Rin's P.O.V.

I slowly woke up and opened my eyes as the sun was pouring into the room I was in. I heard snoring next to me before turning my head to see Kuro was asleep next to me. He had a bandage around his small torso. I was laying on a futon and was in a kimono that had blue and white strips. Instead of the t-shirt, jogger sorts, and green coat I was in when I pasted out. It was a little lose on me, but I didn't care. I also didn't have on my sports bra anymore.

I guess I was brought back to the inn. It was hot and I wiped away some of my sweat from my forehead, before seeing Shiemi laying on a futon next to me. She was really close and it made me start to blush. She was in a kimono that had purple and white strips. I just kinda stared at her a little longer, not knowing what else to do,  before she woke up and opened her eyes.

"Oh, Rin. You woke up finally. That's good." She said in a tried voice.

"What are do- I-I mean, why are you sleeping here? Did you get hurt too?" I asked.

"No, I didn't. I came in here to get some ivy stuff and saw you sleeping. So, I decided to lay down and take a nap." She said before smiling.  "Good job, Rin. Suguro and the others told me how you saved everyone. "

"Well, it was a tough situation. So, someone had to step up." I said as I smiled back at her. "I couldn't of done it without  everyone else though. I couldn't of done it with out you too. I thought about you and it gave me a boost. So, thanks for, uh, that." I said as I got embarrassed and blushed more.

"Really?!" She said as she popped up.

"Huh?"

"I helped you when you were fighting?"

"Well, y-yeah. A whole lot." I said before she started to cry.

"I-I did?" She said before grabbing and holding my hand. "Rin!"

"Y-Yeah?" She could make me die from embarrassment by now.

"Listen, I-I, from now on no matter what happens. I swear, you and I will be friends forever! Not just forever, for forever and ever!" She said before rolling back onto her futon and rolled around covering her face. I could see her blush though her hands. I sat up before I started to hear laughing. I looked behind me and saw Shima laughing. He was also laying on a futon and had on a kimono that was like Shiemi's.

"Sh-Shima?!" I exclaimed.

"S-Sorry, dude. I couldn't hold it in anymore!" He said in between his laughter.

"Wh-What are you doing here though?!" I shouted as I blushed all the way to the tips of my ears.

"I didn't want to go to my folks place, so I slept here too."

"Th-Then you heard?"

"Yep, every word."

"You were so loud we all heard you!" Izumo said. She was behind a wooden divider. She was probably laying on a futon to and had on a kimono. Then I looked from across Shima and saw the puppet guy. Where has he been this whole time?!

"Izumo?! And the puppet guy too?! The hell?!" I shouted.

"The only ones that aren't here are Bon and Konekomaru. They got set up in their own rooms. We're also heading back in a couple days. Ms. Kirigakure gave us tomorrow off. So, we can have some fun and relax. We could also go to the tower if you want."

"How do you know about that?"

"Bon told me about you guys fighting the Impure King and what you said as they were checking us for infection and wounds. It sounded like a good idea to us too. None of us here have been to the tower."

"Okay, sounds good. I need to go find Kimi and know that she's okay." I said before trying to stand up, but I felt weak and sat back down before resting. Then the door to the room slid open to reveal Bon's mom.

"Oh, you guys are awake now. I was just coming to make sure you guys were okay." She said as she smiled at us, and seeing that we were all some what sitting up. She didn't have Kimi with her, and I felt a ball of anxiety in my chest.

"Sorry, but where's Kimi?" I asked before she looked at me.

"She's with your father right now. I can go get her for you if you want."

"Yes, please."

"Alright." She said before leaving the room and closing the sliding door. Then I sighed and let out a shuttered breath before wiping away a cold sweat from my forehead.

"You feeling okay?" Shima asked.

"Y-Yeah, just a little tired from killing the Impure King that's all." I replied.

"Then you should probably rest and not take care of Kimi right now."

"No, I'll be fine. I need to know she's okay."

"Alright, if you say so." He said in an unconvinced tone before Bon's mom came back. She opened the sliding door and she was holding Kimi.

"Here you go." She said as she walked over and handed Kimi to me. I held my hands out for her before taking her from Mrs. Suguro's hands. I held Kimi close and kissed her on the head as she made a noise and griped the kimono I was wearing. She had her small blanket with her too.

"Thank you, Mrs. Suguro. Was she behaving okay while I was gone?"

"You're welcome, sweetie. She was good, but she didn't want to sleep and was upset most of the night."

"She was probably out of sorts because I wasn't here."

"Sounds about right. And your father said he'll come check on you a little later."

"Alright. Thank you again."

"You're welcome. I'll go now and let you kids rest." She said before walking out and closing the door behind her. I wrapped my tail around Kimi and nuzzled my nose into her snowy white tuff of hair. After a little bit, she started to cry against my shoulder.

"You're probably hungry, aren't you?" I said as I patted her back. I tired to stand up again, but fell again. However, this time I caught myself and just landed on my knee and Kimi wasn't hurt.

"Where are you trying to go now?" Shima asked.

"Somewhere private, so I can feed Kimi." I replied while panting. "As well as, it creeps some people out when a baby has to be fed."

"It's okay, I don't mind it."

"Okay, but you are one out of four. Even if there's one, I can't."

"I don't mind either." Shiemi said. She was sitting back up.

"I couldn't care less!" Izumo said from the other side of the divider.

"I don't think he cares either." Shima said as he poked the puppet guy. Who was laying on his stomach with his face hidden in the pillow. Either he was dead asleep, playing dead, or was actually dead. Can never really tell with him.

"Alright, if you guys say so." I said before getting the pillow of my futon. I put walked on my knees to the wall and set my pillow against the wall before sitting there. I used Kimi's blanket to cover my chest and her before moving the kimono to let Kimi eat. As I was waiting on Kimi to get done, I looked around the room. Shiemi and Izumo were trying to go back to sleep, puppet guy was probably dead, and Shima was looking at his phone while laying on his stomach.

"Sooo, what are you looking at?" I asked, trying to start a conversation.

"Twitter." He replied.

"Anything interesting happening?"

"Some news pages are trying to find out and explain what happened on the mountain. The best thing I've seen them come up with is a very controlled forest fire."

"It's not my fault the Impure King crushed whatever was under him, and I couldn't save it like everyone else."

"It's not that, I think they're just trying to explain it. Because with the Impure King being a demon, they probably couldn't see him, but they could see your flames. So yeah."

"Sounds about right." I said before Kimi got done after a few minutes. I got her out from my kimono and under her blanket before putting her blanket on my shoulder and patting her back to get her to burp. Eventually she did, and I put her blanket back around her.

"There, that should keep you happy for a little bit." I said before she pushed herself off my shoulder and looked at me. She didn't really do anything, but look at me before I got an idea. I put the end of my tail next to her for her to realize it was there before moving it back and forth as she tried to grab it. Eventually she got my tail and tried to put it in her mouth, but I took my tail anyway from her. Then I noticed Izumo stand and walk out from behind the decider.

"Where are you going?" I asked Izumo as Kimi put her own tail in her mouth.

"To just walk round a little bit because I can't go back to sleep." She responded as she stepped over the puppet guy and rubbed her forehead.

"Okay." I said before turning my attention back to Kimi.

"Uh, Rin?" Shiemi said before I looked up at her. She was sitting up on her futon and was blushing. "C-Can I hold her?" She asked before I smiled.

"Sure." I said before moving back to my futon. I handed Kimi to Shiemi. "Make sure to support her head." I said as I helped Shiemi hold her. Kimi just kinda looked up at Shiemi with her tail still in her mouth. "Stop nibbling on your tail." I said as I moved her tail away from her mouth and hands. Then she gave me a glare with some what puffed up cheeks.

"Don't give me that look." I said, getting Shiemi to laugh. Then I felt a weight sit next to us. I looked next to me and saw Izumo sitting next to and Shiemi. "Taking a walk not help?"

"No, but can I also hold Kimi?" She said as she looked away and blushed. I smiled.

"Sure." I said before Shiemi gave Kimi back to me. Then I helped Kimi into Izumo's arms. She just let Kimi sit on her leg. Kimi just kinda looked around as Izumo held her up by her sides. "You like babies?" I asked before Izumo looked surprised.

"N-No, I don't! Maybe. Kinda?"

"So, you do have a soft spot for a few things."

"Only for c- Ow!" Izumo said before I noticed Kimi was pulling on her long purple hair.

"Kimi, don't do that." I said before getting Izumo's hair out of Kimi's little hands. I also took Kimi back. "Sorry, I guess she was curious about your hair."

"It's okay." Izumo said as she rubbed her head.

"Haven't you ever heard curiosity killed the cat?" I said as I held Kimi up to my eye level.

"What?!" I heard before looking at Kuro.

"Oh, you're finally up." I said as I set Kimi in my lap. Kuro took a little bit to stand up, when he eventually did. He walked over to me and Kimi.

"Is this your baby?" He asked.

"Yeah, she is." I said before he started to sniff her. And the first thing Kimi did was start to nibble on his ear. He didn't seem to mind though. I petted his lower back as he rubbed his face against Kimi, getting her to let go of his ear. She giggled at it and Kuro started to purr.

"Can you understand him?" Shima asked before I looked at him.

"Huh?" I said.

"Can you understand him?" He repeated.

"Uh, yeah, with me being half demon, I can understand demons who are unable to speak a human language."

"That must come in handy." Izumo said as Kuro laid back down on my futon. Then Izumo started to scratch him behind his ears, which he continued to purr at.

"It really does." I said before there was a knock on the door. We all looked at the door before it opened to reveal my dad. He didn't have on his priest coat on or his shoes. He was carrying them, but he still had on a button up shirt that had the sleeves rolled up and socks on.

"Hey, dad." I said as he looked at me after closing the door.

"Hey, kiddo. Just coming to check on you." He said as he walked over to my futon and sat with his back against the wall.

"I'm okay. How are you feeling?"

"Tired, but mainly okay."

"Is Yukio okay?"

"Yeah, he's okay." He said as I saw a bandage on his upper arm.

"What happened there?"

"Mm?" He responded as he opened his eyes. Which he had closed, he did look ready to sleep against the wall.

"On your arm." I said as I pointed to the bandage, and he looked at it.

"Oh, they gave me a vaccine and I got cut there in the middle of battle."

"How did you get cut?"

"Long story."

"Okay." I said in an unconvinced tone.

"They got all of us." Shima said as he rolled up the arm of the kimono. He had a bandaid instead of a bandage though.

"Yeah, you should probably get the vaccine for you and Kimi. But go tomorrow because it's evening now and everyone is tired." We were in a room that didn't have any windows, so I couldn't tell what time of day it was.

"Alright, I'll make sure to get it tomorrow."

"Good." Dad said before I chuckled.

"Would you be okay watching Kimi while I go get some water?"

"Yeah, that's fine." He said before I stood up and walked over to him. I handed him Kimi and he took her. He put her blanket over his shoulder. He put an arm under her butt and his other hand on her back. Kimi rested against his shoulder, and she seemed to be asleep right now.

"Thanks, dad." I said before patting his shoulder and walking out of the room. I went to the kitchen and got a water bottle out of the refrigerator. Then I open the bottle and took a couple sips before closing the bottle. As I closed the refrigerator, Bon's mom walked in.

"Oh, hello, sweetie." She said.

"Hello, Mrs. Suguro."

"You feeling okay after everything?"

"Yeah, just need a little rest, but I'll be fine."

"That's good. I was worried about you and my husband. It's nice to know that you're both okay. I'm sorry that others had to change you while you were pasted out. I didn't know how you were about that sort of thing."

"It's okay as long as no one goes around talking about it. It really comfy away."

"I'm glad. We had run out of boy kimonos in your size. So, they were going to put one of the girl ones on you. But Renzo said that he would wear the girl one if they gave you his." After she said that, I chocked on my water and blushed.

"Wh-Who?" I asked after coughing.

"Renzo." She replied before I blushed more. No wonder why he was wearing a purple kimono instead of a blue one. "You okay, sweetie? You're looking a little warm." Bon's mom asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm going to go sleep for the night."

"Alright, we all need it after this whole mess."

"We do."

"Goodnight then."

"Goodnight." I said before walking out of the kitchen. I was still blushing and I put my hand against my forehead. Just as I was walking back to the room, I saw Yukio sleeping in a chair. His arms were crossed over his chest and he had his head all the way back. I sighed before walking over to him.

"Yukio, wake up." I said as I gently shook his shoulder. He groaned before cracking open his eyes.

"Oh, hey." He said as he rubbed his eyes and leaned forward.

"You need to go sleep on a futon or something else besides a chair." I said as I rubbed his back.

"Yeah, you're right." He said before standing up. I don't have a room to sleep in though."

"You can sleep in the room I'm in. If you get a futon from Mrs. Suguro."

"Alright. I'll do that." He said before I took my hand off his back.

"Good, I saw her in the kitchen." I said before getting back into my room and Yukio went to the kitchen to go talk to Bon's mom. After I opened the door to the room I was in, everyone was asleep and the light was off. But I could see dad asleep against the wall still holding Kimi. I know he can sleep anywhere, but he still surprises me sometimes. I walked over to him before rubbing his shoulder.

"Hey, dad. You need to go lay down." I said before he groaned and opened his eyes.

"Okay."

"Here, I'll take Kimi back." I said before setting down my water bottle. Then I took Kimi from his arms before he stood up.

"Goodnight." He said.

"Goodnight, dad." I said before he left the room and closed the door behind him. Then I laid on my futon and laid Kimi in front of me, still on my futon. I made sure she had her blanket over her before I put the futon blanket over me. Then I wrapped my arm and tail around her before falling asleep. But I felt Kimi hold onto my finger with her tiny hands.
