks, catching up with each other.
Dinner wasn't due for about half an hour, but smelt ridiculously good. Baby River let out a wail, letting the family know he was away, and demanding attention. As Veronica went to fetch the baby, Toni talking about her photos and Y/n asked about a family portrait she wanted done.
"I just wanted one of all of us together. You, River and Veronica included." Toni smiled at being included and they quickly hashed out when it would take place.
When dinner came around, it tasted just as good as it smelled. And the family dug in, sharing laughs and stories as they ate.
By the time the family was leaving, the two children were asleep, ready for their beds.
Once back home and the twins were tucked in and changed, the adults changed as well, cuddling up as they watched a movie or a few shows, before falling asleep from the busy day.
