I had been contemplating for a while how I am going to get out of this house. This being my way of avoiding the idea of my lover with another creaking through my head.
      
Huh! I guess I did just think about it.

However, there is more important things to talk about like, is David still going to come with me, even if his mother is in the towns hospital? Will I even get out of here? How would I even get out of this house? How will I get back to the city? Will I even end up in the city? Many questions formulating and yet, I still do not have the answers.

Suddenly, a knock resonated from my door.

"Honey, can I come in?"

Phew, it was thankfully my mother.

"Yer, come on in!" I shouted out.

My mother walked in and somehow me excepting her in also came in the evil man himself!

"We heard what happened. Having to witness someone die must have been awful!" My mother said whilst sitting besides me on my bed.

Mr. Mckulk came and sat on the other side of my bed, "we're both here for you Serena." He said whilst rubbing my upper arm; which made me extremely uncomfortable.

"I appreciate the kind gestures." I said quietly whilst ducking my head down.

"Hun-" my mother begun but I quickly butted in, "can I please he left alone for a bit, please?"

After a sigh I heard my mothers voice again, "sure honey." And that's when I felt her dip on the bed leave.

However, Mr. Mckulks dip seemed to stay.

I then heard my mother close my bedroom door, with mr. Mckulk still present in the room.

"Please leave!" I said in a quite tone.

"You need to talk to us!" Mr. Mckulk urged whilst rubbing his hand up and down my upper arm.

I quickly jerked away from his movement as I felt very uncomfortable.

I felt the dip that mr. Mckulk was sitting in rise, meaning that he was now standing.

"Why are you rejecting me? I am your soon to be father!" He now demanded.

I lifted my head up to see that he was staring down at me sternly.

"I'm sorry but I don't like talking to strangers! Especially those who abused me physically and verbally in the past! And let's also add on the fact that my actual FATHER is dead, UNDER THE GROUND?!!" I ended up shouting out.

Mr. Mckulk now gave me a look of hatred, "look, it's not my fault your born but your mother has ALWAYS loved me and I have loved her like that also. You don't have to like me but you have to understand that I am going to be your step father, meaning that you will have to treat me like your father because I will be!"

"Actually, I don't have to treat you like anything." I said kindly whilst looking back down at my hands, "now can you please leave. This discussion is over."

I then felt him roughly grab me by the arm (again!), "you will not talk to me this way! I will not let this happen?!"

I felt a single tear fall from my eye, "just leave me alone!"

"You will treat me like your father?!" He shouted.

And that's when I felt his hand collide with my face. He then aggressively threw me to the floor.

"You shouldn't have even been born! The least you can do is comply; just like Lavender did?!" He shouted, spit falling and landing on my face.

I slowly looked up at the monster and screamed out loud, "I am not a witch! I am not a scumbag! I am not a monster! And I am most definitely not a girl who listens to people that ABUSE her?!"

I then felt another slap, "YOU WILL RESPECT ME?!" He boomed.

"Just leave and stop acting less like a man!" I sighed.

I then felt another slap before I heard my door get slammed shut.

"Don't even think of coming out for dinner tonight, you disrespectful girl!"

Wasn't even thinking it.

So, I'm gonna take this as my chance to leave.

I quickly got up from the floor and went over to my bed.

I went under it and pulled out my bag which I packed the essentials in and chucked it on my back. I then walked over to the door and tried to open it; and it didn't budge.

"You are not leaving this house until you've learned how to respect me?!" I heard mr. Mckulk shout out.

Well, there goes my easy exit.

So, I walked over to my window and looked out (so I know that that case is clear, and that my mother isn't out there.). I then slowly opened the window up.

Wait!

I quickly walked over to my bedside table and pulled out the rope that I was going to pack in my bag but didn't have the space too.

So, I grabbed it and went back to the window where I tied it to one of the bed legs. I chucked the remainder rope outside of the window and climbed out of it myself.

I then grabbed the rope and slowly made my way down the side of the building.

Once I was nearly at the bottom, I had heard a crash that came from my room (because of my bed.) this sent me into a freak out as I jumped the next little bit and one my feet hit the floor - I was gone!

I ran down the road in fear that mr. Mckulk would have heard that.

I quickly ran to the Mckulk residents to see if David was still there.

Once I got to the entrance, I swung open the gate and ran down the pathway. Once I made it the door, I banged on it.

And the person that answered just happened to be my ex - lover.

"Serena!" Jake said in a surprised tone.
