Kirishima: Part 1
You, Bakugou and Kirishima stopped running once you all got close to the ring where they were going to have the fire. You let go of Kirishima's hand, resting your hands on your thighs, trying to catch your breath. Midoriya looked over from where the ring for the camp fire was.
"Oh. You guys are finally back. We were getting worried about you." He said. Kaminari looked at you three.
"You guys were gone for like, an hour. The hell were you doing out there? Did you get lost?" Kaminari asked. Your breaths were shuttering, and uneven. Kirishima straightened up, having already caught his breath, and gently placed a hand on your back in comfort. With a whimper, you quickly straightened up and hugged Kirishima, your arms winding around his neck. Kirishima frowned when he heard sniffles, realizing that you were crying. Kirishima wrapped his arms around you, holding you close. Kirishima sighed.
"It's okay. You're safe now." He said quietly, trying to get you to calm down. Kirishima tried to hide how scared he was as well. That sound had made his blood run cold. Todoroki frowned and looked from Kirishima and Bakugou to you.
"[Y/N]'s crying and shaking, and you two look scared." Todoroki said. "What happened?" He asked. Kirishima frowned and looked at Todoroki, still holding you close.
"Wait, you guys didn't hear that weird sound?" He asked, gently ran his hand down your back, trying to get you to calm down. Midoriya looked at the red head in slight confusion.
"Um, I don't think so." Midoriya said. You sniffed and leaned away from Kirishima, almost looking like you were in a trance. Kirishima turned his head towards your ear.
"Let's go and sit down, yeah?" He whispered. You nodded. Still keeping an arm around your shoulders, Kirishima lead you over to an unoccupied bench around the pit. Midoriya looked at the group.
"Oh! We heard a deer call, if that's what you're talking about." He said. Bakugou narrowed his eyes in confusion at the green haired male. Todoroki nodded, confirming his story.
"A deer call?" Bakugou asked, sitting next to Kirishima.
"Mmm. We did. It sounded close." He said. You frowned. You had your head tucked into Kirishima's neck. You lifted their head and shook it slowly, as if in a trance.
"That, that wasn't it." You said, almost inaudibly. Midoriya looked at you. Kirishima looked down at you.
"Huh?" Midoriya asked. You looked up at everyone. Your eyes were now glowing like they had been before, however, they were glowing with fear instead of glowing with happiness and love.
"It, it sounded really messed up." You said. Kirishima nodded, looking at Midoriya.
"You guys didn't hear that?" He asked. Bakugou nodded, sighing and resting the side of his forehead against your head.
"It was like a deer call, but, all wrong." Bakugou said. Kaminari raised an eyebrow. He then started shaking his head and waving his hands back and forth.
"Okay, stop it, seriously. You guys don't need to freak us all out again." He said. He looked at you and Bakugou and smiled. "It was literally just an elk or a deer, or whatever. Just stop with that, okay. I was already freaked out all last night because of that bang." Kaminari said. You frowned and looked at Kaminari. Bakugou growled.
"Now isn't the time, Dunce Face." Bakugou growled. You were in an emotional state, you didn't need those kind of words right now. You looked down at the ground in thought.
My tears weren't fake. They were real. As real as my Quirk. As real as the messed up deer call had been. You thought. Do they seriously not believe us? You thought. Midoriya looked around at the group, sensing the energy change.
"Um, hey," he said, shaking you from your thoughts. You looked at him. "Why don't we set up the campfire and try to relax a little. I think this place is playing mind tricks on us. Maybe if we all try to calm down, we won't keep getting scared over everything." Midoriya said. You looked around, their eyes widened slightly.
No one believes us about what we had heard in the woods. You thought. Was that all it was? Just our minds playing tricks on us? You thought. Bakugou sighed and turned his head towards your ear again.
"I know that what happened in the woods earlier scared you, it scared me to," he whispered. He sighed, his breath brushing against your ear. "Just relax. I promise, I'm not going to let anything hurt you." He whispered. You sighed and nodded, dropping your head to tuck back into his neck.
"Hey, how about, once we get the campfire going, we tell scary stories around the campfire!" Kaminari suggested.
