"Here are the rules," Rocco said with a huge grin on his face, and everyone knows that when he grins or is even slightly happy, something bad is going to happen.
I mean I've only just met the guy and I know this, it's mad, really.
Rocco starts walking around in our little circle type thing.. I'm not even sure what shape it is. It's looks like Rocco tried to put us into a circle, but there are people more to the back of the room and some are closer to Rocco... And some somewhere in the middle. I don't even know where I am. It looks like a hospital room, but there is blood a lot of blood.
"Rule number one, Do not disobey me, ever," Rocco then started going into a whole fit of, 'never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever'... Yeah you get the idea... with 'disobey me at the end'.
"Rule number two, do not, and I repeat DO NOT touch the shoes," He pointed to Rhys, "And do not spit on them either young man. Or the hair. It takes a long time to get her in this shape."
Rhys smirked to himself, "No promises," before flinching, as if he was scared that Rocco was going to hurt him in some way.
Rocco just shrugged, "Alright, but no promises that you'll live to see next year."
Rhys bit his lip and shrugged as if she didn't want Rocco to see how scared he really was.
"Rule number three, there are loopholes, but you gotta figure out what they are, otherwise where's the fun in that?"
"Ain't no one said this was going to be fun," the guy that I presumed was Vince said.
"Yeah, what's fun is getting my nails done," Cassian said, looking at her nails again.
"Alright, alright, this isn't fun to you guys whatever, I don't give a damn about any of you," he pointed to all of us, his gaze lingering on mine.
I shrugged at him as if to say I didn't care about him either.
"Can we just go?" Vince said again, "No one has time for this."
Rocco gritted his teeth, "If you say another word, I swear, something very bad is going to happen to you and I will not give a DAMN what happens to you after that, do you understand!?" I could see he was trying his best to contain his irritation, but it was not working very well, at all.
Vince only sat there with a smug grin on his face, "VINCE, I said, do you understand." Rocco's whole face was red at this point.
The boy shrugged, which made Rocco even more annoyed than he already was, "Mate, you said I couldn't say anything, so why you getting so mad when I didn't say anything, just like you asked?" Vince easily kept his voice steady against Rocco.
"Fine, well how do you like this," Rocco said before pulling out a small device and pressing a button on it, making Vince collapse on the floor.
I gasped almost silently.
Rocco sighed, "Right! Now that he's gon-"
"Vince?! What did you do to him? We're just kids!" Cassian shouted, glaring at Rocco.
"Look girlie, if you don't want to end up like Vince, you should quiet your big mouth."
Cassian shut her mouth, almost forgetting about Vince as she looked at her fingernails again.
"Wow, they're annoying."I heard Rocco mumble underneath his breath before putting on his signature grin again, opening his arms.
"Alright, so here's how you gotta play the game. You each have a fear, none of them are physical, like clowns and stuff, they're more like your mental fears, like the fear of being watched I guess. I mean no one has that fear, 'cause I won't just give you the answers 'cause like where's the fun in that!"
The girl with the nails, Cassian, groaned and opened her mouth as if she was about to say something, until she saw the look on Rocco's face and closed it again.
"Good girl," he said, and looked as if he was about to pat her head.
Cassian rolled her eyes, biting her lip so hard it was starting to bleed.
Rocco smirked, "Anyways, the masked people you saw, you probably noticed they all had different things on their masks. They represent your fears, you need to work out who is behind the mask, and what the mask represents."
"That's easy!" Cassian said, unable to hold back her words.
"No it's not. Because you have to work out everyone's fear. You will have ten games and the loser of each one, you will have to guess their fear. If the majority guesses wrong, then, the loser dies, right in the face of their fear! Exciting, right!"
"But then we can just kill off everyone so that we win?"
"Yeah, but to win, the majority has to win with you. There are ten of you, so at least five of you has to survive so that you win."
"...Oh."
"Mhm, and you guys," he pointed to Scarlet and Ivy, two very similar people in the corner, "Because you guys are twins, you have the same fear and the same person behind the mask. So technically, there's only nine fears you have to find out."
"You each have phones that are in those boxes there," he pointed to ten small boxes, "And a masked person will take you to your rooms. They're not necessarily your own masked person. Remember, this is a reality TV show, alright, so no funny business. It's not live though, I mean some of them are, like this one, but most of the time, they'll be edited."
"Wait, you actually got permission to do this?" Cassian asked in shock.
"Well, yeah. Half you guys are killers, so it was either me kill you or the police do the deed. Makes it more entertaining. Especially for the guys watching you," He pointed to a camera, "Wave to the camera guys!"
We all sat there and did nothing.
"Jesus Christ, you need to cheer up! We're playing games! Who doesn't like playing games!?" He grinned.
"Well, I don't," I mumbled underneath my breath, a little louder than I wanted to.
"Ah, my little Feisty Fox is talking again! Not so big anymore are ya!"
I swallowed all my fear, "I don't why you keep saying that I'm acting all big, because if anyone's 'acting all big' it's you ." I formed my fingers into inverted commas to emphasise my point.
"What are you trying to act cool for all your new friends here?"
"I am not acting cool. It's just hard being so nice to someone so infuriating!"
"You mean someone so amazing and gorgeous as me!" Rocco batted his eyes at me.
"I don't know why I'm even talking to you. Just like other people, I have better things to do."
Rocco snorted, "Really."
The truth was... I actually didn't. This was the most strangest thing that has ever happened to me and if I'm being honest, it was pretty exciting... as well as very scary.
"Yes. I'd rather be anywhere else than here and talking to you."
"Admit it, you like me really-"
"Okay, can we stop with the flirting so we can go," Cassian jumped into our conversation.
"We were not flirting!" I shouted, louder than I expected.
"Ooh getting protective over me," Rocco laughed again.
"Ugh I hate you so much," I really didn't have a clue how I could hate someone so much, especially Rocco.
"Sure you do. Well! I'm off, now the masked figures will attack you and blah de blah."
He pranced off like a ballerina as the masked figures decided our fate.
