Though your plot is rather simple, it works amazingly. I enjoyed the cliffhanger at the end that you created with that last twist.

The cover you used, although it could use colour, looks amazing and fits the story well.

Your character Alex was well built and I could almost imagine myself in his situation due to the way you modeled him. As a reader I did not learn much about Alex, although that is to be expected in a short story.

Your spelling and grammar was on point, normally I would correct the ones I find but in yours I could not find a single one. So either they are so subtle the reader doesn't notice them or they don't exist.
