Applejack's PoV

"C'mon I'm gonna be late!!!" I heard AppleBloom whining in my face. I checked my clock, 8:30. Shoot...I really was going to be late... I threw my sister off my back and got dressed, before rushing her to school with me. It was the first day back after summer and I wasn't going to get my first late of the year on the very first day!

Rainbow: "AJ! Where the hell where you? You realise I'm going to get killed by the teacher thanks to you!"
Me: "So why 'the hell' did you wait for me? The teacher's gonna accuse us for snogging in the corridors or something dumb like that!" It was true, our science teacher is constantly jumping to those kind of conclusions when at least two of us are late to her class.
Teacher: "Girls? I hope you two haven't been doing what I think you have been doing....?" Rainbow just rolled her eyes and told her the bus was late.... she believed us.
I took my seat at the back, because why not, and looked around at our class for this year. I saw Pinkie and Twilight at the front, and Fluttershy was sitting in the other back corner. Obviously Rainbow Dash came and sat next to me. I recognised most people from around the school, but then I saw the back of someone's head, who I definitely hadn't seen before. She had long purple curls and when she raised her hand I noticed her pale skin and rather expensive looking jewellery, nothing that I could afford, that's for sure... After registration was taken, I found out her name was Rarity, and after class Pinkie Pie said that she was determined to meet her, so that's what she did.
Pinkie: "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! Are you new here? Where are you from? Is this scary for you??"
Twilight: "Pinkie calm down. Let her speak for heavens sake!"
Rarity: "Uh..well...yes, I am new, and my name is Rarity. I just moved here last week, with my sister...and yes,that was pretty overwhelming, but thank you Pinkie..." She had a very... posh accent. It was different from how I speak, but then, everyone is different to how I speak.
Pinkie: "Yay! Let me introduce you!" She grabbed us one by one. "This is Rainbow Dash, who is the captain of pretty much everything here. She is really good at sports!" Rainbow put her arm around my shoulder and whispered to me:
Rainbow: "See, that's what you call a reputation!"
Pinkie pointed at me.
Pinkie: "This here is AppleJack, who is suuuppper nice, and honest! She's also a kind of athlete, but not like Rainbow." I rolled my eyes at Rainbow and she quietly giggled.
Pinkie: "Here is Twilight, my bff actually!" Twilight laughed. "And over there is Fluttershy."
Rarity nodded.
Rarity: "Well it's very nice to meet you all!"
Pinkie: "Wait!!!!" She ran over and dragged Sunset Shimmer over who just happened to be walking past. "You can't forget Sunset Shimmer! You see, she used to be reeeeaaaaalllllyyy mean, but we're all friends now, and she also super nice."
Sunset: "Uh....hi?"
Rarity: "Lovely to meet you, I'm Rarity darling."
Darling? Who even calls each other that? I reckoned that me and Rarity weren't going to be the best of friends, considering how different we were.
Rainbow: "Come on girls, let's get lunch." (A/N Yes now it is suddenly lunch time)

Rainbow Dash's PoV
I didn't think much of Rarity. She was too high and mighty for my liking... At lunch I sat opposite AJ so we could talk, but Rarity just sat next to Applejack, and kept on butting in to our conversations. Seriously? We never even asked her to sit with us. Me and AppleJack both wanted to just talk, so we went outsides and told them we both needed to go to the bathroom.
Me: "So... She's...uh...."
AJ: "Different?"
I nodded. She laughed. We sat down by a wall behind the school and for a moment didn't say anything.
AJ: "Well at least we have each other. I don't think I'd be able to cope." I gave her an awkward smile. "Seriously though, Pinkie Pie didn't even give one thought about me, and just compared me to you when she introduced me!"
Me: "Well I am the cooler one!!" We laughed and she friendly punched me.
We didn't say anything for a while after that as well and then things just started to get awkward....for me. I admitted to myself that I had a huge crush on my best friend, but didn't want to admit it to...well...my best friend. AppleJack didn't know that I felt that way about her but I feel like if she did, we would be sooooooo awkward! I had to think of something to say before she left to go to be early for class. Boring..
Me: "My hands are absolutely killing me after writing that essay for English today...."
AppleJack: "I know! It's painful!" She stretched her hands out in front of her but then accidentally put them down on top of my hand, and we both blushed.
AppleJack: "Oops...uh...sorry." I didn't reply, but smiled at her. I wanted something to happen, like in those sappy romantic movies....that I never watch...... but nothing happened, and she went to class...
