                 Like a lion

Surprised.

Surprised I was couple years ago, when I heared Kylie Rob left Singapore. She inflicted the incorrigible suffering on my 18 years old version.

Staggered.

Surprised, I am now when Aki tells me that Kylie Rob is back to Singapore for living in Rob's Residence forever.

"What?!" I ask again, incredulously.

  "Yeah" she shrug "it's her home where she grew up, so she's back willingly"

"The ironic, she's back to the place she left willingly"

I scoff, I couldn't help myself, not when she was playing her plays. I couldn't even concentrate on my work while she's here and now that she's living her, am afraid of what she might throw as an impact on me.

"It's her right to go and come whenever she wants, and you have no right to give me the look you are giving me right now" she point at me, turning from her standing position of the photos she clicked this morning.

I see her and blink once, twice then I gave her the suspicious look.

"And, what is it that your brain thinking to give me the look of proofing am a thief?"

"You still are standing by her side, aren't you?"

She stay silent for a couple of minutes before eyeing me with sympathy. I know the look she's giving me now, and I really don't like what's coming.

"It wasn't her fault, Julian was the one who craved for her..." She smile taking her seat beside me "...besides I never hated her for that, maybe I might have thought that she ran away with him, but when I knew she did not do that, let's just say I hated myself for hating her."

"It's a different story now, isn't it?!" I stand to take my cue on leaving.

"Look, Ash, I know you still have those feeling lingering around that stone head heart of yours.." She start pausing me from my way to the door, "she also have it till now and it's obvious. Why don't you try making things out, besides you are only playing with Adina's feeling and wasting her time."

The last part were true, I was wasting Adina's time but the others were bullshits I didn't want to admit. I gave her a side look before waving and making my way out of the house.

I have a meeting around 3 and now it's 1 yet, so I needed to work a little or do anything for I don't want to think about what Aki said. By the door Mom came running and called out for me.

"What's the run for?" I smile at her,

Returning the smile she gave me a bracelet, girlish yet elegant type of bracelet. For a second I thought she was going to send this to Adina, but after she start speaking my heart begun to speak loudly.

"Ky forgot this last night, and I'm sure I heared her saying how she loved it and was very important to her.." She smile again looking at me with puppy eyes, "...no one knows her old house like you do, could you pleeeease drop this by her?"

I know my mom is rooting for us, I needed to say no but not to mom. Maybe I could send another person, or just send it with her mailbox...

No

"Sure" I cracked a smile "I'll drop it by my way"

"Thank you, thank you, thank you.." My mom was always exaggerater -if that's even a word- she liked to do over drama "...and tell her I would like to meet her soon, would you"

I nod taking the small bracelet and take a look of it before giving Mom small hug and leaving.

I drove the way I drove last night with a speed that could get me punished but I didn't care, maybe I wanted that to not meet her, or maybe I wasn't ready to get late for the meeting.

Or maybe, just maybe I wanted to see her...

And couple of minutes I was standing my the main gate, I wasn't sure if she would be home by now. She was a strict business lady and it would be relief not meeting her.

The gate goes wide open after the camera gives me a death glare. I am sure it was Astree who opened me the door without even asking who I was or what u want. I take the long road to the main house before parking my car and getting off taking the bracelet with me.

As I got into the familiar house, the old memories came rushing to me. I see every corner of the big mansion remembering my time here.

"Long time no see," the calm, welcoming and smooth voice of Astree paused me for a bit. "Ashton, you're all grown up"

"And you're all the same old cranky women with the same wooden spoon in hand" I chuckle.

"We've got a baby now, I am sure he needs it..."

Confused, I look at her wondering who she was talking about. She shook her head smiling before she continue

"..anyway am sure you're here for Kylie, I'll go call for her" she say and before I could speak she's off.

"Bu-" and she's off.

I look around the mansion, and I see unfamiliar things and get confused more. A room is filled with toy cars and robots. Then after, the kitchen has a little cups for a kid and everything seems like there is a baby boy here.

"Why are you here" the small statement, and small word had effect on me and this was a harsh bomb thrown.

"Hello to you too" I turn to see he giving her my best practiced smile.

She roll her eyes and cross her arm on her chest.

"I am here to give this thing of yours back" I shake the bracelet at her excessively wanting to leave."and now that I did, I am taking my leave"

The exact words she gave me last time had an effect on her. Shrugging everything off she took the bracelet and look at it. I was about to move when a little boys  voice stopped me in my truck.

"Mum" it was soft and child like, I didn't get to see him or any part of him but his voice sent shivers down my spine.

"Mom" it was a deep voice this time, anger boiled of me, jealousy erupting. It sure wasn't Levan from the sound. Confused I saw at the shocked look of Kylie.

She looks like she saw a ghost when out of nowhere in particular came a familiar face and a familiar looking face.
