70 Larrup

Part 70 Larrup

The bell rang again. Khushi stepped back. She was sure it could not be Arnav because Arnav would not ring the bell again and again having the key in his hand. He knew it would disturb Nani and Shali's sleep.

Khushi thought something and called Arnav. Shyam who was on the other side smirked, seeing Khushi's number flashing on the mobile screen. He might have been expecting that. He received the call.

"Hello, Arnavji..." Khushi said panicking.

"Your Arnavji can't talk to you because he is in my custody Khushi," Shyam said.

Khushi's breath ditched her lungs hearing Shyam's voice on Arnav's phone. How did Arnav's phone go to Shyam's hand? Her nervousness touched its peak.

"Who is speaking?" She asked even though she knew it was Shyam.

"This is not fair Khushi... How could you forget your lovable Jeejaji's voice?" he asked teasingly as he sensed she understood him.

"Where is Arnavji? How did you get his phone?" she asked getting courage.

"I got his phone to get you. Didn't I say he is in my custody?"

"Chi... I have never seen a filthy-headed man like you"

"Now also you are not seeing me... Open the door, baby"

"Shut your mouth and go back from here"

"I didn't come so long to go back, Khushi. You have to listen to me. You have no choice... you can't escape from me this time"

"I'm someone's wife now"

"So what? Anyone's wife can sleep with anyone... Don't you know that?"

"I warn you. Run away. Or else, you will lose your life" she warned him.

"You became over courageous it seems... but, it won't work today. Stop talking and open the door If you want your husband alive" he literally threatened her.

Khushi was horrified. ALIVE? What did that mean? Was Arnav really in his custody? Would he kill Arnav if she didn't open the door? She stood like a statue, sweating badly.

At the same time, she got a call on the second line. It was NK's call. Without thinking of anything, Khushi put Shyam's call on hold and attended it. So that he won't get doubt.

"Nanne, where are you? How many times I should call you? Did you see Arnavji?" she talked hurriedly and stopped hearing,

"Khushiiiii"

Khushi got stuck, hearing Arnav's voice.

"Arnavji... You? Shyam said you are in his custody..."

Cutting her,

"Don't trust him... He didn't kidnap me but tied me up in the car. He stole my phone. NK rescued me. I'm fine. Don't open the door. Be safe. Don't let him in. I'm on the way to RM. Will be there in half an hour... Be careful "

"Shyam is outside RM, Arnavji... He threatens me that he will kill you if I don't obey him" Khushi said nervously.

"What? Did he threaten you?"

Khushi looked at Anjali who raised the question, looking at her bewildered.

"Arnavji, I will talk to you later, be safe"

"I will be..."

Khushi disconnected both calls. Anjali came to Khushi.

"Is he here?" She asked, clutching Khushi's shoulders.

Khushi nodded yes. At the same time, Shyam called Khushi through Arnav's mobile.

"He is the one who is calling," Khushi said, showing the phone screen to Anjali.

"But, how did he get Arnav's phone?" Anjali questioned.

"He stole it from Arnavji, attacking him"

"Didn't Arnav lock his phone with a password?"

"He did... Shyam should have opened it with Arnavji's fingerprint...I suppose" Khushi guessed it right.

"Go and open the door," Anjali said.

Khushi looked at her shockingly.

"Di... What are you saying?"

"Do you trust me?"

Khushi nodded yes, gulping down. Shyam rang the calling bell again.

"Let me handle him"

"He is a very dangerous man, di. He would be angry with you too"

"I'm also angry with him like hell, Khushi... and I too know him"

"He will do anything, di..."

"Khushi, don't waste time... Go and open the door. I promise... I will not let him touch you"

Khushi walked to the door slowly. She was shocked and also understood Anjali's idea when she hid behind the door, taking a metal flower vase in her hand.

"Open the door and move a few steps away instantly" Anjali insisted.

Taking a deep breath, Khushi opened the door and stepped away swiftly. As Anjali warned, Shyam tried to spray something on her face. As Khushi moved away, she escaped from the spray and instantly closed her nose with her shawl. As Shyam didn't expect, a thunder-like something got onto his head. That made him stumbled. He looked back and found his wife, standing like a goddess of anger. She again hit him with the same flower vase. Shyam held his blood-oozing head.

"Rani Sahiba..."

Anjali hit him again.

"Don't you dare call me Rani Sahiba... you, son of a Bi***" she roared like a lioness.

Shyam fell to the ground with his head full of blood. Khushi stood, bamboozled. She had never witnessed Anjali in that state. She always looked cool and soothing.

Shyam tried to keep his eyes open. Anjali kicked him hard.

"Why the hell did you cheat on me... you bloody bugger..."

"Di, please calm down"

"no, Khushi... You have no idea how my mind is seething... this moron made me fool, making me trust him...you don't know the pain, Khushi... he should not be forgiven... he should die" She raised the vase to hit him again.

Khushi clutched her hand.

"Di, he will die"

"Let him die... he will be the headache to everyone"

"I have no issues if he dies but, I don't want you to spoil your life. Shali is there for you... don't forget that"

They saw Alex hurrying inside with his revolver in his hand. He got stuck, seeing bloody Shyam and then Anjali with a bloody vase. He understood what would have happened. He walked to her and took the vase from her hand. Pulling his handkerchief out of his pant pocket, he wiped the part of the vase where Anjali was holding it. Anjali and Khushi understood that he wiped her fingerprints.

"Are you alright?" Alex asked Khushi, keeping the revolver back in the pouch.

"I'm alright"

They saw Arnav and NK rushing. Khushi saw red patches in his hands. She rushed to him and examined his hands.

"Are you alright, Arnavji?"

Arnav pulled his hands.

"Why did you open the door, Khushi? Didn't you know how dangerous he is?"

"I'm the one who asked her to open the door," Anjali said.

"What if..."

Cutting him,

"If anything had happened, I would have killed him," Anjali said.

"Why should you take risks?"

"It's because I don't want him to escape this time. How long could we be tense about him? I thought to kill the issue. That's why I took a risk"

Arnav was not satisfied with what they did.

"I'm sorry, Arnavji" Khushi said, pleadingly.

"Leave it, Nannav... they had finished it," NK said.

"Yes, Arnav... He was fussing us like hell... his story seems to be finished this way... in his wife's hands" Alex said.

He looked at Anjali.

"You don't have to worry about him. I will take care"

Anjali nodded ok.

"Please, inspector, make sure he can't be out of the prison anyhow," Anjali said.

"He won't... it's my responsibility"

Alex took his mobile out and called the cops. Shyam opened his eyes and removed a folding knife from his pant pocket. He aimed the knife at Arnav and was about to fling it, Anjali saw that. In no time, taking the revolver from Alex's pouch, she shot Shyam. He slid into the pool of blood, dropping the knife.

To be continued...
