*THUD*

The two were tippy toeing careful, memorizing a section of the maze before Y/N and Nobara duck behind a corner.

Y/N: *whisper* Footsteps.

They wait for the footsteps to fade before quickly running to the left to find a corpse with a key in its abdomen.

Nobara: Ew.

They quickly sprint back to the entrance, ducking behind the door they came into the maze with.

Y/N: One thing's for sure. Whatever is there isn't going around to the entrance.

Nobara: No shit. Do you want whatever's there to hear us?

Y/N: You're the loud one.

She scoffs before they quickly head to the maze, already knowing there's nothing on the left before making their way to the right with the key.

Nobara: Shhhh....

*THUD*

Hearing a loud stomp, they hide behind a corner, waiting for it to fade before making their way-

Nobara: Damnit a dead end-

*THUD*

Footsteps quickly approached their location, and finding an object they quickly hid behind.

JSDHEJJDJEDJDBD

The tall figure looks around, Nobara staring at him from a blind spot before it turns and walks away.

Nobara: Ok......

They got out of their hiding spot, and after observing the cycles and such of the figure walking, they made their way to the right-

???: SSSCCRRREEECCCCHHHH

Nobara: FUCKING BOOK IT!

As if by a stroke of luck, they made a mad dash to the right and found another white door.

*CLING*

Y/N: YOU DROPPED THE FUCKING KEYS!

Nobara: I'M TRYING!

They managed to open the door just as the tall figure was seen just around the corner, and they barge through before slamming the door shut and locking it from the other side. They sprinted ahead for a while before stopping at the end.

Nobara:...Alright we're definitely not at the high school anymore.

Y/N: My phone doesn't work.

Nobara: Mine either. Did you try calling your parents?

Y/N: I didn't see them for the whole day.

Nobara: You didn't?

Y/N: They said they were coming to my school for a parent teacher conference.......but the gps tracker says they went here strangely.

Nobara:..........Let's get going then.

She had a worried look as they walked forward, making their way to-

*WHOOSH*

Something flashed before Y/N's eyes, causing him to stop along with Nobara.

Nobara: *rubbing eyes* I gotta get used to that.

Y/N: This is a village- A PERSON!

They find someone in the village and run to him, frantic though the farmer seemed rather scared.

Farmer: I haven't seen you around here.

Y/N: We're not really from around here.

Farmer: Well....then please be careful around here. My brother recently went into the city and hasn't been back around since. I don't know how much longer I'll be able to stay here. She is probably watching us as we speak.

Nobara/Y/N: Who?

Farmer: I'm....not sure how to describe it. Though if you see a lady playing a biwa.....it's already too late.

His voice had a sense of urgency before Y/N's and Nobara's stomach growls.

Y/N: Sir do you have food to spare?

Farmer: Food......I actually do. My brother have always given me these canned foods from the city in cause we run out. I can give you some since there's a lot.

He gives them several cans of meat, vegetables and more when Y/N and Nobara rip open the meat with vegetables and chug it down.

Nobara: *CHOMP* Fuck this is disgusting but I don't have time to be picky.

Y/N: *CHOMP* Not bad.

Farmer: Safe travels kid......stay safe.

They finish their meal before storing the other cans in a straw bag given to them, the two thanking the man before quickly making their way through the village.

*PING*

Nobara: Cmon.....

MESSAGE:

Nobara: I don't know where I am. I don't think we're at La Quinta anymore

Nobara: I need help Sensei. This is different from the other curses......I'm scared.

Nobara: Please help me.

MESSAGE HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED

Y/N: You scared?

Nobara: HELL NO!

She brushes him off as she puts her phone away......but deep inside, she felt fear, as she was powerless, felt worry as she wasn't sure if her friend is even alive, and more fear as she didn't know what they were up against at all.......it didn't seem like anything with curses and the nagging, unnerving feeling of being watched filling her body only proved to increase their paranoia as they head into the cave.
