58 HIT of Khushi
Part 58 HIT of Khushi
The next morning
Arnav woke up from his sleep. He found himself on the bed and Khushi's saree was still being stuck with the cupboard door. He remembered what happened between him and Khushi last night.
Arnav was suffocating as he had to face Khushi now. He didn't know why did he do that. He could not understand how he lost himself in Khushi. He felt ashamed to face her as he consummated even before confessed what he felt for her. He didn't think of doing it though. When the time they witnessed the young couple's romance, he didn't know what happened to him. An extreme level of disturbance arose in him that he could not name. He didn't even think of Khushi, whether she was fine with what he had done. He didn't know what she thought of him.
Arnav got alert, seeing Khushi coming out of the washroom all fresh. She smiled at him pleasantly. he got off the bed hurriedly as if he didn't see her smile. He went to the washroom and took shower.
Arnav came out finishing his bath and wondered as Khushi looked cool. She noticed him avoiding looking at her. She smiled inwardly. After all, he was the man who feared falling in love. He feared... it didn't mean he didn't have love in his heart. He just didn't realize it. that's all. She knew that.
Khushi started combing her hair, sitting in front of the dressing table, and observing Arnav through the mirror. She smiled at him when he looked at her through the mirror.
"Actually..." he suffocated to talk to her.
"Tell me Arnavji..." she looked at him through the mirror daringly.
"Last night..." he gulped hard.
Khushi turned toward him and looked at him with a stern gaze.
"I don't know how I lost myself... I just didn't know what I was doing... IT happened... and..." he felt awkward explaining what he felt.
Khushi was looking at him with a plain expression without interrupting him. That made Arnav more awkward.
"Actually...it was not intentional... it's an accident..."
Cutting him,
"You are lying, Arnavji..." Khushi said calmly which made him stuck.
"No accident can be so BEAUTIFUL like, how it was..." she said making him gulp down hard.
"I didn't sense hesitation in your touch. You adored me to the fullest. It can't be an accident..."
Arnav closed his eyes, parting his lips.
"You did what you wanted to... those feelings were the outcome of your dumbed emotions. Accept it or not... I got to know something last night"
Arnav stared at her without blinking.
She left the place without telling him what she understood last night, leaving him in suspense. Arnav could not stay in the suspense. He wanted to know what she got to know last night. So, he followed her to the kitchen. Hari Prakash saw him and left the kitchen.
"You can be waiting in the living room, Arnavji. I will bring you coffee" Khushi said.
"What did you get to know?" he asked wanting to know that.
Without answering him, she turned the stove off and poured the boiled milk into cups.
"I'm asking you only, Khushi," Arnav asked sternly.
"I'm not going to tell you that" she mixed coffee powder and sugar in the milk, without looking at him.
"But why?" he asked not expecting that.
"What's the use of telling you, when you yourself didn't understand that?" she blinked her eyes.
"I will understand... tell me," he asked.
"No... you won't" she gave a cup to him.
"I will try to understand at least," he said not showing his disappointment.
"You can't..." She walked out, sipping the coffee.
Arnav followed her with the cup. Khushi went to Nani's room and gave her coffee.
"Thank you, Khushi bitiya..."
Khushi sat with her and drank the coffee.
"Did you give coffee to Anjali bitiya?"
"She has not woken up yet, Naniji"
Nani saw Arnav coming.
"Chotte... do you want anything?"
Khushi saw him while sipping the coffee as if she didn't know why was he there. Arnav nodded no and left the place. Nani looked at Khushi questioningly. Khushi shrugged her shoulders off like NOTHING.
Arnav waited for Khushi in his room. He expected her to call him for the breakfast but she didn't come but HariPrakash. Arnav rolled his eyes annoyingly and came downstairs. He saw Khushi feeding breakfast to Shali. Anjali smiled at him whereas Khushi didn't look at him.
"Khushi, you eat. I will feed her" Anjali said.
"I will eat while feeding her, Di"
Khushi started eating side by side. Arnav who was suffocating to facing Khushi a few hours ago was suffocating as she refused to look at him completely. He intentionally ate slowly. Finishing breakfast, Khushi stood up. Arnav was about to say something, they heard a noise from outside.
"Khushi bitiya, could you see what's happening there?" Nani asked.
"Jee"
Khushi went out. She saw a girl pleading with security.
"Please, bhaiya, let me meet the owner of the house once."
"No no... no one could meet them just like that"
"Please, bhaiya..."
The girl was wearing an old, crumpled suit. She looked poor indeed.
"What's the problem, Bhaiya?" Khushi asked.
"Jee, this girl is adamant to meet you"
"Meet me?" Khushi looked at her.
"Oh... is she the owner of this house?" the girl's face brightened.
"What do you want?"
"A job"
"Job?"
"Jee... please give me a job. I have no one... please Didi" the girl pleaded.
That was when Nani came out, hearing her.
"Who are you bitiya?"
"I'm Rani. I was brought up in an orphanage. I have no one. I'm searching for a job for a few days. I'm ready to do any job. Please give me a job, Dadi"
Nani looked at Khushi.
"Khushi bitiya, you are the deciding authority of RM. You can make a decision according to your wish"
Khushi looked at Rani.
"Didi, I will do whatever you say... trust me. I will be loyal to you" she looked pity.
"Naniji, we don't know who is she. Without knowing anything, how could we give her a job?"
Nani looked at Rani who looked pitiful.
"she looks very poor, bitiya"
"Ok, Naniji, if you feel like giving her a job, do it"
"Look girl, I will give you a job. If we are not satisfied with your work, we won't mind firing you."
"Thank you Naniji," she said joining her hands.
"We already have a servant called Hari Prakash. He will assign you the work. Just obey him" Nani said.
"Jeeje Naniji, as you said"
Khushi brought Rani to the kitchen.
"Hari Prakashji, she is Rani, joined as a servant in our house. She will do what you say."
Hari Prakash nodded ok.
"You can stay in the store room as of now," Khushi said.
"Jee, Didi"
"Hari Prakashji, tell her how to behave with our family members."
"Jee Khushi Bhabi"
Khushi left the kitchen.
"As of now, you just do the work of cleaning and wiping"
"Jee"
"Naniji drinks only hot water. Don't give her normal water ever"
"Jee..."
"Arnav baba won't like anyone entering his room. Don't go to his room"
"Then how do I clean his room?"
"You can do that when he is not at home."
"Jee... what should I do now?"
"Wash the utensils"
She nodded ok and started washing the utensils. Hari Prakash frowned, seeing her way of washing.
"Don't you ever wash the utensils?"
"No, Bhaiya... but I will learn"
Hari Prakash rolled his eyes.
"Don't open the tap fully. The water will splash all over."
"Jee..."
"She doesn't even know a simple thing... don't know what will she do here" Haripakash murmured.
...............
Arnav was pacing in his room. his head may blast anytime without knowing what Khushi got to know last night. He thought she would come to their room for any reason but she came only to call him for the lunch.
"Arnavji, the lunch is ready" she was about to go,
"Khushiiii..." he shouted.
Khushi looked at him lifting her brows.
"Get in..." he ordered.
"Anything serious?" she asked not getting inside.
Arnav walked to her and pulled her inside the room, clutching her hand. Khushi looked at him shockingly.
"Tell me now..." Arnav asked.
"Whaaaat?"
"What did you understand last night?"
Khushi closed her eyes sighing and then looked at him. Pulling her, Arnav pinned her on the wall.
"Khushi, don't test my patience, ok?" he pressed himself on her.
Khushi ran her eyes at their closeness.
"What do you want to know?" she looked at him without disturbance on her face even though he was close to her.
"What... did... you... understand...?"
"I understood that..."
Arnav nodded his head like, tell me...
"YOU LOVE ME," she said meeting his eyes.
Arnav's clutch on her hands slackened. He took a step back, gulping down. He turned opposite to her as he could not face her sharp gaze.
"I got to know that I owned a place in your heart. I sensed it in your touch... You were not what you are showing... Maybe... that's what real you."
Arnav closed his eyes, fisting his fingers.
"I know you can't understand or accept it because your ideology is different. That's why I don't want to tell you what I understood" she walked out.
Arnav turned around and looked at her retreating figure swallowing hard.
