~Linda's P.O.V~

I went in to the house upset. I waited for mum to come and ate Skeezix. It is my favorite. I really love it.

Mum came back home  some minutes later. I ran to hug her.

"Mum, welcome." I greeting.

"Darling, how was your day?" She asked.

"My day was good but -" I stopped.

"What happened, dear." She asked.

"I got disturbed by a boy." I replied giving her a cold drink.

"Really, what did he say?" She sat down.

"He said can we be 'good' friends but I didn't answer." I explained quoting the word 'good' by my fingers.

"Does he look decent?" She asked then sipped her drink.

"I think he should be, he is not like other boys. He talked with me with respect. I think he looks responsible." I said then she giggled. "That's it, you take everything funny." I groaned.

"Ok sorry, do you think you should be friends with him?" She asked.

"I need your advice mum."

"Answer my question." She ordered.

"Yes, I can be his friend" I stated "but I am afraid, mama. Hope I won't cry as a result of this."

"No, you won't. Try to be nice to him." She patted me on the shoulder and I nodded.

"Thanks momma." I said

"Have fun, girl. I'm going to my room." She went to her room.

Then I heard the door bell ring. I  went forward to see who was there. I opened the door and saw my mum's driver holding a letter.

"I was asked to give the boss this letter. Could you please give it to her." He requested.

"Sure." I stated. "From who?" I questioned.

"I don't know him but he said its from Mr. Cullen." He replied.

"Okay, give it." He gave the letter to me and then left.

I went to my mum's room and knocked.

"Come in." I walked in.

"A letter for you." I stated.

She collected it and signalled to me to go. I moved out and in back.

"Mum, can I go for a sleepover at Alisha's house tonight." I asked.

"Who is Alisha."

"She is a new friend of mine." I replied.

"I don't know her so you can't go. Bye." She stated and I left her.

She sounds angry but I guess she was just scared.

I woke up early this money. Mum already cooked for me.

"Good morning, mum." I greeted.

"Good morning, Angel. Why are you up so early." She asked.

"I don't know."

"Okay, get ready quickly. I will get you to school, alright."

"Never mind, mum. I will manage.

" You sure?" She asked.

"Yeah" I nodded.

"Alright."

I got ready for school. It was quick because I didn't use make-up. I never liked it.

I'm good the way I am.

I'm beautiful in my way.

Mum already left. I moved out of and saw Carey waiting for me.

Why is he up so early?

Is he actually waiting for me?

"Good morning." He greeted.

"Good morning." I replied.

"I wanted to go to school with you so I waited for you." He explained.

Who asked for explanation?

"Can we go now." He asked

"Yeah."

We moved for some minutes in silence. No one to break the silence.

"Can we be friends?" He asked.

This question again.

"Yes." I stated.

"Really!" He exclaimed with his eyes widely open.

Why is he happy?

"Happy?"

"Yes." He stated and suddenly a smile placed itself on my face.

Where did it come from?

"Do you like your new school?" He asked.

"Yes, I love it." I lied.

"Its a very great school."

"Yeah." I agreed.

"Tell me,  Linda, what kind of novels do you read?"

"I read any kind buy I actually love reading humor, science fiction and romance." I replied.

"Hmm romance, that means you have a romantic life. I mean you have a boyfriend." He teased in a dramatic way.

"No, I have none."

"Why, did you get no one to ask you to be his girlfriend?" He asked. "I mean you are beautiful, smart and nice."

"I can't discuss it with you." I retorted.

"Why can't you discuss it with me? We are friends, right?"

"Its personal." I answered in an angry tone.

"Its okay, don't get mad at me, please." He pleaded.

"Alright."

Thank Goodness.

We are already at school.

"Carey." Alisha shouted.

Why is she always shouting.

"Yes."  Carey answered

"Good morning." She said to me.

"Good morning." I smiled.

"Why are you with my brother?" She asked.

Carey is her brother.

"She is my friend." Carey answered before I could even utter a word.

"Yes, he is my new friend." I grinned and Carey chuckled.

"Ohh" Alisha cooed.

"What can I do for you?" Carey asked.

"Nothing, I just wanted to know why you are with my friend."

"Okay, thanks for your concern." He said sarcastically and forced a smile. Alisha went back to her friends.

They don't like each other.

I guess.

"She is my twin sister." Carey stated.

What

"You are a twin?" I asked surprisingly.

"Yeah."

"But you don't look alike." I said.

"Not all twins look alike, girl." He said and I nodded. "Let's go."

The bell rang and all the students moved to their classes.

Mathematics was the first subject of the day. Everyone found it boring but it wasn't for me because Carey was giggling and smiling at me.
