Applejack's PoV
I got a text from Rarity at about 5am, which surprisingly I was up. Sleeping on the floor wasn't comfortable at all.
Hey AppleJack, sorry if I woke you, but if you remember, yesterday I wanted to talk to you, and obviously we didn't get the chance, which is fine, but do you mind meeting me before school today, so we can talk, please 🙃  -Rarity
I blushed. Her message was really sweet, and so I got ready early so I could meet her. I quickly checked upstairs on the girls, but they were fine. At about 7, which was definitely way too early, I set off to school. I got a drink so I wouldn't feel too tired (don't worry it wasnt alcohol 😉🤣). When Rarity came, we had half an hour before school started. She came up to me, not realising her sister was trailing behind her, and was about to speak to me.
Me: "Hang on, does..uh..your sister want to hear too?" I pointed to Sweetiebelle, not wanting to be rude.
Rarity: "Sweetiebelle, darling, can you go please? What about your friends, Scootaloo perhaps?
Sweetiebelle: "She's not here, she visiting her mum today."
Me: "AppleBloom's sure to come. BigMac will drop her off soon." She smiled and hurried off. Then Rarity looked at me straight in the eye. I blushed, again. She was making me feel awkward and, of course, she was my crush...
Then she grabbed my hands and my face turned into a literal Pinkie Pie.
Rarity: "Applejack...I- I love you...and, even though we got off to a bad start, I realised how sweet and amazing you are, and kind and honest, and I just...I just wanted to tell you that."
Her words actually made me tear up and I threw my arms over her shoulders and hugged her tight. It was different from a normal hug. Her hands were round my waist and it made my stomach feel light.
AppleJack: "Rarity I love you too!" I cried. She had been there for me when I was upset the other day, and here I was crying again. The bell went for class but we just stayed there, until she look up at me and kissed me right on the lips. I kissed her back, and pulled away before we headed to....science....🤦‍♀️
Rarity: "Hey, my parents are out for about 2 hours after school. Wanna come round?" I smiled, but thoughts came into my mind that I wanted to immediately get rid of.
Like every time we have science first lesson, Rainbow Dash was waiting for me. My cheeks were still red from Rarity, and when me, Rainbow and Rarity entered class together five minutes late, the teacher told us to stay behind. Oh well, what's the worse that could happen? Me and Rarity were together. Nothing could ruin this day.
I took my usual seat at the back, next to Rainbow Dash, and she kept asking me about Rarity. She obviously saw what had happened, just like when I saw her and Fluttershy.
Rainbow: "I knew you guys would end up together! It's so funny how Granny Smith thought we were—"
Teacher: "Dash, you and AppleJack are already in a break time detention. Do you want me to make that into an hour after school?" We shook our heads and shut up after that. I definitely didn't want to miss another opportunity with Rarity.

Rarity's PoV
I remember AppleJack telling me before how she used to have a crush on Rainbow Dash, and I think that was why they sat next to each other, the teacher didn't let us change seats. I sat next to Fluttershy, which was inconvenient (is that a word?) because both of our...well....girlfriends were constantly talking and messing around, which made me feel a tiny bit jealous...
Teacher: "Ok guys, you may leave. Rarity, Rainbow Dash and AppleJack stay behind please." Everyone left the room as us three walked over to the front near her desk. I had never really got into trouble before, but AppleJack and Rainbow were sniggering, as if they were used to this.
Teacher: "Rarity, I am disappointed, and as you have never really been in this situation before, unlike these other two girls, I would like you to tell me the honest truth as to why you were late. If I find out you were lying there will be more trouble." I turned to the girls and they were subtly shaking their heads. I had to think of something on the spot.
Me: "You see miss, Rainbow Dash and AppleJack were round my house this morning, and, as you probably already know, the traffic was tremendous, and so we found it incredibly difficult to get to school on time for our lesson. My greatest apologies." She seemed like she bought it.
Teacher: "And what then explains your fellow classmate's red cheeks?" She pointed over at AppleJack, who was still shaking her head.
Me: "I suspect embarrassment. I almost felt the same coming in late to a class full of students just watching you enter." She nodded and apologised for keeping us in, then she let us go.
Went we got outside Rainbow Dash put her arms over both me and Applejack's shoulders.
Rainbow: "Well that was dramatic. Usually we just say the bus is late and she's fine with it..." Applejack laughed.
Me: "So, are you guys late every morning then?"
They nodded, and I guessed this was something I was going to have to get used to. Although, hopefully, Rainbow Dash spending more time with Fluttershy might change that...

—After School—

I waited for AppleJack before we walked back to my place. We were holding hands, and constantly telling each other how we loved each other. (Weird sentence) Luckily she hadn't noticed how nervous I was. My parents didn't approve of gay people...I think. I just hoped they didn't come back early...
