Chapter 17: Wrath vs. Pride
Y/N
The three proxies already told me that they liked me, but I didn't answer them yet because I wasn't ready. I don't want to find love in a crisis like this, especially when there's been attacks here and there. I want to help around since I feel like this is happening because of me... My mother was already captured and held captive downstairs in the basement where Slenderman would visit along with some scary-looking killers, Missing told me she was being tortured since she wouldn't tell us anything.
I sat in the living room, as I watching the news on the TV. I was alone, and it seemed like everyone was out to thirst for blood. Only a few stayed behind, I glanced at the wooden door full of scratches that leads to the basement. The more I look at it, I feel like it was calling me... I looked around, no one was here.
I quietly rise from the couch and walked to the basement door, opening it; as the cold breeze below welcomed me. I gulped, I shouldn't be interfering...
I looked back, before entering the dark basement; the source of light only came from a lightbulb below. I wasn't scared, it gave me the chills. Blood that was dried was spattered across the room, hinting there were many that died or was tortured here before my mom.
"M-Mom?" I called out, my voice echoing back to me. I heard a growl, it must be her. I gasped when I saw what state my mother was in, I took a step back; making the wooden stairs creak. That grabbed my mother's attention.
Her eyes were different, she became animalistic. Her flowing dress no more, and her limbs were slowly growing back. But when she saw me, she smiled sweetly.
"(Y/N)! I thought you were never coming back!" My mother exclaimed, hopelessly. "Slenderman and those freaks he has are treating me badly..."
"I know—"
"Are you here to free me?! Come on, do it fast! We don't have much time!" She demanded, I shook my head as she was stunned. "You dare to disobey me?!"
"No, you've caused this destruction. I can't free you." I replied, looking down. "I can't trust you anymore too..."
"You fucking bitch!" She cursed, her eyes turning pure red blood; glowing as her claws grew again and stabbed me from behind without a warning as I feel my consciousness fading away.
"If you can't do it, then I will!"
[ third person ]
The Red Woman took ahold of her daughter's mind, controlling to free her from captive. (Y/N), tranced; tried breaking her mother's chain. While her deep, back wound bled. "The door's open!" Slenderman yelled from above, The Red Woman heard frantic footsteps coming down.
(Y/N) found an axe, that probably belonged to Toby's and used it to break her mother's chain. Two or three hits, it wasn't enough. Slenderman caught them.
"(Y/N)?" He said, he saw The Red Woman's grey limb digging her back. Slenderman pulled it out of her, bringing back the poor girl back to her senses. She sat up, but coughed blood afterwards as she asks for help. Nurse Ann and Doctor Smiley catered to her, as they left. The last thing (Y/N) ever saw on her was that menacing smile.
[ (y/n)'s pov ]
I slowly wake up, blinded by a flash of light that was illuminated on my body as two figures worked on me. "(Y/N), rest now; my dear." Nurse Ann said, as she covered my eyes.
I wake up again, only to find out the operation was done and Doctor Smiley working on things on his desk. I look at my chest and see it was bandaged layer by layer, I moved; only to feel pain.
"You're not well yet," the doctor said. "Don't move." He forces me to lay down as he resumed working. "What happened?" I asked, my voice was still soft and quiet.
"The Red Woman took control of your mind, she wounded you badly with a deep open cut from behind." Doctor Smiley explained, oh; that's why. "Luckily, you didn't die from blood loss or things would've been different."
Dad entered the room, even though he's expressionless. I can sense he's angry with what happened. "D-Dad, what a surprise." I said, sitting up. "Lay down." He commanded, his voice harsh.
"Oh right, sorry."
"(Y/N), didn't your uncle remind you not to go to the basement?" Dad asked, clearly disappointed and worried about me. "Yeah, I know. I wanted to see mom, I didn't know things would go in that direction." I replied, embarrassed.
"'Never trust The Red Woman' is what they constantly say here, she has a lot of tricks up her sleeve. That's why I left her, she's not normal anymore— she's far from insane— your mother's a psychopath." He lectured, as I was close to tears. "I'm just worried, if Slenderman and his little proxies didn't save you. She would have escaped and caused distress again."
"I'm sorry, okay?! I wanted to see mom! You two disappeared years ago, you should've accepted me!" I yelled, as tears fell from my eyes. "You left me to live a 'normal' life!"
"You can't survive the circumstances here in the forest as an infant, and it's for the best. You even wound up with rich, loving parents. Be thankful you didn't become a monster so early."
I stood up and stomped out of the room, I regret everything. I walked downstairs, the basement door was now padlocked and chained. I sighed and ran out of the mansion, crying as I screamed for relief.
Once the mansion was out of my sight, I panted for air and held my lower back. It hurt a lot, I hissed as I felt blood seeping out through the bandages; soaking them red.
I stumbled on the ground and leaned against a tree, sobbing as I slid down to my knees. "Someone help..." I mutter, my vision was getting blurry as I blacked out.
"(Y/N)?"
