Part 50 First Pick

Anjali was horrified, seeing Shyam. He smiled at her cheesy. In no time, he hugged her.

"How are you, Rani Sahiba? How are living without seeing me? I know how your heart yearns to see me"

He saw Arnav and Khushi looking at him bewildered.

"You are right, Rani Sahiba. They came to meet you as you said"

Arnav and Khushi spared a glance with a shocking expressions. Anjali pushed him using her full strength.

"He is lying. Don't trust him Khushi" Anjali shouted.

"Don't be feared of them, Rani Sahiba. They can do nothing. You just helped your husband to revenge on this man who hit him brutally. What's wrong with that? Don't worry. I will take care of them." Shyam said.

Arnav looked at Anjali getting suspicion whereas Khushi said,

"She didn't even know we are coming here. Then how could she have told you, we will come here?"

"She didn't know about your arrival but she knows you. She guessed you will come here to console her. What she expected happened" Shyam said.

"No Khushi... I didn't talk to him. He is lying" Anjali said.

Shyam moved towards Arnav while removing something from his pant pocket. He raised his hand towards Arnav's face and sprayed something. Arnav who got alert bent down. The spray reached Khushi's face and she fainted. Arnav held her in his arms before she hit the ground. Shyam again tried to hit the spray on Arnav. Taking a flower vase, Anjali hit Shyam's head. He turned towards Anjali and pushed her hard. She banged on the wall and her forehead got injured.

Without wasting time, Arnav kicked him on his stomach. Shyam was thrown away from them. The spray bottle fell and rolled under the couch that was at the corner of the living room. Shyam tried to take it. But, it was not easy for him as Arnav was there. Clutching his collar, Arnav banged his head on the floor.

At the same time, Shyam saw Alexander rushing inside. Pushing Arnav with full force, he galloped upstairs. Arnav chased him senselessly. Shyam jumped from one building to the next building. It seemed he was well prepared for the situation. Arnav was about to follow him, but Alex stopped him.

"Arnav, I will take care of him. Go and look after Khushi" He said while zooming toward Shyam.

Arnav got his sense back and came downstairs. He saw Anjali trying to wake up Khushi by sprinkling water on her face.

"There is no use in trying to wake her up. She won't wake up until the chloroform's effect is there in her" Arnav said.

Anjali sat on the couch with a thud.

"What he said is not true. Please trust me, Arnav"

"I understood that when you hit him with the flower vase."

Anjali cried closing her face.

"A few minutes ago, you said he won't dare face you... Will you say the same now also?" Arnav raised a question.

Anjali nodded no.

"He never misses a chance to make me shocked. At first, he tried to abduct my sister... And now, he tried to keep me away from you by creating a rift between us"

"What else could you expect from the man who cheated on you?"

Anjali nodded yes wiping her tears.

"Do you still think you can be safe in this place?"

Anjali was silent.

"We are not going to leave you here anymore, no matter what"

"The inspector will arrest him, Arnav"

"Yet, it's not safe"

They saw Alex coming. His facial expression told them that Shyam escaped.

"What happened, Alex?"

"He escaped... I think he planned well and prepared well for this situation. He is more dangerous than we thought Arnav"

Anjali looked at them with confusion, seeing them talking casually. Alex saw her and understood her turmoil.

"We are friends," said Alex.

Anjali was stunned.

"How did you come here at the right time?" Arnav asked Alex.

"The security has my instruction. I asked him to call me if Shyam comes here"

"That's why he let him enter the house?" Anjali asked.

"Yes, I'm the one who told him not to stop Shyam," Alex said.

"I think we should take Khushi's sister to RM," Arnav said.

"I too want to tell you the same Arnav. She should not be alone. It's not advisable" Alex said.

"But... How could I go to my sister's house?"

"You are not going there to enjoy your life lavishly... This is an emergency... until your husband got arrested, please stay with Arnav. If not for yourself, go there for your daughter's safety at least"

"Please say yes," Arnav said.

"Ok..." Anjali said.

"Pack your things," Alex said.

She nodded ok and went to her room to pack her things.

"Is Khushi alright?"

"He sprayed chloroform on her face"

Alex called someone.

"Doctor, could you please come to the address I send you?"

"What's the problem, sir?"

"A girl is affected with chloroform"

"Oh... Ok, I will be there in a few minutes"

The doctor disconnected the call.

Alex texted the address to the doctor. Anjali came with her bag.

"Pick Khushi... Let's go" Alex said.

"But, the doctor will come here..." Arnav said.

Cutting him,

"No, the doctor will come to RM"

"Did you give him RM's address?"

"Yeah... Why should we be waiting here? Let's go to RM"

"But..."

"Arrey... Why are you hesitating? She is your wife. You got married to her. Remember?"

Arnav was stuck.

"Pick her up, man"

Alex took the bag from Anjali and Anjali lifted Shali and walked behind Alex. Arnav came close to Khushi with hesitation. Taking a deep breath, he gathered her in his arms and walked out.

Locking the door, Alex rushed to open the car door to help Arnav. Anjali took Khushi's head on her lap.

"You go. I will come by bike" Alex said.

Arnav nodded ok and started the car. He looked at Khushi who was lying on Anjali's lap.

Before they reached RM, the doctor and Alex reached. Picking Khushi in his arms again, Arnav walked in.

"What happened to Khushi?" Nani asked panicking.

"Nothing Naniji... She just fainted" Alex said.

Arnav kept Khushi on the couch. The doctor injected Khushi after examining her.

"She will wake up in a few minutes," the doctor said.

"Thank you, doctor"

Alex sent him off.

"Nani, she is Khushi's sister" Arnav introduced Anjali to Nani.

"Namaste Naniji," Anjali said.

"Namaste bitiya. You don't have to hesitate to stay here. Just feel free"

"Thank you, Naniji"

"Hariprakash..." Nani called.

HP came from the kitchen.

"Take her to the guest room. Make everything comfortable for them"

"Jee Naniji," HP said.

Taking Anjali's bag,

"Please come" HP walked to the guest room.

Anjali followed him with Shali.

"Who's house is this?" Shali asked.

"Khushi Massi's house"

"Are we going to be here?"

"Yes..."

"What happened to Khuchi?"

"She fainted"

"What did dad do to her?"

"Nothing"

"I saw him spraying something on her"

Anjali was silent.

"Tell me"

"I don't know," Anjali said

Arnav and Alex spared a glance.

"Take care of them, ASR"

"Yeah..."

"Call me anytime... If needed"

"Sure"

"I'm leaving," Alex said.

"Thank you for coming at the right time"

"But, I could not catch him" Alex regretted.

"Letting him be free is not good for us, Alex"

"I know. We will get him soon"

"Hope so"

Alex left RM.

"Is everything alright?" Nani asked.

Arnav told her everything that happened at Shali Villas.

"It seems he is a dangerous man"

"Yes, Nani... He is not hesitating to hurt anyone. His target was me. He wanted to make me faint to abduct Khushi. I just got alerted... That's why his aim didn't work"

"You should be careful"

"Mmm"

"Take Khushi to your room. Let her sleep for a while."

"Let her wake up Nani"

"She doesn't need to wake up. The effect of the medicine will keep her tired I suppose..."

Arnav was silent.

"She needs rest. Take her to your room" Nani insisted.

As Nani was not wrong, Arnav picked Khushi again and walked to their room. When he climbed the stairs, Khushi opened her eyes slowly, getting consciousness. She felt heaviness in her eyes and head. She was shocked, seeing herself in Arnav's arms. She could not believe Arnav lifted her. A sudden nervousness raised in her heart. She looked at Arnav with half-closed eyes. Arnav also sensed it which embarrassed him like hell.

Coming to their room, he kept her on the bed. He plastered a smile but Khushi could not even fake a smile.

"Take rest for a while. You will feel better"

Khushi nodded ok and closed her eyes. Arnav sat on the couch. Though he didn't want to look at her he could not.

Khushi was in a different thought as she didn't expect Arnav would pick her up in his arms. Though the circumstance needed it she didn't expect it. She believed Arnav would accept her as his wife soon.
