Izuku scratched her cheek uncertainly, her fingers kept flipping some pages of the cooking recipe book. Sighing in complete defeat, she laid her head on the dining table, totally at loss.
What is happening to our female protagonist in this current situation?

Truthfully, her parents anniversary was around the corner. Izuku was planning to surprise them with appetizing, luxurious homemade cooking. She was okay at cooking. Only could make simple dishes... But she couldn't cook complicated dishes. Well, probably could work that out. Perhaps she could just follow the instructions in the recipe book if she decided to make complicated meals.

No, that wasn't the thing she worried about.

The main problem right now was Izuku had no idea what kind of meal to serve to her parents!

Her parents weren't picky when it came to food. They ate nutritional, balance meals everyday. Rarely consumed unhealthy food such as sweets or stuffs like that. This made it easier for Izuku to cook.

However, the teenage girl wanted to make something... That was special for them. Something that would remain in their hearts forever. A meal that would touch their feelings, or reminded them of the old memories from their adolescences.

Maybe cook something that remind them of their first meeting?

But Izuku didn't know what they ate when they first met. She never asked- and Hisashi and Inko never told her.

If she asks them now, her surprise plan will be ruined.

Gosh, what should she do now? At this rate, if she couldn't cook the special, complicated dishes, she needed to hire someone else to cook.

No, no. She didn't want that!

.... But what choices were left for her...?

...unless...

"Kuro-saaaaan!!!"

Izuku stormed her way to down stairs where all villains were hanging out; the bar area. Some of the evildoers choked on their drinks, surprised by her sudden visit. They started coughing violently.

Kurogiri was making some drinks for his other comrades. Hearing his name intrigued him. The floating mist lifted his head up, staring at his boss' daughter questionably.

"Yes... Izuku? How can I help you?"

Kurogiri asked, purely curious with Izuku's drastic change in attitude. His mind wouldn't stop wondering the reason her yelling his name out loudly. That wasn't like her to do that.

Rushing to the little bar corner, the greenette slammed her hands on the bar counter. Tomura turned to her direction, heaving a deep sigh of exhaustion.

"Please stop being so dramatic... You are giving everyone heartattack, Izu-"

"THIS IS IMPORTANT!"

Izuku hollered again, now gaining everyone's attention. Hikito suddenly spinned his bloody knife. "Tell me who I need to stab! I will do it immediately!!" He giggled evilishly, golden eyes widening with insanity.

"What- no, no! That is not what I mean! I need your help, Kuro-san!"

Her full attention was shifted to the said warp man, who seemed very immersed in rubbing a dirty glass clean with a blue rag. Kurogiri raised his mist head once again, glowing golden yellow eyes fixed on her freckles-covered face.

But a look of nervousness had taken over the serious expression. Izuku fiddled with her fingers, her mouth opened up to speak up again, her voice low with uncertainty and shyness,

"Can you... Um... Teach me how to cook...?"

Oh.

Now, Kurogiri didn't expect such request. He put down the glass on the counter, his eyes squinting a little, as if he wanted to show his limited-edition smile that was hidden in his mist. He answered with deep, gentle voice that was filled with eagerness,

"Sure, dear. You are quite fortunate that I'm unoccupied today."

Kurogiri walked out of his bar corner, fixing his tie with his dark purplish foggy hands. A smile spread across Izuku's face, before she burst out her laughter of joy.

"Thank you, Kuro-san! Thank you so much! You are my savior!"

Izuku rushed to wrap her arms around his body. She hummed delightfully, nuzzling her head on his chest. Surprised by her unusual affectionate treatment, Kurogiri froze in silence.

A groan of irritation coming from Tomura intervened with their touching bonding time. "Just freaking leave already, Kurogiri. Tch..." The annoyed male looked away from his assistant.

"Okay! Let's go, Kuro-san!"

Izuku held Kurogiri's hand while smiling widely at the Warp Gate user. He silently nodded his head, walking into the kitchen with her.

When their figures disappeared, Hikito cackled his crazy laughter as he clenched his stomach.

"Tomura-kun is jealous!"

"SHUT UP, TOGA!"

•••••

"Hm... So you want to cook something special for Master and his wife... Like you said, it is difficult to decide the perfect meals for them. Since this is their 20th Anniversary."

Kurogiri wrote down every single word Izuku uttered as his head nodded along. The young woman chewed on her bottom lip. She stared at his mist face expectantly.

"Can you... Help me cook... And decide the meal?"

Izuku intertwined her fingers, eyebrows furrowing in sadness. She didn't want this plan to fail. This was once-in-a-lifetime celebration for her parents. She wanted to make it very memorable for them.

"Of course, Izu. I see no reason to turn down your noble request."

Kurogiri ruffled her fluffy, curly hair softly. Izuku's face became a little red upon feeling his gentle hand on her head. She smiled happily, enjoying his gentle action.

"Now, a question... Do you know what is their favourite dish?"

"Favourite dish? Um..."

Izuku rubbed her chin with her thumb, acting like a detective trying to solve the hardest case existed. An idea popped up in her mind.

"Katsudon, why?"

"Well, that is a good choice. Making their favourite dishes is the best option, in my opinion."

Izuku tilted her head, confused by his words. "But Mom usually cooks katsudon for Dad... Don't you think it is a bit boring to make katsudon for their anniversary?"

Kurogiri heartily chuckled and patted her small shoulder. "I assume you have never cooked for them before, haven't you?"

When Izuku heard that, her faint quickly turned bright scarlet. She shyly nodded her head as a yes.

"Then... Won't it be very special and touching dishes when you cook it, from the bottom of your heart for your parents, with a thought to make them happy?"

Izuku was awed by his words. Her eyes sparkled with amazement, before she spoke up to agree,

"Y-You are right! Thank you, Kuro-san! You are so smart! B-but.. I don't know how to make katsudon."

"Don't worry, I will help you with that. Just follow my guidance and I guarantee you will make the most delicious katsudon ever."

Izuku felt like she was going to cry. Kurogiri was too kind and loving.

The female teenager surged forward to hug him again.

"Alright. Now we can start cooking."

As Kurogiri stated, Izuku followed his guidance and tried to make the best katsudon ever. But at the end of the day, they ended up cooking together happily, enjoying their time in the kitchen.

The plan was a big success.
