Someone Will Love You, Eventually

The sun just can't understand why everyone seems to love her so much.

She takes up too much space and scorches any planet, smaller star or
moon that happens to come too close to her; She much rather be a tiny
star in comparison.

She's so destructive and she is unable to hold onto her flames for very long.
She once scorched the moon and she's never forgiven herself for it.

The sun just wants to be closer to the planets and make it up to the moon
that she lost because at the moment it feels as if the whole universe loathes her, no matter how many times the other stars circle around her trying to
lift her back up; It's as if she just doesn't notice them.

The sun's too focused on getting the moons attention,
but she stays where she is, pain in her gaze;
she just doesn't want to get burned again.

Venus looks at the brightest, largest star in awe and sees the constellations
that the smaller stars have built around her, wondering when the sun will
finally notice how much she loves her.

Every so often  the sun notices that while all the other planets and the moon
are slowly turning away from her leaving her feeling hollow, Venus seems
to turn towards her warmth with a smile.

Instead of burning up like the rest of the galaxy she enjoys the
sun's warm embrace shielding her from the frozen universe.

Over time the stars protect the sun and moon from each other's gaze
and Venus inches closer to the shy sun and eventually they whisper
to each other and the moon hears everything despite telling herself to stop.

With Venus' the sun finally understands why
Everyone seems to love her so much.

But even the moon finds Pluto eventually and
Pluto loves her without setting her heart on fire.

Loves her not despite her craters, but in spite of them.

They make each other feel whole again and in seeing
the moon finally happy the sun can breathe easily again.
