Emerald POV

After getting off the phone with Monica I was honestly a tad bit nervous about my date, who was I kidding I was a lot nervous. Yes I went out to dates in college but they were causal dates with immature men but Frediano was different way different. Even after the whole fiasco at the night club and him taking care of me,  in my purple nightgown with my purple bonnet (I love matching together) I laughed to myself talking my bonnet off and checking my head I still have a scar on the side actually five  stitches which I will always have.

Sighing I question myself why I decided to say yes hopefully he won't flake this time. After taking a quick shower I open my closet doors skim through my casual clothes and some dressy ones but find one I love a two piece red silk outfit and I have the perfect red bow tie high heels. Smiling I put my outfit on:

Putting my hair up in a high bun and adding a diamond choker and to finish it off with a black clutch purse. Rereading the note Frediano gave me and the flowers I sadly how to throw out. Checking the time it's 7:45 pm, closing my hotel room door I head downstairs to the hotel lobby I see an old Italian man standing in the middle of the lobby in an white and black suit hold a huge sign reading "Emerald Jackson" showing a simple smile I walk up to the man and say "Hello that's me Emerald Jackson" laughing slightly pointing to the poster board. The old man looks at me wide eyed like he hasn't seen a black woman in Italy before "Come on this way" he utters walking slightly fast for his age.

Heading outside the lobby I think to myself that  today must be really a good day see the sun shining bright as hell just how I like it. Beaming from the sun I see an all black limousine as the old man opens the door for me I say thank you in Italian I head inside the limo and go to Grandopolis.

Arriving at 8:00pm on the dot the driver opens the limo door and I step out on the outside looks the restaurant looks elegant and huge on the outside I imagine what it looks like inside. Looking around from the outside the parking lot is empty I question are you sure this is the right place the man nods his head and goes inside the limo and drives off.

Turning around I open the doors to the restaurant, I'm in awe this place is beautiful then I hear romantic music playing but it's wasn't from a CD I turn to the right and hear a small orchestra playing six of them in total three men and three women in total all wearing white the men tuxedos and the women in dresses. I slightly smile at them I continue to walk heading up three small steps and see Frediano in an all black tuxedo looking handsome as ever he smiles widely at me showing his white pearly teeth I smile back at him.

"You look absolutely marvelous Emerald."
Thank you I say to him he walks towards me and pulls out my chair I sit and he scoots me in as he sits down he raises his hand and the music suddenly stops
"why'd you stop the music?" I asked

He looked at him and said "I want to hear your voice more clearly."

"Ok." I said

Third POV

Pouring champagne for both of them Frediano said "So Emerald I want to know everything about you,your likes and dislikes where you're from and what you're family members are like."

Even though Frediano knew everything about Emerald including where and what time she was born.

Sipping what Tastes like a very expensive drink Emerald says "I was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 29th 1997, I'm the only child I love my parents very much I went to Phoenix Academy, graduated with honors then went to Howard university just graduated with a bachelors in art and architecture.
Still interested in what's Emerald saying Frediano still listens
"My favorite colors is yellow,black,white and gray..."

Interrupting Emerald with a laugh

"So you a four favorite colors?"

Chuckling a little Emerald says
"Yes  I do in no order of course but if I had to choose it would be Yellow."

"Ok continue." Frediano said sweetly

"Since I have no siblings my cousin her name is Monica she is basically like my sister,I prefer dogs over cats and my life's ambition is to build my structure somewhere." Emerald finished

"So you sketch a lot then?"Frediano asks

"Yes I do I have a large sketchbook and everything." Emerald says

"Can I see it some time?" Frediano asks

Emerald tensing up a little bit she says "I don't think I'm ready for someone to see my work yet."

"Of course I understand ." He said

"Mmm something smell good what are they making for dinner?" Emerald asked him

"Risotto alla Milanese and for dessert is chocolate lava cake the food should be coming out any minute now." Frediano said

"Since we are going to have to wait another minute for our food you tell me about your what's your likes and dislikes."  Emerald said repeating what he said to her earlier

"Alright I am 27 years old born on April 22,1991 born and raised in Florence Italy of course I went to a private school and I have a master's degree in business at the University of Turin. I have sister named Dahlia who is about your age and loving mother.My favorite is..."

Emerald interrupted him
"Wait you didn't mention your father."

After a quick pause Frediano said "Yes my father was murdered recently."

After Frediano said that a chef came out quickly with with dinner plates and put them on the table "enjoy" he said in Italian and quickly walked away.

Both really Uncomfortable

Emerald apologizes " I'm so sorry for saying that I didn't know.."

"How were you suppose to know."Frediano said
while picking up his fork and knife cutting his food making no eye contact with Emerald

Looking at Frediano with some sorrow Emerald touches his hand as Frediano instantly looks at her

Emerald takes away her "Ok so let me guess what your favorite color is hmmmm red." Laughing

"And how did you know." Frediano said laughing also

"Yes I knew I would,  now let me ask you something I've been really wanting to know."

"Ok ask away."  Frediano said suspiciously thinking that she's going to ask him about his other business

After taking a bite of her food Emerald asks

"The hotel that I'm staying at do you own it?."

"Yes I do I actually some others around Italy but I also have have other business ventures." Frediano said then taking a bite of his food

"Like what?"  Emerald said curiously

"The Mafia business."

Faintly choking on her champagne Emerald is taken aback

Wiping his mouth with a cloth then placing it over his food he asks Emerald

Do you fear me?"he asked
looking at him intently wondering if he's serious or not

"No." she said calmly

"You know I'm the most dangerous man in country" he said arrogantly.

Emerald looked at him and said

"My mother taught me never to Fear No One but God."
