"What's up, I'm Joshua Bassett."

"I'm August Gomez and we're from Disney Plus' new series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series."

They had been in L.A. for a couple of days filming interviews with various different media outlets such as Entertainment Tonight, People, Entertainment Weekly, and right after they finished with the Buzzfeed, they would be making their way to Teen Vogue to film there.

They wanted to switch things up for this interview. They had Josh and August sitting together instead of him and Olivia. Most likely to keep people on their toes to figure out who was gonna be with who.

"Let's do it."

"First things first, how would your friends describe you?" August read, "Shy, ambitious, smart, caring, strong, loyal."

Josh sighed, "I'd say I'm ambitious."

"Umm..." August mumbled. Though she had done hadn't truly done her first interview (this was more for promotion of the show) she was still slightly nervous.

"I think you're caring." Josh smiled, "Pretty shy at first."

"I can't pick both." She laughed, "I'll go with caring."

"Pick a classic DCOM to watch over and over again. Smart House, Double Teamed, The Luck of the Irish, Cheetah Girls, Cadet Kelly, and Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century." Josh read, "These are some excellent choices but I gotta go with Cadet Kelly, come on."

"Smart House."

"Smart House?"

"Have you ever seen it?" She asked.

"No."

August held her mouth slightly agape, "Are you serious? I always thought the lady was Flo from Progressive."

"I don't know." August smiled, "I mean, I can dance to all of these by myself, but if I was doing it with you I'd say... Bop To The Top."

Josh laughed, "Bop To The Top is good, but Breaking Free is like, there's so much passion. If we were doing one I'd say Breaking Free."

"I grew up knowing how to play the piano and Josh taught me how to play guitar. I don't think my singing voice is up there with piano, but I think piano is best for me."

"Oh, shut up." Josh chuckled, "August doesn't sing in this season, but she's got a beautiful voice. But she's right, she is killer on the piano."

"So, we're both going piano?"

"Are there other options?" Josh joking asked, "Um, drama."

"I've always liked science and stuff and space."

"All right, pick a former Disney star to sing a duet with." Josh read, "We got Joe Jonas, Hilary Duff, Coke Sprouse, Zendaya, Demi Lovato, and Raven-Symoné. Excellent choices."

"I'm stuck." August laughed, "Demi Lovato is a great singer but so is Zendaya... and Hilary Duff."

"I gotta go with Hilary Duff, come on guys. We know this by now."

"You're obsessed with her." August laughed, "I'm gonna go with Demi Lovato."

"Lastly, in the spirit of Martha Cox, which one do you like the most? Pop, lock, jam, break." August read, "I also grew up dancing and I think the easiest one would be break."

"Who'd you get?" Josh smiled.

"Gabriella Montez."

"I can see that. I got Kelsi."

"I can see it. I think you're very similar." She smiled, "You're smart and sweet and multifaceted. You have a lot of interests and refuse to be confined to one box."

"That's true."

IT HAD been a very busy few days for the cast and it was August's first time in L.A. and nothing was going to stop Angelina from taking her out.

Angelina decided to take August to the Santa Monica Pier and Josh and Olivia tagged along.

Nightfall soon came and it had been the early hours of 3 A.M., August had awoken to a soft knock on her hotel room door and with groggy eyes saw Josh standing on the other side.

"Want to back to the pier?" He asked.

So, that's where they went. It happened to be breezy out but nothing to the two couldn't handle.

They stood barefoot in the sand and August gently kicked the sand back and forth.

"August?"

She looked up, a tired smile on her face.

"Sign you name into the sand so you can remember you first day in L.A.." Josh smiled.

"Trust me. I will never forget. But if you insist."

August soon sat in the sand Josh joined her side and watched as August signed her name into the sand.

"Wasn't as bad a what you thought, now was it?" Josh asked.

"Yeah, now the hardest part is seeing if my character is likeable enough to stay."

The cast had been told at one of their interviews that they had been picked up for a second season already and they would soon find themselves back in Salt Lake in no time.

"Trust me, they'll love you."

"Doesn't matter if they love me. It matters if they like Shiloh."

"I meant what I said." Josh smiled, "They'll love you. They'd be crazy not to."

August gave him a small smile and laced her fingers with his; soon resting her head on his shoulder.

It was only a matter of time.

i sat down and watch the buzzfeed video and took the quiz and 🤲

so that's august for ya 🤪 i did get sharpay a first but everyone but josh, larry?, matt and sofia got sharpay and 😭 no i wasn't with that
