Chapter 41

  Fazed to what's happening around me, I stood unable to move neither stop the salty water that brim from my eyes. With a terror everyone looks at now unconscious Kylie who ensconced herself on each arms of Noah, who held the courage much than all of us.

Suddenly my eyes again drift to Adina, who has been shocked like us, who now stood before Hayden and his gun stretched right on her temple. Aki gasp when Hayden pull the trigger attracting all the attention in the house. The sisterly love Hayden held for Kylie always amuses me, she treats him like a brother and he, he protects her and loves her as a brother. It was hard to believe that their relationship just started before 4 years, for all they seem like they had known each other for a complete lifetime.

"Hayden calm down" Aki tries, walking slowly to him.

"Don't you try.." Hayden's voice was prof for his rage and hate towards Adina, "...there is no one stopping me from killing her now, Not even Noah"

"Am not even going to try," Noah's teary red eyes look at Adina's trembling body, "I want her dead too"

"L-look" Adina stutter raising her hands and looking at everyone with a pleading gaze, "I..I didn't know Kylie would be like this, I just wanted to..."

Never in my life did I think Aki would slap Adina, Aki always liked Adina from the moment she saw her, now without another thought when no one expected it Aki run her hand harshly on Adina's face gaining a loud sound,right away the secretary that called for me came in with a wild eye at the sight in front.

Everyone shocked froze on their spot including me,the secretary who saw everything analyzed and processed the incident before she start recoiling from us. First she saw Adina's bruised face, then Ky's unconscious form, finally Hayden's gun,it looked like she saw a ghost and from the look of it, it wasn't safe for us if she walked out of here yelling.

With a fast striding legs I close the door looking at her with an icy cold glare, her tears start to mess her face, Amelia who sat next to Kylie stood bringing out her gun from her back pointing it at the secretary who looks scared as hell.

Again the silence broke into the office, everyone glued to their spot and everything falling to misery. I didn't know really that it was Adina's company who called for a meeting,and she did a wise thing by making her secretary call for me instead of head. The proud face she held when I ingress myself to her face was the most amusing look she ever had.

"You go out from here and seat silently on your chair," Amelia intone, a part of her remembers me of Kylie, "and if you speak a word if what you now see, you've gotta blame yourself for what happens next"

The secretary nods a little to urgently, maybe she wanted this place full of mysterious people looking evil or maybe she just couldn't hold her breath no more that thought made me involuntarily smirk. I think her position is tough, her boss is in the hands of what she thinks cruel people, on the other base there is her life that depends on her tongue.

"Hayden let's move" Noah demand, staring at Adina who seemed relived for a second when he say that.

"Not before I let this bitch rest in peace" Hayden's livid voice was heard again.

"I think Ky would do that when she wakes up" I speak for the first time, even though nothing made sense I kind of feel Kylie would really come back for her.

By the look Hayden gave me, he was surely mad at me for some reason to the point he didn't want me to speak. Yet he nod at me, didn't make the exit though, at least not before yanking Adina by the hair and intoning to her something I wasn't able to hear, but from Adina's paled face it was indeed some sort of threatening.

The secretary who stood watching the scene flinch when Hayden pass from her to Kylie picking her up, no one said nothing, watching as Hayden pick her bridal style coming to me with a death glare.

"I would have told you it's all your fault if you didn't already know that" he whisper before going past me with my girlfriend on his arm.

And in a way, I let him because what he said was true, it was indeed my fault. Shoving his hand in his pocket, Noah moved to Adina getting too close for her like looking at her with hatred and anger.

"Make sure I won't see you again, or else you know what am capable of doing" as Noah pushed her with his shoulder Adina wince, right when the table caught her by the wrist.

I saw Adina and our eyes met, if in a way she really loved me she can see the visible acrimony and loath that grow for her inside me. My nocent self then started to walk beside Noah who takes deep breath every now and then, following Hayden to the garage.

A couple minutes later a shout that resembled Adina's was heard right before Aki came out with an exultant face, making both me and Noah suspicious. Looking at each other we wait for Aki to reach us, wondering what she done.

"What?" Aki questioned with an innocent face,

Even through the situation we were in Noah and the others laugh, I chuckle at the really pure act Aki just made. Then later when everyone was done and the door of the elevator opens, Noah dialed a number as I take Kylie from Hayden who looked calmer than before while he bring the car to us.

Amelia on the other hand kept calling the meetings Ky had for today off, before calling to Astree to feed Liam. Aki also dialed my family to tell them the hospital Kylie would be in after asking Noah. I stare at Kylie like that was the best thing I could do right now, I stare at her long eyelashes then her lips, her calm beautiful feature engrossing me.

In a way I still didn't get to process what just happened but as everything cane playing to my mind I never in my life want Kylie to pass through what she just passed through, I didn't want to see her screaming and crying like that. The Kylie I knew never cried in front of people, she never really gave her vulnerable side to anyone and not even me, but when today I saw her real self and her demons that lues behind I just couldn't stop blaming myself.

Hayden's car riding was surely illegal,he was driving like he was in a car race and he must win, I don't really know how he still didn't get in accident. Cars from different side kept horning and yelling profanities but no one really cared, every now and then Aki would smirk widely.

We were then seated by the waiting hall of the hospital until the doctor came,Noah has gave her a call before we reached here and thus when we cane she was waiting by the door. Perhaps, the doctor knew Kylie for when she saw her, her eyes start melting to sympathy and then she saw Noah, it was like they were mind linking for at last Noah nodded while the doctor gave him a straight lined lips with a frown.

"Noah can I talk to you?" The doctor her name I knew as Dr.Miran from her tag, say her face masked with scowl.

Noah then saw us all turn by turn, his forehead knitted before he shook his head, "it's OK they are all families"

"Are you sure" it wasn't a question, it was like she was implying something.

"Yes,am sure" Noah nod.

"If you say so," Miran say, "may I please know what caused the memories? This hasn't happened for four years straight Noah"

"I know" Noah rub his face, "this wasn't meant to happen"

"Why is she even here? Wasn't she supposed to be in New York"

"She came a couple month ago" Hayden spoke, "nearly seven months ago"

"And you Hayden, what did I say about her not coming to Singapore" the doctor scold again.

"She was OK all the month," Hayden hang his head low, "she was completely fine till today"

"Was their a special cause then"

"Sort of" Noah nod

"Kylie's mental instability is Erratic, it doesn't have any obvious cause, it's Endogenous"

"What does that mean" I ask, confused as to what she was talking about.

"You must be Ashton" she say, ignoring the look I gave her, "I mean Kylie's breakdown only happens when she remembers something of her past or a dream trigger if not both then when she see's a person of her past which is typically impossible thanks to Mrs. Rob, speaking about dreams is Kylie taking her medicine regularly Noah?"

"I-I...I don't really know" Noah's voice falter, a guilty face engulf him, "she was all fine and..and"

"You know Kylie has been hiding her disease for almost four years, she is competent of holding herself till everything crumbles and not taking her medicine is an incontrovertible prof of what happened today. It is so inconsiderate of you two Noah and Ashton not to make sure of this simple thing"

God, what kind of boyfriend am I? I didn't even know she had a medicine let alone to make her take it regularly! Maybe if I wasn't reckless, maybe if I was a little responsible then nothing would have happened, Kylie would have been fine. Damn, I am so sorry Kylie!

"I am not saying this to make you feel guilty even though you are, but rather what happened has happened and there is still room for her cure and you guys to protect her. I've been her doctor for 8 years minimum and never did Kylie come to me unconscious except for those days and today. She us conscious now, so if you might want to check her out the room is free"
