I sighed and tucked Percy in. That's the second time she's had a nightmare tonight.

"Sorry..." she mumbled, wiping her eyes.

I pressed a kiss to her forehead  before laying back down.

"I could take her to my palace if you want." Poseidon said.

I looked over at the god. He was leaning against the wall, staring at Percy.

"Dad, stop being weird and go home. I'll be fine." She mumbled, moving closer to me.

"Are you sure?"

Percy nodded. Poseidon sighed and disappeared.

I wrapped an arm around Percy, not saying anything as she snuggled close to my chest.

I ran my fingers through her hair, again not commenting as she grabbed my shirt.

"Night Paul." She mumbled.

Percy

I tried my hardest to sleep, I really did. But Paul fell asleep long before I did.

Getting up, I made sure to not to wake him or Mom.

I slipped on my shoes and walked outside.

The moon was bright in the sky as I walked into the woods. Yes I know the woods are dangerous, but hello demigod. What place isn't dangerous for me?

And you can't even say the camps cause well...there are ways to get past the defenses.

Fairies flew alongside me, none of them seemed to know of the day's happenings and I am completely fine with that.

Leaves crunched under my feet and-

"Ow..." I rubbed my head. I walked straight into a tree.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out Riptide. Once it was uncapped, the gentle glow from the blade allowed me to see.

Well, it allowed me to see well enough that I wouldn't run into another tree.

I made my way through the woods, eventually coming out by the pond.

"Hello my lady." A few naiads called, waving at me.

I waved back and took off my shirt, leaving me in a sportsbra.

Which sleeping in bras isn't always comfortable, but sportsbras aren't that bad.

Plus it beats getting attacked and having to fight without a bra.

I capped Riptide and shoved in the pocket of my shorts before jumping into the water.

A few naiads tugged at my arms and hair, but soon they went back to whatever they were doing. Maybe they could sense how much I wanted to be left alone?

Heh, that's funny. Dad probably told them to not really bother me.

I swam around for a little while before heading to the island in the middle. What? It was closer.

The moment I came out of the water and onto the land, I could feel and hear magic crackle across my skin.

"Trying to attack your aunt? That's cold." I sat in front of the shrine.

It glowed briefly and a woman appeared.

"You are?" She asked.

"Percy Jackson, daughter of Poseidon. And you are a unicorn." I gave a lazy grin. "Bracken's mom?"

She slowly nodded. "I was not aware that you were here. I would have invited you to see the new realm. We are inhabiting the demon prison now."

"Cool. And I didn't even know you guys had your own place."

I really need to pay more attention to stuff.

"Your father created it for us. It became especially important when mortals began hunting our kind."

After she said that we sat in an awkward silence. Fairies flew up, bowed, kissed her hand, then flew away. Which reminded me of something.

"How did Kendra become fairykind?"

The Fairy Queen laughed softly. "The first time they were here they ended up releasing the witch Muriel. She tried to release a demon and well long story short Kendra ingested some of the potion used to make fairies the size of mortals. It's highly toxic unless cured but she had a great affinity for light energy and..."

She sighed. "I needed someone who could do stuff the fairies cannot."

I nodded and looked over at her. "Just a pawn?"

"Initially yes, don't give me that look. It is one thing for the gods to do it and another for someone in my position. Besides, she and my son are happy together although I do wonder what their children will look like."

"Kendra's a kid. And how do you know they'll still be together?"

"Leave it to a mother to hope for grandchildren. And I remained faithful to my husband for all of the years I presumed him dead. We unicorns tend to have one love in our lives although since Kendra is a mortal..."

"Doesn't time in your realm pass slower?"

"If we wish it to. But it won't matter. We are in a similar position to the gods in this manner. Downsides of having a full immortal family." Her hand trailed over the ground and a lone silver flower sprouted.

Though it soon withered.

"That should not-"

There was a thud from behind us and I turned. Nico was collapsed on the ground his breathing ragged.

"How dare-"

"He's my cousin." I rushed to his side and took his pulse. It was steady so that was good.

"Okay. Here." She handed me an exact replica of the silver flower. "Give that to my son please. And tell him he can bring Kendra to our realm whenever he pleases."

"Sure. Thanks for not killing me."

"Thank you for visiting." She glowed silver and disappeared.

Shaking my head, I liftedNico into my arms, careful not to destroy the flower.

This is going to be fun to explain.
