"Hey, Midoriya. Want to eat lunch together?"

A dual colour-haired boy approached a green-haired girl who seemed very immersed in an interesting conversation with her best friend, a female brunette. Hearing the popular boy's voice, she turned her head to his direction. A smile stretched up on her plump lips.

"Sure, I love to! Uraraka-san, want to come with us?" The ninth holder of One For All asked, shifting her attention to her best friend forever, named Ochako Uraraka.

Ochako shook her head, mustered a mischievous smirk on heher round, chubby face. "Nope! I promised to have lunch with the girls today! You two enjoy your lunch together!" And in the blink of an eye, the chestnut brown-haired girl stormed out of the classroom.

Both wannabe heroes looked at each other questionably, dumbfounded by their friend's sudden change in attitude. "Eh, whatever. Let's go grab some food, Todoroki-kun!" Izuku reached out to his hand and held it gently, before the two also left the class, heading to the crowded cafeteria.

No one noticed it, but there was someone who had been observing them all this time, piercing vermillion eyes never averted. He just stared— silently from his seat.

Katsuki huffed out his annoyance. Settling his elbow against the clean surface of his table, he rested his cheek in his palm. The spiky-haired explosive boy stared out the window quietly, mind wandering to somewhere else in this spacious, mysterious universe.

Damn it.

Katsuki mentally cussed, irritated by the sight of his childhood crush together with his love rival. If not because of Izuku was there, he would have lashed out at Shouto and exploded him out of the class.

(Yeet—)

But Shouto wasn't the only person that hit his nerve. Izuku's unusually loving action toward the heterochromatic boy ticked him off. From the way she treated him, he knew the curly-haired girl held a special feeling in her heart toward the bi-coloured-haired boy.

How he just wanted to yank Izuku away from Shouto at that time.

But he held himself back for some unknown reason he could never figure out.

"Yo, Bakubro! Let's grab a bite at cafeteria! I'm hungry!"

Eijiro, appearing out of nowhere, slammed his best friend's table brutally, breaking Katsuki out of his deep thoughts. He growled under his breath before standing up from his seat, walking away from the scarlette to go to the cafeteria.

"Oi, wait for me!"

Eijiro tailed behind Katsuki and walked to the cafeteria together to meet up with the rest of the Bakusquad..

A few days later.

Katsuki just returned from running some errands outside the campus— buying a bottle of shampoo and a new toothpaste at the nearest department store.

When he saw the unbelievable, painful sight.

In the dorm ground, there was a courtyard facing the first year dormitory. Katsuki was walking through the hallway, when his eyes— suddenly decided to take a look outside the dorm.

The courtyard.

The Explosion user didn't know why the hell he wanted to look at the courtyard, when before he never bothered to do such ridiculous thing.

Well, looked like fate wanted to piss him off.

In the courtyard stood Shouto and Izuku, facing each other. The heroine was looking up at him, her hand was held by the hybrid hero. There was noticeable red shades on her face.

What the hell— NO.

Shouto brought Izuku's hands close to his face, before those words— those words that smashed Katsuki's heart to pieces— left his mouth. His voice was very clear, loud and serious.

"I love you, Midoriya. Will you be my girlfriend?"

Shouto kissed the back of her hands, causing Izuku to become flustered and panic. She started to stutter like she usually did, hands making weird that no one ever understood. The pomeranian tried to comprehend her response. Sadly, he couldn't catch up with whatever her reply was.

Katsuki just silently watched the two conversing in seriousness. Pretending like he never saw anything, he walked away from the scene, leaving the new couple alone.

Again, I fail. Damn it!

I was too late. Deku really did like Icy-Hot Bastard.

That night, during dinner.

Izuku came down stairs to eat her dinner along with her female friends. How shocked she was to find Katsuki being held down by Eijiro. Her childhood friend was struggling to free himself from the redhead's firm hold, kicking and squirming violently. Denki was hiding behind Hanta, heavily shaking.

"LET ME GO, HAIR FOR BRAIN! LET ME KILL HIM!"

"Bakugou, stop it! Kaminari didn't mean to say that, dude!"

Everyone was trying their best to calm down the short-tempered boy. Izuku, Ochako and Tsuyu immediately ran to the chaotic scene.

Kacchan is more violent than usual.

"Kacchan, what is wrong?"

When her soft, gentle voice spoke up, Katsuki stopped squirming. He turned his head to the girl, furious crimson eyes meeting a curious emerald irises.

Realizing that he was no longer dangerous, Eijiro released him. Katsuki tch'ed harshly and began to walk away from his friends.

"Kacchan, what is wrong? Answer me, please."

Izuku politely demanded, strongly desiring to help her childhood friend. But when Katsuki walked past her, he brushed his shoulder against hers roughly, causing her to fall on her bottom.

"Shut up, Deku. You are freaking annoying!"

Katsuki snapped again, glaring dagger at Izuku. Everyone was silence by his fierce yelling. No one dared to talk back to him.

When Katsuki's figure fully disappeared from the sight, Izuku broke down into tears. Ochako and Tsuyu quickly went to help their crying friend.

Why is Kacchan so mad? Does it have something to do with me? Or did I unintentionally offend him? Just when we are about to get along again... Why did this have to happen..?

"Man, this is the worst. Bakugou is being extra harsh to everyone today."

Eijiro rubbed the back of his neck in complete defeat. He didn't know what to do to help his angry buddy calm down again.

Several days had passed since Shouto confessed his feelings to Izuku. And in these past few days, class 1-A students had been distancing themselves from their extremely  hot-headed classmate. Katsuki was being oddly rude to his classmates, even though they had done nothing to deserve such treatment.

His change hit Izuku hard the most, yet he didn't notice it.

Katsuki was on his way back to the dorm, walking by himself only. His squad had left first since they knew he wanted to be left alone.

When Katsuki strolled past the cherry blossom park, he heard soft sobbing. At first, he wanted to ignore it, but when he concetrated on the sobbing, he recognized the voice.

Izuku's voice.

His stomach began churning all of a sudden, negative energy surging through his body.

Shoot, why the hell is she crying? That crybaby.

Heaving a deep sigh of annoyance, Katsuki looked around the beautiful park. He then spotted a teenage girl figure, sitting on a bench sobbing sorrowfully.

The ashen blonde-haired boy stood before the forest-haired girl, staring at her quietly. Aware of his presence, Izuku rose her head up. Her heart stopped for a moment when their gazes met.

"Why the heck are you crying, Deku?"

Katsuki huskily asked, eyes glaring down at Izuku. She panickally wiped away her tears and got up from the bench, thinking of leaving the place as soon as she could.

Realizing she was about to run away, Katsuki gripped her wrist to stop her from leaving. Izuku gasped at the rough treatment, turning to look at him. She then furiously screamed,

"Let me go, Kacchan!"

"Stop being so stubborn! Just answer me!"

Izuku struggled to free her wrist from his firm grip, but it only resulted on him to use more strength. Tears formed again in her eyes as painful sensation shot through her arm.

"P-please, stop... You are hurting me..."

"I won't let you go until you tell me."

The sandy blonde-haired boy stayed stubborn, pulling the girl closer to him. Izuku gritted her teeth shakily.

"You are the one who made me cry! Y-you kept i-ignoring me and y-yelled at me for no reason! It hurt me, Kacchan!"

Izuku cried out in heartbreak, her cries filled the entire garden. Katsuki was caught off guard by her remark.

"I-I thought we had gotten c-closer... I thought we could be f-friends like before... But you started treating me l-like you used to be.... I don't know where I did wrong, Kacchan..."

"Why? Why are you treating me coldly like this, Kacchan? What did I do to deserve this?"

Izuku lifted her head up, staring at his face with watery eyes. Katsuki froze there, not a single word was uttered.

But his body reacted before he could think of a proper answer.

Without holding back, Katsuki pulled Izuku into a tight yet gentle embrace. His strong arms wrapped around her body. Izuku was shocked by his action.

"...sorry..."

That one word slipped from his trembling lips.

Damn, I just made her cry again!

"I never meant to do that.... No, honestly, I didn't know myself. I just hate to see you with that Icy-Hot Jerk  " Katsuki, not planning to let her go, tightened the loving embrace. Izuku felt her cheek gradually warming up.

Crystal liquid flowed down her cheeks once again. She clutched on the back of his top, gripping tightly. "If you are truly s-sorry, then don't leave me again. I-I want you by my side forever.... I-I love you Kacchan."

Izuku, not able to bear the burden in her heart, eventually confessed her feelings. Katsuki didn't expect this— hastily letting her go from the hug.

"Aren't you and Icy-Hot—"

"No, I rejected him. I didn't like him that way, Kacchan. Because... I love you, Kacchan... Not him..."

Hearing those three words again, Katsuki was sure he didn't hear it wrong. Izuku nervously waited for his reply.

I don't think he feels the same way...

Izuku suddenly felt warm hands gently cupping her cheeks. She opened her eyes, only to feel a pair of soft lips pressed against hers.

Her eyes flew open. Katsuki was kissing her affectionately, tongue wrapped with hers.

The two broke apart after felt like eternity. Katsuki averted his eyes, dark blushes tinted on his cheeks.

"I love you too, Izuku."
