Rin's P.O.V.

Me and Kuro were keeping the Impure King away from Bon as he chanted. But after every time we hit it would grow back and try to attack us. It was probably better that it was going after us and not Bon.

"Ruji Suguro, by your request, I shall grant your spell." I heard Karura say before there was a bunch of red and orange flames surrounded the Impure King.

"Good job, Suguro!" I said.

"It's very cool!" Kuro said.

"RIN!" I heard in the back of my head, but it sounded like Yukio. And it sounded like he was behind me. I turned around before just seeing Bon and Kuro still stopping on spores.

"Yukio...?" I questioned.

"Hey, look out!" Bon shouted before some spores almost got me. I got them to go away before I looked up. The sack looked like it was going to pop any minute now.

"I hate to say it, but I think it's really mad at us." I said.

"I say, it'll pop any second. Least the barrier is up for when it does."

"That's why the smaller ones are moving faster now. Come get some you bastards!" I said before hitting another one.

"We beat them back, but they just keep coming back!" Kuro said as he keeped stomping on them.

"Ruji, do not brake the earth sign. If you do, the barrier will break with it." Karura said, guessing she was referring to his finger on the ground.

"You don't have to remind me, I know what to do. I'll die before I break it." Bon said before I started laughing.

"Don't pop a blood vessel, princess!" I jokingly said as I looked back at him.

"Would you stop it with the princess thing already?!" Bon shouted back.

"Then stop being a puss, or you'll end up passing out." I said before trying to draw my sword again. It wouldn't open before I had to hit some more spores.

"O-Okurma!" Bon shouted before I looked behind me. A spore was about to get him. I came running and flamed up before hitting the spores. Then I heard Kuro struggling before I looked over.

"Kuro!" I shouted before he got the spores off of him.

"There's no stopping this thing!" Kuro shouted.

"Okurma, behind you!" Bon shouted before I turned around as I flamed up again. And got rid of the spores. "It's going to burst." He said just before it burst and spores went everywhere. I put my arms in front of me. The miasma stinked and made me squeeze a few more times.

"I think I see it, the Impure King's heart." Bon said before he started coughing.

"Suguro!" I called, I could barely see him with all the miasma. And I sneezed again. "You okay over there?! Suguro! Shit..." I said before he didn't respond. So, I tried walking towards him before we were hit with another wave of miasma. I looked up before seeing the Impure King's face. Then I was inglofed in more miasma and sneezing more. I could hear it walking and Bon coughing.

"Suguro!" I called again before I tried to walk towards him, but my feet were covered by the spores. So, I tirped before calling for him again.

"Karura, I call for your protection!" I heard him shout

"As you wish." Karura said before there's was flames around him and it cleared out some of the miasma. So, I could see him more clearly. "I managed to drive away the Impure King, however you've cased a double spell. And it will quickly deplete your energy." She said before he coughed.

"Suguro, are you okay?!" I yelled as I ran to him. Kuro shook off the spores that were on him. "How did you do that...?"

"I diverted a small bit of power from the barrier to protect Ruji. If the caster loses consciousnesses, all is lost. The Impure King is drawn to the living, but against fire, he is weakened. This should keep him away for the time being."

"Great, so we can-" I said before Bon cut me off.

"Hang on, I doubt the barrier will last another 15 minutes." Bon said.

"Say what? What do you mean?" I said in a panicked voice.

"Dude, I'm totally wiped out here. I feel like I hit a wall. I don't think I can do this much longer. I guess Shima and Konekomaru couldn't get to everyone else. I hope whatever happens, that they're okay." He said in a tired voice.

"Sure, they are! They gotta be!" I said before I heard the Impure King behind me. I turned around before it attacked me and covered me in spores.

"Rin!" Kuro said before coming to attack the Impure King. Then it let me go before taking Kuro with it because he wouldn't let go.

"Kuro, don't do it! Leave it alone!" I yelled before Kuro was covered in spores and fell to the ground. "Kuro!" I shouted before he blended into the mass of spores.

"That does it! I'm gonna-" I said before trying to draw my sword, but it wouldn't open. But I kept trying before I stopped.

'Damn it. I came all this way and I still can't draw it?' I thought before spores covered my feet.

"Why can't I draw it?!" I yelled before taking my anger out on the spores next to me, by setting them on fire and hitting them with my sword. Then the Impure King backed away some.

"Well, I guess this is it." Bon said before I turned around. "I can hold the barrier a little longer. So, get out while you can."

"No."

"Go on, you need to get as many people out of here as you can. Hurry up and don't argue. Every second counts now. Go!" He shouted at me before I was about to cry. But then I remembered what Kimi got excited over when we came off the train.

"Wait, that's right." I said getting Bon's attention. "What's that thing called? Kyoto something? Oh, wait now I remember! Kyoto Tower! Kimi got excited and wanted to hold it when she saw it from the train station. So, I promised myself I would let her see it up close before we left Kyoto. Maybe you can show us there and go to the top! Like, maybe tomorrow? You're from here and I read it had a bath house inside. I wanna see that. Maybe we could get everyone else to go with us too. Thing is it would suck if the tower got destroyed and if our friends died too, that would suck worse. We'll win, we gotta." I said before he looked surprised. Then he hung his head.

"Why the hell are you nerding out about Kyoto freaking Tower?! With everything going on around us, that's the place you pick?! Hell, I grew up here and I never been to it!"

"You're kidding!"

"Kyoto got a lot of famous temples and shrines that were very important to history!"

"I know, but I never really been interested in temples and shrines. And Kimi looked so happy seeing the tower." I said before he sighed. Then he started laughing. "Are you okay down there?" I asked as he stopped laughing.

"Yeah, whatever. I give up, you win. Even though I know your b.s.ing I'm up for it. We're friends after all. I trust you, Okumura." He said before lifting his finger, getting rid of the barrier around him. Then the Impure King immediately went after him and covered him in spores, but he still kept the barrier up. I went to draw my sword, but I still couldn't open it.

'Dad, why did you rise and take care of someone like me? I'm useless. So, what was the point in caring for someone like me. If I can't help now, then what the  hell was the point?!' I shouted in my head as I finally drawed my sword. My flames covered a few parts of my body. Then I ran along the Impure King's arm.

"Rin!" I heard a familer female voice shout before I cut the Impure King's chest. I lit it completly on fire before I landed in front of Bon.

"Okumura..." He said before I turned around and saw that the Impure King healing up. Then it shot me with spores, but my flames kept it from staying on me. "Okumura." Bon said before Shura threw something at the spores on Bon, recited something, and the spores went away because of the flames.

"Shura!" I shouted.

"Don't worry. I'll take care of him. That monster is for no normal human to handle. You're the only one who can. Remember what you told me? That you were ready for a fight and save people. So, are you going to prove it or what?"

"Hell yeah." I responded.

"Go get them." Bon said before I ran to another side of the Impure King. I cut it with my sword again before new spores came out. Like it just shaded it's skin. It kept trying to grab me, but I would just slice it's spores. This thing was almost going to be close to impossible to defeat. Then I saw the barrier go down, meaning only one thing. I looked back at Bon and Shura, Bon was laying on the ground, trying to wake him up.

"Suguro!" I shouted.

'Damn it. What am I going to do? I can't let this stuff get lose.' I thought as avoided and stabbed the spores. This continued for a little longer before I landed on the Impure King that looked like a wall.

"I can't stand to watch this any longer!" I heard before I looked next to me and saw a ball of yellow flames.

"Who are you?" I asked, guessing it was a flame demon.

"Demon, angle, it doesn't matter. Those are human terms which have no meaning to me. You on the other hand. What does one call a human wrapped in royal blue flames. I am Kchuca, the garden that pures the unclean. And the Impure King is a rivel of mine for a long time. The sword you hold was once my lords personal weapon. If you truly want to know to end the Impure King, I shall help you learn about your flame and channel it." He said, and he sounded like a little kid.

"Okay, show me how!"

"Then let us begin." He said before merging with my sword and flames. Making him blue instead of yellow. "I shall now chat the manchra and msuchra. You must repeat after me."

"Wait, what are we doing?"

"We are about to call forth the casozoma. The consozoma will incinerate everything in this world. With the your demonic flame it shall pure the Impure King. Along with every living thing on this mountain."

"Pure everything? That's going to kill everyone on here!"

"What of it?" He Said as he looked back at me. "They are of no importance. Those who set foot in the Impure Kings castle, or were touched by his minions, have all been contaminated. They must all be cleaned with no excuses. For even the Impure King can heal back from the tiniest speck. Come on!" He said before pulling on my sword, but I held him back.

"Hold on!" I said before the Impure King almost hit me, but I got out of the way in time.

'There's no time to think. I have to kill it and not hurt anyone else. But how?' I thought befor landing on the other wall.

"Screw it, I have to try." I said.

"You don't have anymore time." He said before we both started chanting. "Very good!" A ball of blue flames was at the end of my sword before I jumped again. Then I threw the ball of blue flame sat the Impure King's face. That allowed me to stab it in the head.

"Now what..?"

"Why do you hesitate? Put more power into it!"

"But if I do that, then everyone I care about will die..." These flames felt like they were eating me. It hurt and it started to make me scream. Then I remembered what Shiemi said and that Shima wasn't sacred of me. So, I let it all go and when I was done the Impure King was gone. I stood up before the flame demon left the sword.

"The Impure King is gone. I shall now depart. Mm, I am still not sure which you are. Human or demon? There will come a day when you must choose and you will." He said before leaving. I put my sword back in it's cover before I saw Bon and Shura. Bon was laying on the ground before groaning  and sitting back up like Shura.

"Hey Suguro, you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. But what happened?" He replied.

"See for yourself." Shura said before Bon stood up.

"Okumura."

"Suguro, Shura, I controlled my flames." I said as I looked back at them while a couple tears fell down my cheeks.

"Hey Okumura! Bon!" Konekomaru shouted as him, Shima, and a lot of other exorcists ran towards us.

"Konekomaru, Shima, you're okay." Bon said.

"Konekomaru, you won't believe it. I can control my flames now." I said.

"That explains it." Shima said.

"Your blue flames cleaned everything they touched. Everyone who was suffering from the miasma, even me. Thank you for saving everyone. Your powers are truly amazing." Shima's dad said.

"Thank you very much." I said as I rubbed the back of my head and blushed. Then Konekomaru started to cry.

"Okumura, I was wrong. Thank you and please forgive me." He said while crying.

"You know, I will." I said as I put my hand on his shoulder. Then he wiped away his tears.

"Holy hell! How did you make it out alive?!" Shima shouted noticing Bon. His blonde streak was down and covering his face.

"Sorry if I made you worry." Bon said.

"Me? Worry? Nah."

"Rin!!!" Yukio shouted as him and dad ran towards us from the other driction then everyone else. Then I ran to them both and put them in a tight hug and they both hugged me back.

"I was so worried about you two." I said as I cried into their shoulders.

"We were worried about you too." Dad said. Then I started to light headed before I slipped out of their arms and onto the ground.

"Rin!" Yukio said in a panic.

"Okumura!" Bon shouted at me before everything blacked out.
