Setting Snow
"Jungkook," I say softly holding his arms. "Let me go, you're being selfish."
"You're being selfish," Jungkook mumbles. "You can't leave, not now."
"My Mother, she's ill," I whisper. "I need to be by her side."
"I'll help you both, I have more money than I need, I'll give you all of it." Jungkook nuzzles my neck. "No one will ever harm you or your Mother if you stay with me."
"Stop making it harder for me, you can't promise that we'll be safe you are thugs for crying out loud! You'd always be putting us in danger." I try to wriggle out of his arms but he tightly holds me in place. "Come on, Jungkook."
"Are you really going to leave, without saying goodbye?" Jungkook sighs heavily. "It's not only me who cares about you, Hoseok, Yoongi and Jimin care too."
"It'd be easier if there were no goodbyes." I slip my hand in and out of his pocket, holding a key. "We will meet again."
I jump up and head-butt him in the face and dash out of his room, I lock the door just in time for him to start beating the door.
"Don't leave! Don't leave!" Jungkook screams, the door doesn't seem like it will hold very long. "Don't you dare!"
"Why is Jungkook like that, what is he saying?"
I turn around to see Jimin rubbing his eyes, he looks like he's just woken up.
"He's-"
"Jimin! Jimin!" Jungkook pounds on the door. "Get her, she's going to leave!"
"I don't understand," Jimin says. "What is happening?"
"Just open the damn door, Jimin!" Jungkook screams.
Jimin jumps back from the sudden outburst.
"Once you've calmed down I'll open the door," Jimin says loudly over Jungkook's cries. "But until then I'm not doing anything."
"She's going to leave!" The door rattles. "I'll never forgive you, Jimin!"
"Run," Jimin sadly looks into my eyes. "And don't turn back."
"Thank you, Jimin." I nod before running down the corridor, out of the stairs, past Namjoon eating toast, out of the door, past the gate and I don't stop running until I can't breath.
I bend over and pant heavily until I catch my breath.
And don't turn back.
Jimin's words echo in my mind, I want to turn around, just to see the house one more time but I listen to Jimin and walk away.
Every person that passes me seems to ignore me or avert their gaze, I just want someone to catch me before I fall.
Deciding to take a detour into the park where an icy but calm looking lake lays still across the park, tall trees getting sprinkled on by frost. I didn't realise the small snowflakes slowly falling down from the dark clouds above.
Once I'm in the park I realise I'm alone, not a person in sight, except a man in a winter coat too big for him and a cute bobble hat plopped on his head. My legs, frozen in numbness, decide to go towards this strange man.
"Yoongi." I whisper standing before the man I realise who he is.
"Hm?" He mumbles looking up at me for his eyes to widen once he realises. "Oh, Lucy, what are you doing out in the cold, stupid?"
"I.." My eyes begin to water and I try to not cry but warm tears begin to stream down my face.
"Oh, um, I didn't mean it..you're not stupid!" Yoongi stands up his face full of confusion. "Come on, lets go somewhere warmer."
Someone's warm fingers wrap over mine and lead me through the now setting snow, past the standing trees and the frozen lake.
His hand is like a warm mug of hot chocolate on Christmas Day. He looks back at me every few seconds, I'm guessing to see if I'm still crying or not. Once we're out of the park I sniffle and stop crying.
The cold hits me suddenly and I huddle closer to Yoongi for warmth, he responds letting go of my hand and crouches in front of me.
"W-what are y-you d-d-doing?" My teeth chatter.
"Get on me, idiot."
Hesitantly, I climb onto his back and wrap my arms around his neck once he stands up.
"You're a lot lighter than you look." He laughs as he grips underneath my thighs to carry me.
"You calling me fat?" I ask pinching his earlobe. "Not everyone can have chicken legs like you!"
"Ow! No, no! I'm not saying you look fat, you don't weigh anything at all really," We cross a busy road. "You're the opposite of fat, honey."
"Did you just call me-"
"Nope."
"Why are you so warm?" I ask resting my head on his shoulder. "It's like minus fifty degrees and you feel like a toasted marshmallow."
"Because smart people wear winter coats before taking walks in the cold."
"You calling me dumb?"
"It's are you calling me dumb," Yoongi laughs softly at his comeback. "We're nearly there now, you still cold?"
"A little," I give in. "But warmer than before."
"That's good."
"I forgot to ask you, why is your coat so big?" I ask watching his breath turn into smoke from a dragon's heart. "Is it because you're too small for the men's clothing section?"
"I will drop you."
I giggle at his grumpiness.
"Don't laugh at me, I'm not kidding with the whole dropping you." He throws me slightly up making me squeak. "You sound like a damn hamster."
"You calling me hairy?"
"I swear to God I will-"
"Yoongi oppa when are we arriving at the warm place you were talking about before?" I ask trying to sound cute. "I'm really cold."
"It's round the corner- wait, did you just call me oppa?" His voice turns croaky.
"Why do you like it when I call you oppa?" I ask smiling deviously.
"N-no." He stutters helplessly.
"Oppa, you're so cute!" I squeal pinching his cheeks softly.
"Ya! Stop it!" He pushes my fingers away. "You're only allowed to call me that from now on."
"What?" I lean my mouth closer to his ear.
"You know what."
"What do you mean, oppa?" I whisper seductively in his ear, this is fun.
"You little-"
"Watch out!" Someone shouts, I look up to see a bike a few feet in front of us coming towards us.
I get pushed off Yoongi's back and into the air. I shut my eyes waiting for the impact of the ice below to open them to dark brown eyes and a warmth breath blowing onto my lips.
"Lucy, I told you I'd drop you," Yoongi whispers, his eyes locked onto mine and his lips coming closer. "But I promise I'll catch you every time."
