Applejack's PoV

After school we all saw each other again, including Rarity...
Twilight: "Bye guys, me and Pinkie are going to head back to my place, it looks like it's going to start storming soon..." So off Twilight and Pinkie went.
Fluttershy: "Oh no! A storm?! My poor animals, they'll be scared! Sorry girls I'm going to go too. See you tomorrow!" And Fluttershy followed. Great, now it was just me, Rainbow and Rarity. Rainbow Dash surely wouldn't leave me in a situation like this though.
-Thunder sound-
Rarity: "No-no-no-no, it can't start raining! My hair, I only just curled it today!"
Me: "Sorry Rarity, but does it really matter?" I blurted out in a really bitchy voice that I didn't mean to do.
Rarity: "Yes, it does actually. You may not know me but I care very much about my looks."
Me: "I don't actually care what you care about to be honest." I sort of stomped off. I had no idea what I was doing. I walked back to my house with Rainbow Dash behind me and slumped onto the sofa.
Rainbow: "Woah! What's up with you? You on your period or something?"
Me: "Um...no? That was random?...?"
Rainbow: "Not really, cause I am."
Me: "And why did I need to know that?"
Rainbow: "Applejack seriously what's up? Did something happen? You can tell me."
Me: "I honestly don't know what got me like this! I think it's something to do with Rarity. I just don't get why she suddenly decides that she's now one of us, like, out of nowhere!" Rainbow put her hand on my lap to comfort me. She was being very touchy with me, and I think she had a crush— actually I know she has a crush on me.

—Skip to the weekend—
I woke up at about 3am. Not ideal for a Saturday morning. I heard loud coughing downstairs, which sounded like Granny, but she's always coughing, so I was probably just sleeping very lightly this time. I tired to get back to sleep but the coughing didn't stop so I went down to Granny's room to investigate. Granny Smith was sitting on the side of her bed, and it looked like she was coughing up blood..........😣
Me: "Granny are you ok?"
She couldn't reply and just shook her head. I made her lie down and got her water. I was so panicked, I hadn't dealt with anything like this before. I heard someone coming down the stairs. It was my brother. He told me to go back to bed, and he stayed with Granny. Luckily AppleBloom wasn't up.

I managed to sleep a tiny bit, before AppleBloom came and woke me up again, so I could take her to see her friends. I didn't tell AppleBloom about Granny and while she got ready I went downstairs to check on her. She didn't look good and I could see that BicMac had been crying, so my eyes began to swell up too. I took AppleBloom to see her friends, and she pointed me out one of her new friends, Sweetiebelle.
AppleBloom: "And her sister's also in your year, her names Rarity!"
Me: "Oh...so you're Rarity's sister I've heard so much about! Nice to meet you I'm AppleJack...." I smiled at her... she kind of looked like Rarity. Same skin tone I guess.
Me: "Well have fun girls." I was determined to get back to Granny, and I had left my phone at home so BigMac wouldn't be able to contact me if anything happened.
I was just about to start walking back when I noticed Rarity coming my way. I supposed she wanted to ask me about Monday...
Rarity: "Hey AppleJack! Wanna walk back with me?"
Me: "Sure..."
She didn't mention my attitude on Monday, but of course, it started raining again. This time I didn't try to wind her up and we ran into a little hut. I turned a light on, and the wind slammed the door shut. She screamed.
Me: "It's fine! Look it just the wind!" I went to grab the door handle, but it didn't work. "Uh...."
Rarity: "You mean we're stuck in here until someone saves us?" She shivered and I smiled.
Me: "At least we have each other..." I sat down and thought about what could be going on, but my mind was brought back to Granny and BigMac back at home. I felt my eyes swelling up again.
Rarity: "AppleJack darling are you alright?" At this point a tear started running down my cheek. Granny Smith was getting old anyway....what if—
The wind suddenly howled and it caused the light to go out. We were left in complete darkness and it made me start bawling out crying like a baby.
Rarity: "Oh goodness, sweetie it will be ok! There's nothing to worry about. As you said, at least we have each other, even though I can't quite see you." I followed the sound of her voice and tried to gab her hand so she knew where I was. We found each other and sat down.
Me: "It not that..." I mumbled.
Rarity: "You can tell me....only if you want I mean.... We aren't that close anyway...."
Me: "No it's fine. You see, last night my Granny was really sick, and I'm scared she ain't going to get any better." She grabbed my hand again and squeezed it.
Rarity: "I know how you feel. Me and my parents were in wrecks when my Grandmother died a few months ago, but we had people to comfort us... It will be fine and I'm sure it's just an little bug. Loads of people are sure to get colds in this weather. And no offence, but you know what old people are like; one small hiccup and they think that they're dying."
I knew she was trying her best but it really wasn't helping...
Me: "It's different though. I—I lost my parents too and it's just me, my brother BigMac, AppleBloom and granny...." She could tell I was going to start crying again so she pulled my head down to her shoulder and let me sob while she rubbed my back. It felt so awkward but it did make me feel better.
