Chapter 25 ( Almost Mrs. Spider)

Reader's P.O.V.

Undertaker and I had finished Mrs. Anne's autopsy. It didn't take long, since she died of old age, there wasn't much to really look for. I had gave him all the information on her funeral. It would take place after me and Claude's honeymoon. I already knew what I wanted her to wear. It was the newest dress in her shop that she never had a chance to put in store. Undertaker had already went to work on planning the funeral and Mrs. Anne's coffin. While he worked and occasionally started small talk, I stared down at the envelope in my hand. Might as well read it, I thought as I began to open it.

Dear (Y/N), this letter was suppose to be in my will but I kept it near me because I wanted you to read it as soon as possible. I know I've lived longer than most and truthfully I don't know how I did it. As the years passed and my age increased I knew I wasn't long for this world and it wouldn't be long before I was dead. I had a lot of regrets in my life but you were never one of them. I still remember that day when you stumbled into my shop. You were so precious and I knew at that moment that you would be a promising young woman. Even if you weren't my real child, I always saw you as mine. I don't want to get off track because then I'll cry and ruin this letter. My point is, I will always love you (Y/N), even in death. I'll truly miss your ever smiling face but I won't forget you. Since your the only one I  can actually trust with some of my important things, I've signed the shop off to you and your husband instead of my kids. Everything I own is now yours. Over the years I've also hidden my entire life savings inside of my quilted chair. I just know that you'll do the old place even further after I ran out of time. Keep enjoying the rainy side of life.

                                                                                                                                                        Love, Anne

After I was done reading, I cherished that letter and read it over and over and over again. It made me so happy even though I cried.

Undertaker couldn't help but notice as he walked over to wipe my tears away.

Undertaker: Pretty brides, shouldn't be sad on their wedding day.

(Y/N): I'm not sad, I'm just really happy.

I turned hugged Undertaker. He was a little surprised but hugged me back.

Undertaker: Care to share some history about your loved one?

(Y/N): Where do I even start? She's just really nice and mean at the same time but only because she cares. Everyone loved her but not because she was well known. She was like a mother to everyone. She helped anyone that asked and got away with a lot of things because people respected her age since she had lots of experience in her life. Even now I miss her dearly but I'm not sad. Just knowing that she died because of her age only makes me happy that she hadn't died from murder or something horrible. She was the sun to my rain....

Undertaker: And she still is. Just look at how she shines even in death.

He was right, even in death she looked alive and bright.

After a moment Undertaker burst out laughing. I turned around to face him in confusion.

Undertaker: Sorry to ruin the moment but I just remembered a funny joke.

I laughed along with him. Such a silly but fun man.

Time skip...

Undertaker and I had said our goodbyes as I left the shop just in time to start getting ready for the wedding. I also left for Undertaker to get ready himself. Since Mrs. Anne died and I didn't have anyone close to me, I didn't have anyone to walk me down the aisle. Undertaker was delighted to assist me with the problem. It was perfect on such short notice.

When I arrived at the manor I was surprised to see a lot of guest already starting to get seated and others placing gifts on a nearby table. How nice of them, despite them not really knowing Claude and I very well. I headed inside and was instantly met by Hannah and a few new faces that Ciel had sent over to become my bridesmaids.

Hannah and the other girls were already in their dresses and ran towards me upon noticing my arrival.

Hannah: Milady, your late we must get you ready.

Before I could respond they were already tugging me along.

Mey-Rin: We haven't had time to be properly introduced but I'm Mey-Rin maid of the Phantomhive Estate. I'm so honored to be in your wedding, yes I am.

Hannah: And the quiet one here is Ran Maoh, she doesn't talk much.

I looked at the Chinese girl, who only nodded my way.

When we reached my room, Elizabeth slammed open the door for us.

Elizabeth: Come, come (Y/N)! Were going to make you look so beautiful.

Then a familiar face with blood red hair and a toothy grin came sauntering down the hall towards us.

Grell: That's my job. You had better not try to ruin everything with pink.

Grell was not permitted inside as Hannah forcefully shoved him out of the room.

Hannah: Mr.Sutcliffe yes? You will stay out here, it is time for the woman to work.

Grell: Are you blind?! I am a woman!

She paid him no attention as Grell's face was met with a harsh door.

Grell: (Y/N)!!!!!( Grell drags out your name as he bangs on the door.) You need my expertise!

On the other end of the door you could hear another voice.

William: Seriously Grell, you've basically invited me to this wedding to be your babysitter. For once you will behave. Today is not about you, now leave the bride alone.

Grell: But Will!!!!!

I heard Grell let out a short scream of pain as if he's been hit with something.

Grell: No fair, you didn't let me bring my death scythe but you can have yours!!

William: That's because it's the only thing that keeps you in check....at least temporarily.

The voices began to drown as I heard Grell being dragged away.

Meanwhile in the room, Hannah and the others were working diligently to have me looking my part. In truth I couldn't wait till I was married. I was looking forward to seeing what our lives would become. It was only a matter of minutes before it would be time for me to walk.

Hannah was finishing up my hair, Elizabeth was doing my makeup, Ran Maoh was doing my nails and Mey-Rin was touching up my dress and putting on the most suitable jewelry. I told her I wanted to keep my spider neckless on and I had a white lace glove to hide my tattoo.

Elizabeth: Ta daaaaa!!! We've done a fine job. Don't you just look absolutely gorgeous (Y/N)!

The others were satisfied and proud as they admired their work. I turned to the mirror and twirled in my dress. I didn't even recognize myself.

Mey-Rin: I'm so happy for you, I am.

Mey- Rin says, just as there was a knock on the door. Undertakers voice was heard on the other end.

Undertaker: Everything is situated on our end. It's time (Y/N).

I looked back at my bridesmaid as they left the room to assume their positions in the wedding.

Ran Maoh gave me a faint smile and winked at me for luck before closing the door.

I took in a deep breathe. I walked towards the door and placed my hand on the knob, I looked back at Mrs. Anne's letter on the bedside table. It was like I could feel her with me now as I imagined what she would have said.

Mrs. Anne: Well, what are you waiting on girl, go get him.

I smiled to myself and begin to turn the knob.....
