Todoroki: Part 1

The sounds of feet rushing in from the woods surrounding the cabin caught the groups' attention. Todoroki looked over from where the ring for the camp fire was. He sighed and visibly relaxed, realizing it was just you, Kirishima and Bakugou.

"Oh. You guys are finally back. We were getting worried about you." Midoriya said. Kaminari looked at you three

"You guys were gone for like, an hour. The hell were you doing out there? Did you get lost?" Kaminari asked. Todoroki frowned in worry. You were leaning against your thighs, trying to catch your breath. Suddenly, you looked up, tears falling from your eyes, making Todoroki worry even more. With a whimper, you raced towards Todoroki. He let out an "oof" as you collided with his chest. Todoroki stared down at you in shock as you wrapped your arms around the male's waist, your tears soaking his shirt.

"[Y/N]? What's wrong?" He asked, wrapping his arms securely around your shaking form. Getting no answer from you, Todoroki looked up at Kirishima and Bakugou for answers. Todoroki frowned and looked at Kirishima and Bakugou.

"[Y/N]'s crying and shaking, and you two look scared." Todoroki said. Kirishima frowned.

"Wait, you guys didn't hear that weird sound?" He asked. Todoroki gently ran his hand down your back, trying to get you to calm down.

"Um, I don't think so." Midoriya said, shaking his head. You sniffed and leaned away from Todoroki. He quickly helped you sit down next to him on the bench, still having his hand on your back. "Oh! We heard a deer call, if that's what you're talking about." Midoriya said. Todoroki nodded, confirming the male's story, his hand still on your back.

"Mmm. We did. It sounded close." He said. You frowned. You shook your head slowly, as if in a trance.

"That, that wasn't it." You said, almost inaudibly. Todoroki looked at you.

"Huh?" He asked. You looked up at everyone.

"It, it sounded really messed up." You said. Kirishima nodded.

"You guys didn't hear that?" He asked. Bakugou nodded.

"It was like a deer call, but, all wrong." Bakugou said, furrowing his brows in confusion and fear. Kaminari raised an eyebrow. He then started shaking his head and waving his hands back and forth.

"Okay, stop it, seriously. You guys don't need to freak us all out again." He said. He looked at you and smiled. "It was literally just an elk or a deer, or whatever. Just stop with that, okay. I was already freaked out all last night because of that bang." Kaminari said. You frowned and looked at Kaminari. Your tears weren't fake. They were real. As real as your Quirk. As real as the messed up deer call had been. Did they seriously not believe you, Bakugou and Kirishima? Todoroki tightened his hold around your shoulders lightly, making you look at him.

"Um, hey. Why don't we set up the campfire and try to relax a little. I think this place is playing mind tricks on us. Maybe if we all try to calm down, we won't keep getting scared over everything." Midoriya said. You looked around, your eyes widened slightly. No one believed you, Bakugou or Kirishima about what you all had heard in the woods. Was that all it was? Just your minds playing tricks on you? Todoroki looked down at you.

"Just lean into me if you want. I won't let anything hurt you, I promise." He said. You sighed and leaned your head into Todoroki's shoulder, trying to relax.

"Hey, how about, once we get the campfire going, we tell scary stories around the campfire!" Kaminari suggested.
