Battle At The Airport (Civil War-Part 2)

[No One's POV]

On the sixth level of a parking lot in Europe, a battered and beat up car drives in and parks next to a grey van. The doors open to reveal a man stepping out. He walks up to another man who had a bow and arrow and was leaning next to the grey van.

"Cap," the archer greets.

"You know I wouldn't have called If I had any other choice, Clint," Cap tells the newly dubbed Clint.

"Hey man, you're doing me a favor," Clint tells Cap. "Besides, I owe a debt."

Cap then turns to see a redheaded girl in a red jacket walking up to him and smiles.

"Glad you have my back, Wanda," Cap tells the newly dubbed Wanda.

"It was time to get off my ass," Wanda says with a smile as well.

"How about our other recruit?" Cap asks Clint.

"He's rarin' to go," the retired Avenger states. "Had to put a little coffee in him, but... he should be good."

The doors to the grey van then slides open to show an American white male and he unsteadily walks out as he holds his hand in front of his face so his eyes wouldn't burn out from the sun.

"What timezone is this?" the man, known as Scott Lang, asks as he walks up to the group of rogues.

He then sees Captain America and has a look of awe on his face.

"Come on," Clint orders Scott, motioning him to join the small group. "Come on."

This snaps Scott from his daze and walks up to Cap.

"Captain America," Scott greets the Avenger, shaking his hand.

"Mr. Scott," Cap greets back, shaking Scott's hand as well.

"It's an honor. I'm shaking your hand too long," Scott says and lets go of Cap's hand. "Wow! This is awesome! Captain America."

He then turns to Wanda and greets her too.

"I know you, too," the recruit tells the redhead. "You're great!"

This earns a smile from Wanda and Scott turns back to Cap as he feels his shoulders.

"Jeez. Ah, look, I wanna say, I know you know a lot of super people, so... thanks for thinking of me," Scott says as he then turns to see the African American male among them, called Sam Wilson. "Hey, man!"

"What's up, Tic Tac?" Sam greets Scott.

"Uh, good to see you," Scott says. "Look, what happened last time when I..."

"It was a great audition, but it'll... it'll never happen again," Sam tells Scott, referring to when they first met when Scott broke into an Avengers base.

"They tell you what we're up against?" Cap asks Scott.

"Something about... psycho-assassins?" Scott says, trying to remember his briefing of the mission.

"We're outside the law on this one," Cap warns Scott. "So, if you come with us, you're a wanted man."

"Eh, what else is new?" Scott jokes as he chuckles at his own joke.

"We should get moving," a man with long black hair and a metal arm, Bucky Barnes, tells Cap as he walks up to the group.

"We got a chopper lined up," Clint tells the Super Soldier.

The man nods and they start to walk off, but stop when the intercoms flare to life and a voice comes from it.

"Dies ist eine Notsituation," the voice says. "Alle Passagiere müssen den Flughafen sofort evakuieren."

[Translation: This is an emergency. All passengers must evacuate the airport immediately.]

"They're evacuating the airport," Bucky informs.

"Stark," Cap says in distaste.

"Stark?" Scott questions, hoping to not fight the famous Iron Man.

"Suit up," Cap tells his team and they listen.

Later, Cap is seen in his hero suit walking through the outside of the airport but goes to a quick jog as he nears the helicopter Clint told him of. He soon gets to it, but before he can get close a flaming skeleton hand grabs his arm. This causes Captain America to stop and look behind him to see a flaming skeleton wearing a leather jacket that was unzipped to where he can see its ribcage, denim jeans, leather boots, and hooked chains around its body. Cap's eyes widen in shock before the skeleton tosses the Super Soldier away from the chopper like a basically weightless rag doll. Cap skids across the ground but quickly gets to his feet to see Iron Man and War Machine descending from the sky.

"Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport," Iron Man said and turned to War Machine. "Don't you think that's weird?"

"Definitely weird," the black and silver armoured man says.

Iron Man then looks down to the approaching the two as they grow closer to the ground.

"Hey! Matchstick!" he says, calling to the skeleton. "Weird, right?"

"Sure," the boney beats says in a raspy voice, sounding almost demonic.

Iron Man and War Machine finally land on the ground and the undead biker stops next to them.

"Hear me out, Tony," Cap says to Tony. "That doctor, the psychiatrist, he's behind all of this."

Then a man cladded in a black panther suit leaps over a truck and lands next to Iron Man.

"Captain," he greets the soldier.

"Your highness," Cap greets back to the panther.

"Anyway, Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you in," Tony states. "That was 24 hours ago. Can you help a brother out?"

"You're after the wrong guy," Cap informs.

"Really now?" the skeleton asks. "From what I've been told and from what I can see, your friend killed a lot if innocents yesterday. And I can just HEAR those souls screaming for vengeance."

"And there are five more super soldiers just like him that'll do much worse if we let the doctor gets his hands on them," Cap says and turns to Stark. "I can't let the doctor find them first, Tony. I can't."

"Steve... you know what's about to happen," a redheaded lady in a black skin tight suit says as she makes her presence known. "Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?"

"All right, I've run out of patience," Tony says as he cups his mouth with his hands. "UNDEROOS!"

At that, a web strikes Cap's shield and yanks it away from him. It arrives in the hands of a young male wearing a red and blue spider-themed suit as he lands on a cargo container while he binds Cap's hands with the same webbing.

"Nice job, kid," Tony says, praising the kid.

"Thanks. Well, I could've stuck the landing a little better," the kid says. "It's just the new suit... Well, it's nothing, Mr. Stark. It's--it's perfect. Thank you."

"Yeah, we don't really need to start a conversation," Tony tells the boy.

"Okay," the spider-themed hero says and turns to the Super Soldier. "Cap... Captain. Big fan, I'm Spider-Ma- AAAAAAH! HOLY SHIT! IS THAT A FLAMING SKELETON?!"

The boy screams as he seems to have finally taken noticed of said creature.

"Nice to meet ya, Web-Head," the skeleton tells the Spider-Man. "Call me Ghost Rider for now. Can't wait to see what you can do."

"Holy crap that is so cool," the Web-Head says as he gazes at the Rider.

"Yeah, we'll talk about this later," Tony tells the kid.

"You've been busy," Steve tells Tony.

"And you've been a complete idiot. Dragging in Clint. 'Rescuing' Wanda from a place she doesn't even want to leave, a safe place," Tony tells Steve. "I'm trying to keep... I'm trying to keep you from tearing the Avengers apart."

"And you did that when you signed," Steve declares.

"Alright, We're done. You're gonna turn Barnes over, you're gonna come with us. NOW!" Tony orders the Super Soldier. "Because it's us! Or a squad of J-SOC guys... with no compunction about being impolite. Come on."

Sam then speaks into Steve's coms.

"We found it," the Falcon informs. "Their Quinjet's in hanger five, north runway."

Steve smirks and raises his webbed hands into the air and Clint fires an arrow at the, cutting Captain America free from the make-shift bonds.

"Alright, Lang," Steve says into his earpiece.

The Rider instantly knows what's about to happen and turns to Spider-Man to warn him, but it's too late. Scott Lang, in his Ant Man suit, grows in size and take the shield back from Spider-Man.

"Whoa. What--what the hell was that?" War Machine asks, completely confused since he's never seen size alteration technology.

Scott then quickly makes it to Steve's side and hands him his shield.

"I believe this is yours, Captain America," Ant Man says as Cap takes his shield.

"Oh, great. Alright, there's two on the parking deck. One of them's Maximoff, I'm gonna grab her," Tony says in frustration. "Rhodey, you want to take Cap?"

"Got two in the terminal, Wilson and Barnes," Rhodey tells his teammates.

"Barnes is mine!" Black Panther exclaims, wanting vengeance for his father's death.

"I'll help," the Brimstone Biker tells the king of Wakanda. "I can barely hold myself back right now, so I don't care if you don't want me to help. I'm doing it."

The Black Panther nods and runs off to face Barnes, the Rider right behind him.

"Hey, Mr. Stark, what should I do?" Spider-Man asks Iron Man.

"Like we discussed!" the Avenger states. "Keep your distance! Web 'em up!"

"Okay, copy that!" the Web-Head says and webs away.

The Ghost Rider and Black Panther run to where Bucky Barnes was, but a certain striped hero stands in their way.

"Move, Captain," the Wakandan orders the Super Soldier. "I won't ask a second time."

"Fuck that shit," the Brimstone Rider says in annoyance. "I don't do asking."

The flaming skeleton unwraps the chains from his body and sets them aflame with his Hellfire, making Cap hesitate to fight the boney beast but doesn't stand down.

"You're choice," Black Panther says as he readies himself to fight Steve Rogers.

[James'/The Ghost Rider's POV]

T'Challa gets into a fighting position and so does Captain America. I swing my chains around a few times before using them as a whip against Cap, trying my best to hit the ex-Avenger but he blocks it with his shield. It only gets his shield marked with scorch marks and makes Steve stumble back. T'Challa then rushes at the Super Soldier and leaps at him, then twisting in mid-air as he delivers a multitude of kicks to Steve to only have them blocked by his vibranium shield. The kicks do have some effect and send Captain America away a feet feet. I then throw my chains at Rogers and wrap them around his body, constricting him from movement. I then pull him to me and follow with a swift roundhouse kick to his head, sending him to the side.

I suddenly hear the roar of an engine and look to see James Rhodey approaching Rogers who was recovering from my sudden attack and getting to his feet.

"Sorry, Cap," War Machine says, pulling an energized mace from his back. "This won't kill you but it ain't gonna tickle either."

Captain sees that Rhodey is about to hit him with the mace and brings his shield up to block it, making a loud clanging noise. I then toss my chain and it wraps around Rogers' arm. I pull at the chains and his body turns as well, letting the iron clad soldier hit Rogers in the face with his mace. Captain America gets sent flying but I pull him to me and slam him into the ground. I get right in his face and scream demonically. He reels his face back and then headbutts me in the skull, making me lose concentration and Rogers kicks me off. I roll across the ground but quickly recover, watching as Steve gets back to his feet.  War Machine then starts firing at Steve from the air and Steve raises his shield to defend himself. T'Challa then starts to fight Rogers again and I join by tossing balls of Hellfire at the Super Soldier, doing my best not to hit the panther suit wearing Wakandan in the process. Steve then throws his shield at me and it hits me, ricocheting back to the Super Soldier who hits Black Panther in the face with his shield and he falls back a bit. Steve then throws his shield at Rhodey who falls from the air and crashes to the ground. I run to him and help him onto his feet.

"Thanks," he says to me.

"No prob," I tell Rhodey.

He then looks at his now broken mace and groans.

"Great," Rhodes says in anger and throws the broken item away.

The size alterer then runs up to Rogers and offers him what looked like a small toy truck. Steve takes it and throws it at me and Rhodes. Then the Ant Man throws what seemed to be a small disk at the toy car and it hits it.

"Oh shit!" I say in surprise as the small toy car becomes not so small and toy-like.

It hits the ground and explodes, engulfing me and Rhodes in the explosion. This causes me to growl and open my jaw, and I start inhaling the explosion. It gets sucked into my body and my insides glow a lot brighter and more violent then usual.

"Oh no," Ant Man says and I open my jaws back up.

This then expels the explosion I inhaled from my bony mouth and all the heat and fire from it spews from my insides. Once I'm done I wipe my jaw and look at Rhodes who's looking at me.

"What?" I question.

Rhodes just shakes his head and flies off to look for Rogers and Ant Man. I follow on foot, already knowing where they're heading: the hanger where the Quinjet was located. I run at incredible speeds and see that all of Captain America's team is together and running to the hanger. Then a yellow energy beam appears suddenly and cuts a tower in half, getting the attention of our enemies as it falls and crashes to the ground. I look up to see a red skinned man descending from the sky.

"Captain Rogers!" the guy I know as Vision calls out. "I know you believe what you're doing is right. But for the collective good you must surrender now."

Soon my teammates arrive with me as we stand away from Cap's team, facing each other.

"What do we do, Cap?" Falcon asks the Super Soldier.

"We fight," Rogers states and they start to walk to us.

My teammates and I do the same, closing distance between each other as my flames crackle in excitement.

"Um, they're not stopping," Spider-Man says to Stark.

"Neither are we," the Avenger declares as he and War Machine take off into flight and both Cap's team and my team break off into a sprint at each other.

We all then started to fight as soon as we reached other, and I went to fight the girl known as Wanda Maximoff. I rush at her and throw a fist. She blocks it by making a red energy shield but I retreat and immediately follow with a roundhouse kick to her side. She tries to block it as well, but I'm too fast. My leg hits her side and she gasps in pain. I don't let up and grab the collar of her jacket, pulling her head toward my skull and I headbutt her. She seems to take it and pushes me back with her telekinetic powers, making me crash into a cargo container. I expand my flames and the container explodes, giving me some cover as I make my next move. I toss my chains at the Sokovian brunette and they wrap around her. She tries to take them off with her powers but it doesn't work. I pull her toward me and grab her shirt, allowing me to slam her into the ground. I do just that and I can see the Scarlet Witch gasp for air, seemingly winded.

"Wh-what are you?" Wanda asks me with fear-filled eyes.

"The Ghost Rider," I answer and get closer to the girl's face. "I'm sorry for being so rough, but it's my job. And, in all honesty, there was no way you could beat me."

I then use my powers to make the girl fall asleep.

"Now... sleeeeep," I tell the Sokovian and her eyes slowly but surely close.

Seeing that she's now asleep, I unwrap my chains from her body and leave her be. I start to make my way to Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers when I suddenly hear Ant Man shout.

"I'M THE BOSS!" he screams and I turn to see him jump onto James Rhodes' back.

He then instantly enlarges himself to the size of a giant and I even step back in shock.

"Woah," I say and ready myself to fight.

If a skull could smirk, mine would be doing so right now.

"Holy shit!" Spider-Man shouts in surprise as he swings away from the now not-so-ant Ant Man.

"Okay, tiny dude is big now," Rhodes says in shock and awe. "He's big now!"

Iron Man then flies up to Giant Man and kicks him saying, "Give me back my Rhodey!"

James Rhodes then falls from the Giant Man's hand and Spider-Man swings in.

"I got him!" he says and catches War Machine, swinging away to safety.

Giant Man then kicks a bus at T'Challa and I throw my chains at him. They wrap around his body and I pull him in my direction, away from danger.

"You good?" I ask the king of Wakanda.

"Yes," he says. "Thank you for your assist."

"Again, no problem," I tell the Black Panther and he rushes off to get Barnes.

"Okay, anybody on our side hiding any shocking and fantastic abilities they'd like to disclose?" Iron Man asks as he flies around Giant Man. "I'm open to suggestion!"

My skull would be grinning madly if it could since I've actually got a cool power I'd like to share.

"Actually... yeah!" I declare.

"Really?" Stark asks me. "Okay then! Go ahead!"

I bring my fingers to my mouth and whistle, causing the sound of an engine to be heard. I then turn my skull behind me and see my new Panhead Chopper, courtesy of Tony Stark, driving itself in my direction. As it grows close to me I quickly ready myself to hop on, and once it reaches me I instantly hop on as it's still going but now having control of it. Once I got at the handles, the motorcycle erupts in flames and changes into what Zarathos likes to call a Hellcycle

I ride my way to Giant Man and hear Stark over my earpiece.

"Seriously?! You just ruined a perfectly good bike!" Tony shouts in my ear in slight anger.

"Actually, I only made it better," I say proudly as I made my way to the not-so-ant Ant Man.

I then take out my chains and wrap them a crate. I pull it along with me and then throw it at Giant Man and it hits him in the face, making him stumble back and flail his arms as he tries to balance himself. The spider-themed hero tries his best to avoid the large arms of the almost falling man since he was the closest to him.

"Okay everyone! I need ideas!" Tony says as he blasts Giant Man in the chest, not doing much.

"Hey! That tickles!" the said criminal states as he steadies himself.

"Hey guys! Ever heard of the Empire Strikes Back?!" Spider-Man asks as he swings around Giant Man. "And remember those giant walkie-thingies?!"

"Wait... you mean AT-ATs?!" I ask and instantly know his plan.

"Jesus, Tony, how old are these guys?" War Machine asks Tony.

"I don't know, I didn't carbon-date them," Stark states as he flies around. "They're on the young side. At least I think Underoos over there is."

"Rider! You know what I'm talking about, right?!" Spider-Man asks me.

"Hell yeah I do!" I say, readying my chains. "I'll follow you! Tony, Rhodes! Keep the big guy occupied!"

"Got it!" the two armour wearers say as they distract Giant Man.

Spider-Man then starts to wrap his webbing around Giant Man's upper legs and I ride around his feet, wrapping my chains around his ankles and lower legs. Then Iron Man and War Machine charge at Giant Man's head and deliver a powerful duo punch to his helmet, and since his legs were wrapped in chains and webs he tumbles backwards.

"YES! Ha ha! That was awesome!" the young hero declares in awe.

He then gets hit by a flailing arm and gets knocked away from the rest of us. Tony goes to get the kid and I direct my bike to the direction of the Quinjet where I knew Captain America and Barnes is at. As I make my way over to the hanger I see the Quinjet fly away and see Black Widow as well as T'Challa whose on the ground, panting. I roll up to Natasha and give her the best glare a skeleton can give, growling at her as well.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" I shout at her as I step off my bike. "You're supposed to help us and you're letting them get away?!"

"I said I'd help you find him, not catch him," the spy tells me, smirking. "There's a difference."

I growl in anger and walk up to the traitor, clenching my fist.

"What? Mad that I did what I was told?" Natasha asks me with the same smirk which pissed me off even more.

I reel my fist back and deck the woman in the face. Her neck turns violently and she flies back about a foot before falling to the floor, knocked out. I then turn my attention to the fleeing Quinjet, but then see War Machine tailing it with Falcon right behind him. Then a yellow energy beam fires and makes its way to Falcon who seems to notice the laser and moves away from it, causing the laser to strike Rhodes and making him fall to the ground with smoke fuming from his suit. Iron Man was right behind War Machine, trying to catch him and if my eyes could widen in shock they would.

I quickly get back on my Hellcycle and speed over to the now crashed Rhodes. Once there, I stop my bike and see Tony holding an unconscious War Machine. I slam my fist against the handles of my Hellcycle and growl in anger. We lost the target and the fight, and a man is down. Whatever we do next, it needs to be successful.
