The Princess Who Could Never Be Happy
In a kingdom far away, there was a princess who was never happy. You may be wondering why she was always unhappy. She is a princess, so you would think that she would have everything that she needed and wanted.
Yes, she did have everything that she ever wanted. Dresses. Shoes. Makeup. And much more. And yes, she had almost everything that a human her age would need. A cozy home. A place to sleep. A mom and dad who loved her.
There was only one thing that challenged her, and that was getting food.
No, her parents did not starve her. It was just that...the princess was a picky eater.
She was always specific when it came to her foods. They had to be soft and tender because of her sensitive teeth.
This particular day, the princess was hungry. The lights were off in her bedroom, and she was sitting in her chair and staring out the window. The sun was out, and people were enjoying the beautiful day.
Except the princess. She could not go out. She was just so hungry. She had decided that she would leave the castle after her servant brought her something to eat.
Minutes later, the servant opened the bedroom door and entered. He was tall and thin.
"Princess? Your meal is here."
The princess faced him and smiled. "Oh, good. I am starving."
Meanwhile, the princess' parents, the king and queen, were walking down the hallway. They were going to check on their daughter.
"I hope that our daughter gets married to a prince one day," the queen said.
"That is the least of our worries," the king said.
They made it to the princess' room and noticed right away that the door was already open. Worried, they poked their heads in - and screamed.
There was the princess. Hunched in a corner of her room and gnawing on the leg that was still attached to the servant.
"Not again," the queen said.
"We need to get rid of her before she goes after us and the rest of the kingdom," the king whispered to his wife.
