Chapter 7. Dinner

Sunstreaker flopped beside me, wrapping his arm around me. "How did it go?" I mumbled, leaning into him. "Boring," he sulked arrogantly. I shifted so I could lay down and rest my head on his lap. "We are going to leave within an hour," he said. I gave a small nod and nuzzled in his stomach. He wrapped his arms around me and bend over, giving me a kiss. I smiled and straddled him. His hands traveled towards my hips and squeezed them. "Why don't you just do it?" he asked. "Do what?" I asked. "Kissing me..." he said. "I kissed you once... a while back. You should kiss me first," I said. Sunny rolled his eyes, "ain't going to happen," he said and poked my ribs. "Why not? Why should I take the first step?" I asked.

"Do you think it will be a smart idea? You dating a psychopath?" he asked. "Why so insecure?" I murmured, rubbing his cheek. "I am not insecure," he grumbled. "Then what is it?" I asked. He shrugged, "are you scared I will reject or hurt your feelings?" I asked. "You know... we are bonded, it means that we need each other. If it doesn't work out... we break up I will probably kill you," he said. "What if I am not what you expect?" he asked. "You are insecure," I said, staring into his beautiful blue eyes. "That's why you haven't done anything yet..." He rolled his eyes.

"You do love me..." He snorted and threw his head against the backrest of the couch. "I am crazy about you... yes but––" he trailed off and stopped, staring me in the eyes. "You know how possesive I am... if I fully commit to my strange feelings, I don't know if you would still like being around me. I pressed my forehead against his. "I want nothing more but be with you, Sunny," I murmured. "I want to know all your secrets, all your demons and support you in whatever you want to do. I never cared about your killing obession. The moment I saw you... I fell in love with you." A smile crept up on his face.

"I lost everything... even you at some point. I can't live without you."

"I know..." he whispered and closed his eyes for a moment. "Neither can I," he muttered under his breath. His lips ghosted over mine as he spoke up again, "I love you..." I smiled at his words. "I love you too, Sunstreaker," I rested my hand on his cheek and smiled. The mech wrapped his arms tighter around me. I nuzzled my nose with his. His eyes were azure blue. Something I had only seen once before. "Shall we get ready for dinner?" I pecked his lips before getting up. I changed my comfy clothing for something more suitable and we left. "You look beautiful..." I smiled at him. "Thank you," I murmured.

When were sitting in my favorite restaurant, I decided to ask Sunstreaker about what Dreadraid confirmed. "Hey Sunny?" He hummed while scanning the meny card. "I was curious... uhm, Dreadraid told me–" he cut me off. "Skylar, I don't want to talk about that right now," he snapped and glared at me. "You never want to talk about it... you promised me answers," I said. "And I said no! I am the mech and you should listen to me. Don't forget who's in charge, human," he snapped, pointing at me. I sighed and gave a small nod. I didn't want to argue with him right now, I'll try later. Maybe tomorrow.

After dinner, which was fun, we headed back to base. Sunstreaker still hadn't kissed me to my frustration. He wanted me to kiss him first. "Babe..." He nearly choked in his glass of water. His eyes went wide, "how did you just call me?" he asked. "Babe..." I repeated. He placed the glass down and stared at me with shock, disbelief and a little suspiscion. "Why would you call me that?" he asked. "Aren't you my... babe?" I asked. He gritted his teeth, thinking about it for a moment before looking at me. "Basically... no..."

"We aren't offically a couple... should ask me first if I want to be your boyfriend," he said. I laughed, "no, Sunny... that's your job. Usually, in most cases... guys ask girls and since I have taken more steps then you did... now it's your turn, unless you don't have the balls to ask me," I mocked. "You know I have balls," he snapped. I raised my hands in peace, "don't be so defensive, Sunstreaker. He pointed his knife at me. "You are telling me I don't have--" I cut him off. "I was trying to say that you're being a coward." He snorted in anger and pushed me aside.

"I am not a coward!" he shouted. I crossed my arms, "I am not a corward," he snapped. I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Don't be so defensive." He glared at me. "Than don't say those things to me," he snapped. I kissed his cheek, "you always think I am trying to hurt your feelings... you don't know what sarcamn is." He rolled his eyes at me. I know he's not able to show really what he feels and although psycho's don't really feel love, he cares about me in his own way. Sunny just can't deal with it.

"Let's go to sleep." I stepped back and grabbed a few things. "You're mad?" I glanced at him. "No, of course not... I am not mad, silly mech," I nudged his side and changed my clothing before laying down. He laid beside me and crawled closer, seeking for some attention and affection. He sighed and delight as I started to massage his scalp and neck. "My strong warrior," I murmured. He smirked with his eyes closed and completely relaxed. He started dozing off and fell in a deep slumber. "I love you, Sunstreaker," I whispered near his ear.
