I slid into the backseat of Luke's car next to Gabby. As Jenna shut the door on her side of the car Gabby flipped the screen for the DVD player down. she pulled out the 4 wireless headphones and the movie Footloose.

She handed Jenna and I a pair of headphones then held one out to Chris "Do you want to listen?".

"Nah I'm good." He said waving her off.

"Whatever." She said sliding the 4th headset back into the small "cargo hold" , as we deemed it.

As Luke started the engine we began our movie. Luke and Chris chatted about cars and the many different types and the best engines while we watched, making comments here and there.

6 hours into the drive we had already gone through all of the movies and had resigned to books and iPhones

I set my head against the window, watching the country side whiz past as my music played softly in my ear. My eyelids began to grow heavy, and as we inched closer to our destination I drifted into sleep.

•Dream•

The winds were howling, slashing the air like an angry ghost. The ruins around me were still fresh, fire eating the remains hungrily. I looked around trying to find something, but I wasn't sure what. Until I spotted it. In the sky were two figures slashing at each other with swords and other things I couldn't see from down on the ground. I took a step forward and heard a sickening crunch from beneath my feet.

I almost threw up at the sight before me, one that hadn't been there moments before. Bodies. They were everywhere littering the streets, or what was left of them. The one I had stepped on looked to be a teenage boy. I had badly mutilated his face. "Sorry!" I whispered to him as I inched my way along.

I felt this light tickling sensation on my back the closer I got to the ongoing battle. It got stronger and stronger with every cautious step. I couldn't take it anymore, I looked over my shoulder to find a light shimmering image protruding from my back. Wings! They were faint but defiantly there.

I tried to flap them and was met by the satisfying gust of wind that rushed up to me. I took flight, surprised at how easy it was, swooping and doing loops through the dark smoke filled sky, until I remembered what was going on further above me.

Just as I reached them, a man with black wings pierced his glowing red blade through the other ones stomach. I could see the surprise on her face as her blood fell through the air. The man pulled his blade back with an evil gleam in his eye. I watched in horror as his victim fell through the sky.

I flew after her but suddenly my wings gave out and I was falling with her. I took in the features of the person next to me. It was a woman, her wings were pure white with one black feather on each. Her black hair flew around her face but I could still see that she looked exactly like me. My-er-her face was the last thing I saw before excruciating pain flooded through me and I woke up with a jolt.

Everyone else had fallen asleep leaving Luke the only one awake. "You okay?" he asked me with a worried glance through the rear view mirror.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It was just a bad dream."

Wasn't it?

Hey guys!! Please don't kill me! I'm sorry it took me so long to update! Ive just been really busy working on my other stories and school just started so I've had lots of homework to deal with. I promise I'll try to update sooner!

What no! That's silly!! *laughs nervously* I better end this fast before it turns ugly......
