ALMOST KISSING your costar seemed to be a recurring thing for August and Joshua.

Today was the day that they would have to film the "almost kissing" scene between Ricky and Shiloh.

August had been sitting on the set of the El Rey theater with Angelina.

Angelina had be begged Tim to let her pick out August's outfit for the scene and he only agreed because she said "Jenna's the fashionable one right?" and with that August sat with Angel with a long brown cardigan, with a short, white patterned dress, and Angel made her ditch the beat up black converse for a pair of leather platform Doc Martens.

"Stop playing with the string! You'll mess it up." Angelina said.

"Stop touching me and help me calm down."

"Why are you nervous?" She asked, "It's not like your actually kissing Josh. Besides there's no kiss until... the last episode."

That didn't matter to August. She still had to put on this waterwork show, have physical contact with Josh, and the kicker? They had a gotcha moment where they might kiss.

On the flip side?

Josh had to film the same scene with Olivia and they wouldn't know which scene would make the cut until the episode aired.

"Hey, Gus." Mabel called, "They're ready for you."

She stood up with sweaty hands and Angel followed after.

"Think about it this way." Angelina started, "I'll be right outside that door."

August nodded and they made their way towards the others.

The only people around were Josh, Olivia, Angelina, Tim, the crew, and of course, August.

Tim had went over everything with Josh and August.

Ricky and Shiloh had just fought the night before about how her club wasn't legit and that she's not too good at listening to her own advice considering that she had two pretty bad exes herself.

"Remember," Tim smiled, "none of us are here. Larry is going to come in whenever I point towards him and the scene is over."

Everyone gathered in their places and Tim soon called action.

"Heard you wanted to talk to me." August spoke as Shiloh.

"Jenna told you?" Josh asked as Ricky.

"It's very obvious that they all want
me to hear you out at least."

"Why didn't you tell them what I said
to you?"

"Because it was between you and I."
She answered, "I hate talking to them
about... certain things and I rather not
get Love Club advice from them about
it. Also because there's an end goal
here. It started with you and Nini and
that's how it ends. I want to help you.
So, we can just... forget Thanksgiving."

Josh furrowed his brows, "What is
that supposed to mean?"

"You came for Nini and you leave with
her. That's what you wanted."

"I leave with her?"

"You date, you tell her you love her,
whatever." She scoffed, "That's what you came to us for."

"Well, that's really working for me isn't
it?"

"Maybe if you didn't snap at her for
no reason, you'd be right where we,
as a club, left you. You could've asked
Nini out that night and I promise you
she would've said yes."

Ricky sighed, "I've been going
through a lot, Shiloh."

"And I told you that there were people
out there willing to listen, and when
that help came you pushed it away."

"The one person I've gone to for
everything had been ignoring me for
days even after I helped with the club
being saved. What was I supposed to
do?"

August chuckled, rolling her eyes, "Helped my club? I never asked for your help you offered it! Just like how you've offered to teach me how to skate and how to play to stupid quitar with that stupid song. I never asked; you always offered. If anything you've always asked for my help."

"Okay, I know I haven't done so hot in
my love life but neither have you."

"At least one of them has apologized!
You haven't even tried!"

"Because-"

"Because what?"

Josh sighed, "I feel like I'm losing my
chance."

August furrowed her brows. That wasn't his line. She didn't know what to do. She eyed Tim from the side who kept the cameras rolling.

"What chance?"

"Any chance I had with you." He said, "You're a great person Shiloh and I'm
sorry for everything I said and did. I
know how I feel and I know I want a
chance."

"With who?"

"With the person, I hope that's gonna
give it to me."

August stood more upright. She exhaled deeply and looked back up at Josh.

"I'm sorry." She cried, "I really don't
know why I'm crying."

She hadn't even noticed she was crying until she left teardrops falling on her face.

Yeah, she was supposed to cry but this wasn't the scene she was supposed to do it in. This scene had been something that Josh threw at her on the spot.

"Didn't I tell you were too pretty to cry."

August chuckled and wiped her cheek with the sleeve of her cardigan, "Can I have a hug?"

Josh nodded and August wasted no time wrapping her arms around him. Josh rested his chin on top of her head, closing his eyes.

Josh placed his hand on her cheek
and wiped his thumb under her eyes
to brush away any fallen tears.

He tilted her head up slightly. The
two of them staring at each other just for a moment. Ricky began to lean forward and by grace, the two of them heard arguing from outside the door.

August glanced back at it before shifting her eyes back onto Josh.

"Cut!" Tim shouted, "Woo! That was good! We might have to do a retake of that but for now let's take five."

People began patting the duo on their shoulders and soon August was left in the room alone.

She turned and saw Josh approaching her.

"Don't say a word because I'll back out."

She furrowed her brows and Josh placed his hands on her waist and kissed her.

As quick and easy as it seemed to be. They were alone, no cameras and no other people.

Just the two of them in a dimly lit set and that was all they needed.
