Love That Exceeds The Triangle
Leaving Yoongi alone in my house was something I thought I'd never do, but hey, I never thought I'd be fake-dating Hoseok either.
Walking through the school gates I remember what happened between Jungkook and I, it's going to be awkward if he's at school today considering he sits behind me in every class. I guess I can't stay away from him all the time, and it didn't really work with me staying away from BTS when Yoongi slept at mine.
"It's her," I turn around to see Jimin and Taehyung whispering to each other nearby. "Should we tell Jungkook?"
"No," Jimin whispers, both of them hadn't realised I was listening."It's Lucy's decision, you should respect that."
"Why?" Taehyung looks annoyed. "She's already a part of this, she's already in danger because of us."
"Not everyone can handle-"
"It doesn't matter," Taehyung cuts him off. "She's safer with us and it's not fair that she's going out with Hoseok and then playing Jungkook."
"Excuse me," I tap Taehyung's shoulder, making him jump. "But I am not playing Jungkook, I have no feelings for him whatsoever."
"Then tell him that." Jin appears behind Jimin. "If you have no feelings for that boy then go tell him so he can get over you and so he stops looking like a stray puppy mourning his owner around the house."
"It's kind of cute." Taehyung says before frowning. "But he gets angry rather quickly, it's nearly as scary as when Hoseok gets angry."
"Exactly." Jin says turning to me. "What are you still doing here for? Go tell Jungkook!"
Huffing, I stomp off, annoyed that Jin had told me off and for what? That Jungkook has feelings for me?
"I have no feelings for him whatsoever."
That was a lie.
I'm not entirely sure what type of feelings I have for Jungkook, but I care for him. That has to count for something.
"Lucy!"
Someone puts their arm around my shoulders.
"Jackson!" I laugh.
"So, the other day I was going to tell you something-"
"Oh yeah!" I scowl at how Hoseok asked me to act as if I was his girlfriend. "And the bell went so you couldn't tell me?"
"Yep," Jackson sits down on a bench surrounded by flowers. "I'd like to ask you something."
"Go ahead." I reply smiling gently, sitting down next to him, in which he shuffles closer.
"Well, how'd you like to go for some ice cream sometime?" He rubs the back of his neck. "As like a date, I know this really cool place where-"
He stops and stares at my smile.
"You know, that's what made me fall for you."
"What?"
"Your smile."
"Oh god, stop it before I blush." I squeak putting my hands against my cheeks.
"So-"
"I'll tell you later my answer," I smile cheekily. "Didn't you know I'm hard to get?"
Jackson ruffles my hair as the bell goes.
"That damn bell ruining our moments!" Jackson yells pointing at the bell making me burst into laughter.
"I've got to go, see you later."
"Have a great day!"
We wave at each other until we're out of view and run to our next class, not knowing a certain someone was watching the entire time.
Walking down the same corridor that I helped Jungkook with his boner gives me nostalgia. I shouldn't be thinking of Jungkook after Jackson asked me out on a date. Jackson is one of the most handsome people I've ever seen, he seems like such a gentleman too. He's perfect boyfriend material, but what are my feelings towards Jungkook and Hoseok?
"Agh!" I scream as someone clasps their hand round my mouth and pulls me into somewhere dark.
"Don't fret it's me."
I stop struggling and my eyes adjust to the dark, I'm in the same closet before.
"Jungkook, what are you doing?" I whisper, noticing his arms were wrapped tightly around my waist like the last time I saw him. "Let me go, we've already been through this-"
"No, you went through it." Jungkook whines. "Why don't you ever consider my feelings? Nobody would ever be able to love you as much as I could, I swear."
"J-"
"I love you."
"P-"
"I love you so much."
"I-"
"Please, love me back."
"Jungkook, please let go of me, it hurts." I say gently, he quickly lets go of me and mutters an apology.
He holds me by the shoulders lightly instead, staring into my eyes as if I'd disappear if he blinked.
He sighs softly and lets go, his arms drape at his sides.
"I would never want to hurt you, you know that right?"
"Of course."
"You should go, before I do something that will make things even more awkward between us."
"And what if I want to stay?"
My answer shocks Jungkook and he looks up at me in hope.
"Does that mean?"
"I'm not sure," I say. "I need time, but don't get your hopes up."
Jungkook nods his head quickly smiling brightly.
I wish he'd smile like this without me.
"We need to go, we're super late for class."
"I'm not going, but you should go." Jungkook nods to himself, still smiling largely.
"Okay, bye." I open the door before getting pulled back in for my forehead to be kissed. "I love you."
"I.." I move away. "I need to go."
His smile falters but he regains it after looking at my lips.
"Okay," he smiles. "See you later!"
Once outside my class, debating whether I should go in or skip class, I see Jimin walking towards me, crying, he is looking down and doesn't seem to notice me.
"Are you okay?" I ask putting a hand on his shoulder when he passes me.
He looks up and quickly wipes his tears.
"I'm fine." He sniffs and tries to smile, but ends up crying.
"Hush," I hug him and he puts his head on my shoulder and cries. "It's okay, you can cry it out but let's go somewhere more private, shall we?"
He nods and I take his hand in mine and lead him to the roof which is luckily the floor above.
"So, are you going to tell me why you are crying?" I ask once we sit down on the floor at the roof looking out to the city below.
"No."
"If you don't tell me I can't help you." I look at him watching the traffic. "I'm pretty good at giving advice."
"You'll laugh at me," he looks like he's about to cry again. "That's what the rest did."
"Who did?"
"Taehyung and Jungkook."
"They laughed at you?" I ask frowning. "Why?"
"I don't want to tell you."
"Okay."
"You're not going to press me for more?"
"If you don't want to tell me, I'll respect that." I remember him telling Taehyung that he should respect my decision. "It's okay if you don't want to tell me, I don't mind."
He smiles slightly lying down, watching the clouds, I do the same.
"I trust you enough to not tell anyone," Jimin's smile disappears. "And, try not to laugh."
"I promise I will not even grin."
"Well," Jimin sighs. "Jinyoung, that guy you sometimes hang out with, we do pe together. Pe is my favourite, I'm not good at anything else except music. Us boys all get changed together, I don't like getting changed in front of people. I'm not as muscular or fit as the other boys in my class, they don't make fun of me but they still judge me for it. Jinyoung has only just joined and we get changed in the same section, he started laughing one time and said I had tummy roles. Now all the boys make fun of me and call me 'piggy'. I was in the bathroom just now when Jinyoung and his friend Jaebum came in and started poking my stomach and calling me 'piggy'. I guess I got emotional."
"But why did Jungkook and Taehyung laugh at you?"
I'll kill Jinyoung and Jaebum.
"They were only joking, but they called me a girl for being so sensitive about such things."
"It's what is guys do," he sighs. "Thrive on masculinity."
"Well, I think you're perfect." I reply. "You're body is perfect, it's way better than mine so if you're not fit then I am really fat."
"You're not fat!"
"Exactly." I say. "If you ever worry about your weight or someone is making fun of you, be that Jinyoung or Jungkook, then come tell me."
"You're quite feisty aren't you?" He replies making us both giggle.
