Love or Money

"Have a good day!" I say cheerfully to the taxi driver.

"Hmph." He rolls his eyes and drives off.

Nice.

Looking through the iron fence the house looks a lot more better in daylight, the house is white and orange and looks extremely modern. The house is made up of mostly large windows and three garages. Three sets of stairs lead to the front door which is a light brown oak door that looks like a door from a Victorian movie.

Before I can go into the house of my dreams I press the button at the gate.

"This is Namjoon and this is the Kim residence how-"

"It's me, let me in."

"Did your Mother ever teach you how to be polite?" Namjoon mutters and the gate throws open.

"Thanks, Nam."

"Don't ever call me that again."

I laugh to myself whilst I walk up the stairs to the door.

Before I can knock the door throws itself open to a frantic Jin.

"Get in here!" He says like a mother who has been waiting for their child to come home to scold them.

"Huh?" Before I can get into the house he grabs the top of my shirt and pulls me in quickly.

"You!" He says, he seems tired and out of breath. "I can't deal with those boys! If I leave them for one minute they'll kill each other, you go talk to your boyfriend and I'll conceal Jungkook."

"Boyfriend? Oh! Yeah, yeah, where is his room?"

"Namjoon!" Jin screams in which I cover my ears too late.

"What?" Namjoon shouts.

"Do not shout at me! Come here!" Jin shouts back.

Someone runs down the stairs grumbling, Namjoon appears at the top of the stairs.

"What is it?" He asks looking at Jin.

"Show Lucy where Hoseok is." Jin shortly replies and walks into the kitchen.

Namjoon mutters something before signally me towards him.

I quickly walk up the stairs three at a time.

"Come." He walks down the corridor as soon as I get to the top of the stairs.

I speed-walk to catch up to him and his long legs.

"He's in there." Namjoon whispers pointing to an orange door similar to the front door.

"That's his room?" I ask.

"Well no shit." Namjoon replies and walks off.

"Okay, Mr Sarcastic." I mumble.

"I heard that!" Namjoon shouts from somewhere.

I decide not to reply considering he'll probably hear me.

Knocking softly on the door I press my ear against it to try and hear any muffled response.

I shuffle back when I see the door move back a little to see a tiny bit of Hoseok peeking through the crack. When he sees me he throws the door open and pulls me into him.

What is it with all these boys throwing doors open and pulling me in?

His arms are tightly wrapped around my waist and his face buried into my neck, he must be bending down a bit for his face to be my height.

He says something but I can't hear him as his mouth is in my hair, as a reply I stroke his hair which must work as his arms become more loose around my waist.

"I..I can't believe he did that to you," Hoseok breaks away from my shoulder but still holds me. "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you, I'll never leave your side from now on."

"It's okay, it was just an accident." I smile.

"But he still hit you, he punched you. He told us he'd never hit a girl and yet you have a painful bruise on your face." Hoseok scowls at where my bruise is. "I want to kill him."

"Don't," I sternly say. "He didn't hurt you he hurt me, I should be the one making that decision. I don't want you to hurt him, just carry on how you were before."

"He pun-"

"I don't care," I cut him off. "And neither should you."

His eyes wander everywhere but my own, as if trying to get out of this situation.

"Please, Hoseok." I plead. "I'll never forgive you if you do, you do know that."

"How are you not angry? He punched you in the face and all because he got jealous of some kid!"

"He's just a kid." I reply folding my arms.

"If...that's what you want?" He finally sighs.

"Yes, that's what I want."

"I can't promise things will go back to normal but, I won't hurt him."

"Thank you."

He smiles and I smile back.

"What is it with you," He asks. "That makes us boys so attached to you?"

"I think I should be the one asking that." I laugh.

"I never apologised for being a complete dickwad to you before, it's not even a good enough excuse but you annoyed me, well, because you were different to all the other girls." Hoseok looks away. "All the other girls all I had to do was wink at them and they'd be ready to give themselves up to me."

He looks at me.

"Do you remember your first day here when I asked you to have sex with me and you kicked me in the nuts?" He laughs. "I was so shocked, a girl had never done that before to me."

"What? So you're saying you fell in love with me as soon as my foot contacted your dick?"

"No, no, it was more of the fact that you didn't give yourself up to me, like you knew you deserved better." He explains. "You were some bad-ass woman and I loved it."

"You thirsty ass boy." I shake my head in embarrassment.

"It was refreshing to see a girl not pretending to be some cute doll with stick thin legs and a high-pitched voice, that's all!" Hoseok blushes. "Even though you're pretty cute too."

"You keep up this lovey dovey stuff and I'll kick you in the balls again."

"Oh, yes, I almost forgot," He breaks away from me to walk over to a brown package on his desk. "I should give this to you."

He gives the package to me and I look inside. I nearly faint seeing how much money is inside.

"Are you crazy? You can't give me all this!" I say quickly shoving it back into his hands.

"It's your money, remember? I said I'd pay you to be my girlfriend." Hoseok places the package back into my hands. "You earned it, considering you wouldn't have been hurt by Hwasa if it wasn't for-"

"Did Jungkook really kill her?" I ask.

"I think he should tell you that- wait, how did you know?"

"Taehyung told me."

"Aish, that brat." Hoseok scratches the back of his neck. "I hate Jungkook but it would be wrong for it to come from me."

"So he did, didn't he?" I ask grabbing his shoulders. "He couldn't of, right? None of you would ever commit murder?"

"Get out." Hoseok pulls me off him. "Just, go talk to him."

"What's wrong?" I ask as he turns away from me.

"I said get out!" He shouts making me jump.

I quickly run out of his room before he slams the door.

Did I say something wrong?

I try to recall everything I said but my memory quickly fades away from me as I try to grip onto it.

Looking at his door an overwhelming sadness looms over me as I clutch the package, I didn't mean to upset him.

I walk away to try and find Jungkook not hearing Hoseok muttering.

"Maybe one day, Lucy, you will love me without money in return. Maybe you'll understand why we do the things we do. Maybe you won't hate me when you learn what a monster I am.."
