[Anthony]
I don't ever recall there being an Anthony one shot on wattpad, there probably isn't. So I guess this is the first?
Gah! My Saturday schedule is so ruined! I need to get back on a steady tempo ( ; –_–)

Note: This is a reincarnation AU so it is set in the modern times.
Teacher! Reader x child! Anthony.
Note I: Yes I put it like that, I'm not sure how old Anthony is or is it even mentioned? Oh well, he looks like a kid to me so.

Your time has come.

As a middle school teacher, you felt that, aside from teaching children, it was also your job to counsel them and bring them up to be better people. Afterall, it was better to bring up children rather then to fix men and women right?
In all honesty, [Y/n] enjoyed children, some were cute but stubborn to a fault, and there was the shy little ones who rather be alone than to play with others...
Then...
There was Anthony.
[Y/n] didn't understand the boy. Anthony was the class bully and he often found ways to annoy his teacher.
And because of that, he ended up friendless.
[Y/n] tried to help him, she really did, but Anthony didn't accept any of her offers for counseling or take any of her advice.
She always told herself that Anthony is a troubled kid and maybe his parents would know what to do with him.
You loved little children, naughty or nice.
They were sweet and different from one another in many ways.
Anthony's situation was a little different, you believed that there was a sweet, enthusiastic little boy locked away inside and replaced with a cold hard exterior. Like a macaroon!
And you were going to open up that macaroon to reveal it's sweet, sweet interior.
'Mmmm...macaroons...maybe I'll treat myself to a box...'

Crash!
The sound of braking glass inflated the room in a second before deflating in an instant.
A rock lays amidst the glass shards as the culprit.
Dropping the test papers you were scoring, you rushed to the scene and saw Anthony staring at the-now-broken window in shock at what he had-probably-done.
Younger children surrounded him and started to tease or scold him. Even both.
"Hah! You're really in trouble now!"
"Stupid! Look at what you have done!"
"What are you gonna do?? Run and cry like you always do??"
"Oooooooh, big bully is in his own mess! Ha hah!"
The poor brunette stood there trying not to cry.
Worried that it might cause older children to come, you quickly beckoned him in trying your best not to make it look like he was in trouble.

This was the fifth time this week, his teacher was calling him back in for a talk.
Anthony was a bitter kid, his grades were low, his school status was low, he was hated, and he had a temper.
Sometimes he wished that he could move and start over, but he doesn't have the money to do that.
It was one of those times he wondered if he killed himself...could he reincarnate to another life?
He has been getting nightmares too, nightmares of these faceless creatures that scare him.
Heck, last night he dreamt of turning into one of them.
They say that dreams are just subjects your brain is sorting out but Anthony never even saw the faceless...
His head hung extremely low when walking back to his classroom.
Bracing himself for a scolding, he pushed open the door.

"I really want to help, I really do..."
And your conversation ended like that, tightly gripping Anthony's pale and sickly, bony hand.
"You can't."
Your eyebrows knitted together concernedly, Anthony isn't a delinquent, he's just troubled. Only of everyone can see that...
Pursing her lips tightly, [Y/n] desperately tried to get answers out of him.
"And you parents? Aren't they getting help?"
"I...don't have any parents..."
The grip on Anthony's hand grew tighter.
He hated it when people pitied him.
"What?? What happened to them? Who is providing for you??"
Stop it.
Her eyes grew even more concerned by the moment, oddly familiar ruby orbs...
Concern and worry filled them like they had done so many times.
Don't...!
Anthony could feel his cheeks warming up and his eyes getting misty.
Don't cry...!
Don't...cry...
Too late.
Anthony shot up from his seat and ran out of the classroom with his sea green orbs tearing up.

Running past the school perimeters and past the gate, Anthony ran down the street.
It felt so good to have the wind rush by him, and to leave his current problems back at that horrid building.
He made a sharp turn into an alley. Sliding down the wall, he sat on the ground panting. The tears now gone.
Instead of sadness; anger now filled him. Why is he the one enduring all this? Life problems, school, and nightmares. Why him?
As he sat there contemplating about his life, a rough hand grabbed his arm and Anthony had barely any time to scream for help.
They covered his nose with a cloth and for Anthony, the world blacked out the way he didn't want it to.

[Y/n] was her name.
The princess who was traveling with an army to defeat Anankos and save the three kingdoms.
He had just escaped Anankos' castle and now he was forced to go back, that was really annoying.
But [Y/n] was just...just so kind and beautiful, Anthony would do anything he could to make her smile. She was an angel, so trusting, kind, graceful and strong.
That sounded weird coming from a thirteen year old boy.
But that wasn't the only reason, he wanted Anankos' rule to end. It was horrible and devastating; his parents killed before his eyes, being forced to serve the dragon, and suffering in general.
He wasn't too fond of [Y/n]'s siblings though, they weren't as trusting as she was.
The younger prince of Hoshido even pointed out that he had tried to kill them multiple times; which he did not. Like, dude please, chill.
The worst was yet to come.
At the very last moment when he was showing [Y/n] the secret entrance, Anankos took over his form. Anthony lost control and will over his body.
The very unwanted words left Anthony's lips and he was left to spectate Anankos' cruelty in first person.
"Anthony?! Why??"
It was so painful to hear her pained voice.
He was relived when [Y/n]'s older brothers intervened.
He hoped that Anankos could possibly leave his body alone but at the back of his mind, he knew that Anankos wouldn't be so lenient.
Now comes the most dreadful part.
Anthony could sense Anankos' annoyance and suddenly felt a burn in the muscles of his body.
Anthony didn't want to continue, he wanted wake up.
He needed to wake up.
Miraculously, he woke up.

The brunette found himself on a soft duvet with bandage wrapped on his arms and a bandage on his cheek.
Nervously, he gently propped himself up and pulled his olive jacket closer.
Where was he? Back in the orphanage? No, they didn't have beds like these.
"Anthony!"
He yelped and almost tumbled out of the bed.
That voice was too similar.
[Y/n]? No...Ms. [Y/n], yes, it was her.
She appeared out of nowhere and was currently sitting on the side of the bed.
The same concerned look on her face; her hair was messy and her lips was red, probably from pursing or biting.
Anthony didn't care where he was; orphanage, hospital, or school clinic.
He flung his arms around his teacher despite the stinging of his frail arms.
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!"
He buried his face on the nape of her neck which was now moist with tears.
"I'm so sorry! P-please...forgive me..."
Teal eyes widened as a familiar warmth enveloped him, a hand gently stroking his tangled hair.
Soft lips pressed against his warm forehead; something he had never received as a child.
Her muffled yet soft voice crooned in his hair.
"I've already did, millennia of years ago..."

I made it! Sorry for the long wait! (Technically this wasn't late at all //cough// for me it's sunday...)
I hope you enjoyed! Don't get me wrong, I know he's a bad character but we can't have that in a one shot.
