JOSH HAD currently been the only one to know that August's album had been finalized.

So why not throw a small surprise party for her.

He would be the only guest and he had thirty minutes to set his apartment up before she came knocking on his door.

Truly, August thought she was there to read season three scripts with him.

Josh would have this very long confession to read to August for the last episode of the season which he asked Tim for. He wanted to the scene between the two of them to mean something to Ricky and Shiloh and he'd still had been working on perfecting it.

While working on that, he had this mini party for two.

He grabbed the cake (pre bought) from the fridge and placed it on his countertop.

He glanced out his window and did a double take when he saw August walking down the sidewalk.

"Shit." He muttered.

He turned off the lights in the kitchen and every other part of his apartment. He sent a quick text to her saying the door would be unlocked whenever she came and he quickly grabbed the candles and dangerously began lighting them.

"Josh!" August called.

Josh continued to mutter profanity under his breath as her footsteps grew louder.

"I brought the scripts, but this one is Angelina's so... don't think about it too much I guess." She continued, "Josh?"

August held furrowed brows and walked further into his apartment until the kitchen came into view.

Josh running around his kitchen and placing candles in various spots before turning towards her. He let out a tried sigh and held his arms up.

"Surprise!"

"Surprise?" She questioned, walking further into the kitchen, "Surprise for?"

"Can't I give my super awesome girlfriend a super awesome surprise to celebrate her Grammy award winning album that's not out yet?"

August chuckled and sat her belongings on the countertop and made her way towards Josh.

The major difference between August and her character Shiloh was that August was ten times more handys than her. Probably because of the Disney aspect of the show. Either way, that was one of the differences.

She smiled up at him, wrapping her arms around his torso, "No you can't give me a super awesome party because my album isn't out yet and I'm sure it's not getting nominated for any Grammy's." She laughed, "But you can throw me a super awesome party because I am a super awesome girlfriend."

Josh smiled down at her, pecking her lips. He removed her arms from his torso and grabbed her hands, guiding her towards the cake.

"I even bought a cake!"

August titled her head, "Congrats on... bloom's?"

"I dropped the cake... twice, but it's a cake for you! I think that's what matters the most."

"I appreciate everything, Lover Boy." She smiled.

Josh looked over at his girlfriend. The smile from his face slowly falling as he took in her features.

"I'm sorry." He chuckled, "I should've ran back and got a new cake when I dropped it the first time and-"

"It's not the cake, Josh. I promise. It's just... I wish I played things differently."

"What are you talking about?"

This worried Josh for several reasons. One: what the hell was August going to say? Was she regretting the album? Was she regretting this whole dating thing? Two: what the hell was he going to do if she regretted the whole dating thing?

August looked up at him, the lights from the candles hitting their face, "I love this. I love everything about this. I love you. It's just... looking at how you set this up for me. I wish I would've said we were dating sooner. And as cheesy as is it, or dare I say, very Shiloh Molina of me to say, I want people to see how much you care about me. I think it would make people violently ill with how much we like each other."

Josh felt a wave of relief hit him once August had confirmed the it was the cake or him that had thrown the girl off and wanted to be the reason they broke up.

"Gus," Josh called, "I've told you several times that the choice is yours. Whenever your ready."

The only reason why August held her relationship with Josh under lock and key was because of how much media attention was already on her. Whether or not she liked the attention, she liked being with Josh and that wouldn't change.

Josh tugged her her arms, pulling her close as she wrapped her arms around him. He smiled and cupped her face with his hands.

"For now, let's celebrate this Grammy album."

August smiled, "You're weird. Wanna hear a song?"

"Seriously?"

August nodded.

And that entire night the two of them stayed cooped up in Josh's apartment. Watching movies, listening to one song off her, as he said, Grammy album.

It was nice. Being in relationship that seemed so real on and off screen. It was getting to the point in which people didn't know if Josh and August were acting.

And at this point, they weren't.
