That's Just Who You Are

Everyone knows someone

Who gets under their nerves

I just need to get this out, so please just bear with me

Some things in life are super tough

Especially when revolving around the subject of people

People, people, people

How do I say this without sounding like I hate the world?

I promise that's not really the case,

But there are some people who just really kill me

Especially one person right now

So let me just get this out...

You.

You are the one who embarrasses me, who humiliates me.

You are the one drives me up the wall.

You are the one who calls me the liar, though I would think first about that one.

You are the one who pushes and goes way too far,

Then pins everything on me.

That's just who you are.

You like to tease, but hate getting teased back.

You like do things even though it annoys people,

And when they do it back to prove a point, you get upset.

And you still wonder why we don't like you doing those things!

You are the type of person who never knows when to quit.

You are the one who brings me down, makes me feel worthless.

You are an instigator, turning everyone against one person.

That's just who you are.

You pretend that you're happy, but I can see that you're not.

I've tried to help you, don't say that I haven't.

You are so angry, but fake a smile.

You've been building up this anger for quite sometime, I can tell.

Now you can't take it anymore.

At first, you were able to hide your anger

I loved being around you,

But now the anger is just too much

And you're out of control.

I tried to help, but you pushed too far,

And that was the final straw.

Don't tell me something about myself, acting like you know me best

Don't try to tell me what I should or shouldn't do, you hypocrite.

Don't try to tell me that I know something when I'm downright clueless

Just because you do, doesn't mean I do.

You see, I'm not you.

None of us are.

There is only one you

And that you is spinning out of control.

It seems like you are losing track of who you are, too.

I've cried too many times for me, and tried to talk to you,

But time for that is over

If this is who you are choosing to be, well,

That's just who you are.
