Chapter 4(Spider Symbolism)

Sorry that this chapter came out later than usual, I went on a college tour.

I gasp. There it was again, that strange feeling as if something life changing happened. You couldn't help but brush it off. Its like you've been getting a lot of strange vibes lately. Mrs. Anne seemed to notice this as she watched you daydream.

Mrs. Anne: That girl's head is always in the clouds. (she chuckles quietly to herself)

Meanwhile.........

Claude's P.O.V.

Claude had been engulfed in darkness. There was no doubt in his mind that he was dead. Soon he would be in hell. Only something felt different as he opened his eyes. Instead of seeing the formidable place of punishment he some how recognized the place he was in. He not only recognized it but knew where he was. He was laying down in bed in his own room in the Trancy Manor. For a moment Claude had decided this was absurd. Was this some kind of trick? This was the last place he wanted to be.

He looked about trying to bring about how this was possible. The last thing he remembered he was meeting his fate with Lucy.....and the Destiny Spider. But no....It couldn't be, that spider is just a myth supposedly. Claude was a spider so it made sense that he would know all about other spiders. However the Destiny Spider was a spider who's information was made up by folklore.

Claude was questioning these strange occurrences when he glanced to the side, only to find the Destiny Spider sitting directly on his bed stand, staring straight at him with its beady black eyes. Claude did not hesitate to pick it up and bring it close. He also wasted no time in questioning it.

Claude: What are you doing here?

The spider did not answer. Spiders were understandable to Claude but this one was choosing not to speak. Claude glared at it as it sat in the palm of his hand.

So the destiny spider is real. Legend tells of the destiny spider being a magical creature, able to predict ones fate and future. If you saw it often, this was a sign that the spider is a depiction that something in your life was about to change, be it good or bad, minor or major, something always changed. The only thing is you didn't know when it would. Claude had came to the conclusion that the Destiny Spider some how changed his fate of death for a reason. It must have been important. This idea was a little hazy however it was all he had and the only thing that made remotely any sense at the time. The destiny spider he knew, would not answer his questions, so the only thing he could do was play along.

The Destiny Spider had began to crawl away from Claude, off to a place he did not know, Claude was actually going to follow it but that thought was pushed out of the window when his room door suddenly flew open. It was his master Alois Trancy.

Alois: Bloody hell Claude, I've been looking all over for you! My party is about to start in an hour and you haven't even started on the decorations! Get your arse in there right now, I don't want that idiot Hannah ruining anything!

Claude did not know exactly what was going on.Last time he remembered, Alois died along with Hannah but now he's alive and doesn't seem to even remember his whole bout with Ciel. In fact time seemed to have moved back to a specific part before Claude's death, that meant something will change, avoiding his death and everything that happened had been undone including the death of Hannah and the others. So did this mean he was the only one that remembered? Maybe this was an advantage to finally seek revenge on Sebastian and claim Ciel's soul. ANYTHING seemed better than serving that brat Alois again. Though Claude knew this wasn't the best idea, besides he had a strong feeling to just act back into the role he used to portray for a little while longer. He could not explain it, but he was positive this was what he had to do, only things would be slightly different.

Again, he was now the butler of Alois Trancy, He'd turn day into night, sugar into salt, living to dead, silver into gold, after all that's what makes a Trancy butler.....

I turn and look at the clock. One more hour and it will be time to go home. There were many times were you didn't want to go home. You really loved your job and with Mrs. Anne's increasing age, you felt it harder to leave her by herself. Even if you insisted on staying Mrs. Anne would not hear it, she refused to let you worry for her but how could you not? She meant everything to you, she was the only thing you had now.

You couldn't even think for long without noticing that "familiar spider". Lately they seem everywhere or was that the same one? Either way they were really beginning to become common.......
