The Date: Part 1-The Hellfire Club (Hazbin Hotel-Part 10)

"Do we have to do this?" James asks Alastor as they stand in front of each other at the Happy Hotel.

"Of course!" Alastor tells James. "After all, you did agree to it."

"I was half drunk!" the human states.

"Still agreed to it!" Alastor says, making James grumble.

Vaggie and Charlie are walking together and talking about Vaggie's date with James when they come across Alastor and James talking to each other.

"Uh, what's going on here?" Vaggie asks.

"I'm discussing our friend's coming date!" the Radio Demon tells the Moth Demon and princess.

"Date?" Vaggie questions, somewhat happy to hear that James is going on a date which is hopefully her.

"Yeah, but it's a blind date so I don't know who it is," James says, crossing his arms and glaring at Alastor. "And this guy is trying to force me into wearing a suit!"

"Because your date would be wearing a dress!" Alastor informs. "It would be rude to have only them look formal and you look like... this."

"The hell you mean like this?!" James asks angrily. "I look GREAT, thank you very much!"

"James, both of you are right," Charlie says. "You look perfectly fine the way you are, James, but if your date is wearing something formal then you should too."

"I-" James starts to say but realizes his little sister figure has a point. "Fine. If you think it's best then I'll do it."

"Yay!" Charlie says happily as Vaggie smiles as well.

"Splendid!" Alastor says. "Now, let us head out! I have the perfect place for you to find a suit!"

"Wait a sec, Al. I gotta--WOAH!" James starts to say only to be cutoff by Alastor dragging him out of the hotel.

"Follow me! I know exactly where to go!" the Radio Demon says, dragging the human with him as he walked.

"I would if you'd let go of me!" James tells Alastor.

Charlie and Vaggie watch as the two men walk off to wherever Alastor was dragging James to. Then Charlie looked over at Vaggie with a smirk and said Moth Demon looks over at her friend with a raised brow.

"What?" Vaggie asks her friend.

"You heard Al!" Charlie says, pushing Vaggie to her room for a makeover. "Time for you to pick your dress!"

"What?! No!" Vaggie says. "I'm not wearing a dress!"

"You're gonna wear a dress and you're going to LIKE IT!" Charlie tells her friend, struggling to get her to her room.

"NOOOOOO!"

[With James and Deer Boi]

James and Alastor are seen walking in Pentagram City and James is looking bored with his hands in his pockets while Alastor has his usual smile.

"Where are we going?" James asks Alastor. "And how much longer 'til we get there?"

"Have patience, Rider!" the Radio Demon tells the Spirit of Vengeance. "We're almost there~"

"Unless you didn't know, patience isn't a trait of the Ghost Rider," James tells Alastor with agitation and Alastor just looks at the human. "Er, sorry. I'm just really nervous, y'know? This is my first actual date, like, ever."

"It's fine James!" Alastor tells the man. "I completely understand! Ooh! We've arrived!"

James looks forward to see a pink, red, black, and white colored store with a sign that says "ROSIE AND FRANKLIN'S EMPORIUM" with "FRANKLIN" crossed out and "ROSIE" having an "'s" at the end of it.

James raises his brow and looks at Alastor who still has his ever present smile.

"What's this place?" he asks the red demon.

"It belongs to a friend of mine whose also an Overlord like me!" Alastor states. "And don't worry about prices. We're close friends so I get everything free along with those I bring with me!"

"Huh. Guess being an Overlord has its perks," James says, impressed.

"Now come along! We have a suit to dress you in!" Alastor says, dragging James to the store.

The two burst through the doors and Alastor speaks.

"Rosie! I'm here!" the Radio Demon declares. "And I've brought a friend!"

"Alastor, old friend!" a female voice says from the side. "It's great to see you again!"

James turns to see a slender demon with pale white skin, sharp white teeth and a really long neck. Her eyes are large and are pure black, no pupil or iris showing at all. She has short hair tied up under her hat and is smiling in a similar manner to Alastor. She wore a red dress with gray shoulder pads, a black belt, and black wrists. She has a  red sun hat that has two skulls and three black flowers on the front side with a large red and black plume on the top side. This was the owner of the shop, an Overlord, and Alastor's friend, Rosie.

"You too, Rosie!" Alastor says and the tow hug. It soon ends and Alastor goes to introduce Rosie to James. "Rosie, dear, this is James Ryder! A good friend of mine, a member of the Happy Hotel, and the-"

"The Ghost Rider," the pale demoness says, finishing Alastor's sentence. "I've heard. It's an utter PLEASURE to meet Hell's Bounty Hunter!"

"Heh. Al said the same thing," James says, smiling with embarrassment as he rubs the back of his neck. "It's nice to meet you, Miss Rosie."

James brought his hand out for a handshake and Rosie took it.

"Such manners! Not many down here have them," Rosie said, soon letting go of James' hand.

"Thanks," James says with a smile. "My parents always did say I had a thing for manners."

"Well it's a nice thing to have," Rosie states and turns to Alastor. "So, why have you come? Of course, I don't mind the company but you also brought a friend. So what is it you need?"

"James, here, is going on a date and needs a suit!" Alastor tells the female Overlord.

"Oh?" Rosie questions. "Then need no fear! I will happily help with that!"

She then snapped her fingers and suddenly a small group of demons with frothing mouths and dark skin as well as blank white eyes surrounded the human man, taking measurement and taking notes as well.

James didn't really like people he doesn't know being up so close to him and it made him uncomfortable, especially with the hungry looks they were giving the Rider. One look in their souls and James could easily see that they eat other people like cannibals.

Soon they started to push James to a changing room and push him in. After that, the cannibal demons go through the shop and pick out some clothing pieces and go back to James, tossing the clothing into the changing room. James begrudgingly puts the clothing on but he doesn't exit.

"James! Come on out!" Alastor tells his friend.

"No!" screams James. "Last time I was in a suit it was an utter train wreck! I am NOT coming out!"

"C'mon, deary," Rosie says to James. "I bet you look smashing!"

"N-no!" James stutters, blushing behind the curtains.

"James, if you don't come out I will drag you out myself," Alastor tells the human.

After a few moments of some grumbling from James, a "Fine." is heard from him and the curtains open to reveal James in his new suit. He wore a white collared button-up undershirt, a dark grey button-up vest, a black tie, a black over-jacket with a blue handkerchief in its chest pocket, black dress pants, and black and grey dress shoes. All in all? He looked quite charming.

"How do I look?" the human asks, his face slightly red.

"Absolutely astonishing," Rosie says.

"Like you're about to "slay" someone tonight!" Alastor tells James, wrapping his arm around the human's neck which resulted in James getting out of the Radio Demon's grasp and shoulder punching him.

"Shut up," James tells the demon and he only chuckles.

"Well, you should get going now!" Alastor tells James. "You're date is in an hour and a half!"

"What?!" James shouts. "Why didn't you tell me?!"

"I just did!" Alastor says.

"Ragh!" James says. "Nevermind! I have a date to get to. It was nice to meet you, Miss Rosie."

"You too, Mr. Ryder," Rosie says to James.

"Bye!" the human says and rushes out of the store.

He runs out of the doors and brings two fingers to his mouth, whistling. After that, a loud roar of an engine is heard and a Panhead Chopper drives in front of James, parking itself.

James smiles and hops on to his bike, revving the engines and driving off to where the date was.

~(--)~

James is seen pulling up to a building of sorts called "THE HELLFIRE CLUB". He parks his motorcycle and hops off. He dusts himself off and makes sure his clothes are as nice as they can be. After that, he walks up to the front door and at the check-in.

"Name?" a tall demon in a suit and shades says.

"Er, James Ryder?" James says.

"Hmmm... yes, I see you on the list," the man says and opens the door for him. "Go on in. One of our waiters will guide you to your table. Your plus one is already here."

Already? James questions mentally. Man, I'm either late, on time, or she's just early. Oh well. Might as well just meet the girl.

James nods his head at the doorman and walks into the Hellfire Club, meeting a waiter inside.

"Hello," the demon greets. "You must be Mr. Ryder. Please, follow me."

"Will do," James says and follows the male demon.

The waiter leads James through the club and through the crowd of partying demons who some of them tried to get James to dance with him which he either declined easily or had to burn them to stop them. Soon, though, the waiter brings James to a table father from the crowd where it's more quiet. There, James sees...

"Vagatha?"

Said Moth Demon turns her head to James and blushes with a small smile.

"H-hi, James," she greets the human.

James was absolutely astonished by how Vaggie looked. SHE was James' date?

The Moth Demon had her hair down with her bow still in her hair though and had some light makeup on her face, mostly just lipstick and some eyeshadow. She wore a long, purple that seemed to have multiple "layers" and flower designs along with white, fingerless gloves that go slightly pass her elbows.

The waiter then seats the still wordless James and leaves two food menus before walking away. After a moment of awkward silence, Vaggie speaks.

"So, uh... how are you?"

James seems to snap out of his trance and shakes his head.

"I'm f-fine," the human says, blushing. "J-just a bit sh-shocked that you're h-here."

"Yeah," Vaggie says. "I'm still a bit surprised that I even agreed to this."

"... did you know think this was a blind date too, or did you help with their little plan?" James asks Vaggie.

"Um, I actually was forced into this a bit," Vaggie says. "They convinced me to go on a date with you saying that you wanted to go on one with me."

"Haha!" James laughs. "They convinced me to go on a blind date. I'm actually kind of glad that the date is you."

"What's that supposed to mean?" the Moth Demon asks.

James only looked at Vaggie with a deadpan look and she blushes.

"O-oh, right," Vaggie says. "Silly me."

James only smiles as he shakes his head in amusement.

"How about we get something to eat, kay?" James says, picking up and opening his menu.

"Sure," Vaggie says and grabs her own menu, opening it up.

Soon, James has ordered some barbeque ribs with mashed potatoes and corn with some wine to top it off as a drink. Vaggie ordered herself some rice with steak pieces mixed in with it along with some vegetables with some bread and wine as well. Their waiter took their orders and brought them to the kitchen to be made. As they wait for their food they talk about some things such as their past lives, James more than Vaggie since the Moth Demon doesn't like to talk about her past life much since it brings her so much pain and anger.

"And then, he tripped over his own feet! Haha!" James laughs, talking about one of his school bullies at Homecoming. "He was so embarrassed that he didn't come to school for a week! And even after that he stopped messing with me! Hahaha!"

"That's hilarious!" Vaggie said, laughing along with her date.

James was smiling at the fact that he's gotten through more of Vaggie's shell. He was glad they've gotten closer, even if it was only from a few minutes.

"Hey, Vagatha?" James says.

"Yeah?" Vaggie responds.

"Can I hear a bit about your life?" the human asks the demoness. "I would love to hear it."

"R-really?" Vaggie questions. "I mean, I can tell you but it probably won't be as interesting as your life."

"C'mon! I won't laugh!" James says and places his hand on Vaggie's. "I promise I won't judge you for it."

Vaggie looks at her and James' hands together and blushes and then looks back to see James giving her a reassuring smile. She smiles back and takes a deep breathe.

"I was born in about 1999 or so, and my family has just moved to America for a better life," Vaggie starts to tell James. "My life was a bit normal such as having some friends here and there, being bullied for my poor money status, and some birthdays as well. Then, at 15, I met him."

James could instantly tell that whoever he was was someone Vaggie really hated just from the tone she used to say him.

"Who was "him"?" the human asks the Moth Demon.

After a heavy breathe, she continues to speak.

"His name was Robbie," Vaggie informs. "We met in middle school. We became friends and then... we became a couple. I loved him, and he loved me. Or, at least, that's what I thought."

"What did he do?" James asks his date, clearly already not liking whoever "Robbie" was.

"We we're on a date, and he wanted me to meet some of his friends from his old school and I said, "I'd love to."," Vaggie stated. "I truly wanted to meet his friends since I thought it would nice. And we did, but it didn't go how I thought it would."

"What happene-" James starts to say, but cuts himself off when he starts to realize what Vaggie ment. He remembered how he first met Vaggie in Korea and how he saved her from that horrid place. "He didn't..."

"He did. THEY did," Vaggie states. "I met his friends all right, and they all took me away. I thought I could trust Robbie, but he and his "friends" just sold me to be a sex slave. For five damn years I was there... but then you came. You helped me and all those other girls escape from that Hellhole."

"It was no problem, Vagatha," James says. "I was glad and more than happy to help. Especially with killing those damn guilty sinners."

"Yeah..." Vaggie says. "You know, ever since I found out who you are, I don't think I ever told you thanks for helping me. So... thank you."

Vaggie then holds James' hand the human does the same, slightly squeezing it. The two smile at each other and then some music comes on. James smiles.

"Sooooo, do you wanna dance while we wait for our food?" the human asks. "It'll defiantly work up an appetite. Heh heh."

"You know what? Sure," Vaggie says. "I'd love to."

James smiles even wider than before and Vaggie swears to herself that if she never met James before and met him at the same time as Charlie, she would've mistaken them as siblings.

They then left their table and made their way to the dancefloor. James places his hand on Vaggie's hip and holds her hand while Vaggie held his hand as well and held on to James' shoulder. They then started to dance along with the other demons that danced with them. They moved and swayed around as James spun Vaggie around every so often. He originally thought that since it's been so long that he's danced that he'd be rusty but he isn't, so he was glad he wasn't doing terrible and stepping on Vaggie's feet.

But what was really happening was that I, Zarathos, was helping James remember how to dance as well as giving him the dancing skill of the past Ghost Riders! HAH!

Author: Zarathos! How the hell did you get the authority to narrate?!

Because I'm the Spirit if Vengeance?

Author: Terrible excuse but whatever. Let's just get back to the story.

James and Vaggie were having the time of their lives, having such fun as they dance together. Then, James spun Vaggie one last time and Vaggie spun back to James, only for her to come right in front of James with their chests up against each other. Then their eyes connect and time seems to slow as their eyes seem to shine. Their faces were close to each other, or as close as you can get when one person is 5" 11' and the other is 6" 3'.

They start to close the gap between them, their eyes slowly closing as their lips grow ever closer... and closer... and closer... until...

"Ah, young love," a male voice says from behind the two. "Isn't it a wonderful thing?"

James widens his eyes in shock, stopping whatever was about to happen and turns to see one of the people he doesn't want to see at all.

"Hello, Blackheart," James greets the demon with venom in his voice as he glares at him.

"Been a long time, hasn't it little brother?"
