I woke up when a stream of cold air hit my back.  I got up and turned around to see what was happening. It was a lady with brown eyes and white skin. She had opened the cage and was tipping a bag into the empty bowl in our cage. As little chunks came into the bowl, I realized what it was. Food! We all ran towards it and buried our noses in the bowl. 

     Suddenly, our feast was interrupted by another lady, but this one had a little girl with her.  The girl's eyes lit up with excitement when she saw me.

     "That one, mommy!" She yelled. "I want that one!" She half squealed, pointing to me.  She sprinted over and stuck her hand through the bars, trying to reach me. I shrunk away.  

     "Good choice." The lady that had fed us said.  "These are new, about five weeks old, and need a new home." She said, smiling.  "Yay! Let's take that one!" The little girl squealed. "Okay, okay honey, let's get your kitty and go home." Said the other woman.  "If you adopt a baby cat, it's smarter to get two. The first one will need company." Said the feeding lady. "Ooh, yes, yes, yes, yes!" The little girl said. "Mommy, did you hear that? We have to get two kitties!" 

    "Okay, okay, anything you want, my dear, let's just go home quickly." The woman said.  "Yay! Let's get it let's get it let's go let's go let's go!"  the girl squealed.  The woman opened the cage, took me out, and put me in the soft box again.
