The way they look down when you talk...

I don't care what the world says..
I don't care what everyone thinks...
I want to hold you tight and take all your worries away!
Make you smile..
Make you laugh..

But my past stops me..
I don't want to hurt you..
I just don't know ...
I want to be with you..
But I'm afraid I'll hurt you.
I'm afraid my memories will hurt you.
I'm afraid you'll make my worries yours and suffer alone..
I want to pull you out from any darkness that is around..

I want to be there, standing besides you through thick and thin..
