This is not a poem but what I really feel about my favorite subject.

One day one of my friends asked me, why do I like literature and why do I study it as a subject??

I really don't know why people don't like literature. I meant literature as a whole, not just as books.

I truly believe that literature is one of the best subjects you can learn or at least self-learn. Literature is not boring. Hell, it's far from boring. It's interesting but more than that it's beautiful. It takes you to another dimension, where you see the truth about the world you live and about the people you associate each day.

When you take biology and literature as two different studies, I see a connection in them. (No offense if you think it's wrong, this is just my opinion) In both studies we learn about the human body and the interactions we have with the environment we live in. But the difference is;

In biology we learn about the human body to its core. We learn about the body parts, inside and outside. We learn about how our body functions, how it's build and what the body parts do and why those parts are there in our body. We also learn about the universe, about atoms and all. And there are many interesting remarkable fields in which you can further study, whatever you want. In my opinion this is biology or rather science.

In literature we learn about the body too. We learn that there are two genders and they are different in their own ways, same as in science at first. But what makes literature more interesting is the fact that we learn about the feelings. We learn about human qualities, about how people live and die, about how the society works, about the mindset of the people, about the relationships and so on. Literature teach us how to live the life properly and more efficiently. Literature teach about the human being to its core not the physical body. Through literature we are able to understand one another and about the society and what other people expect from us. Literature teach you to be a good human. A good member in the society. It helps us to express our feelings, our frustrations, our experiences. Unlike in any other, literature teach us that, words are a very powerful weapon, where just by a single word a person can be killed or healed. In my opinion this is literature, the truth about the world.

The reason why I like literature is because I enjoy it more than anything. I'm not just blabbering things. I love reading and writing more than anything and it's my passion like many. I like literature, because it teaches me how to live and how to understand people. There are pros and cons in everything. So does in literature.

The people who understand the value and the people who like Literature truly understand how beautiful the subject is. It's not about getting an A+ for the exam. The point where it proves, that you have studied and truly understood what is literature is shown when you live your life by helping each other and by living according to your own morals. I guess that's why I love literature. I see the beauty in it and I have never seen such an interesting and beautiful subject as literature, or even a part of it in other subjects.

So tell me about why you like literature?? Why you like reading ??
