Rin's P.O.V.

I woke up as I groaned and felt my headache. The sun was sinking into the room and warming my skin. I would usually like this if it wasn't for my headache or the light getting in my eyes. I carefully and slowly sat up before resting against the headboard. I looked down and realized I was in black jogger shorts and a blue tank top. I also didn't have on my binder nor a sports bra.

I didn't think about this to much before getting my phone off the nightstand. I turned it on before the brightness shined in my eyes. Causing me to wince and get used to the light. I looked at the time, it was 5:12 am. It was early, but not to early to get up. I decided against getting up for the day since Kimi seemed to be asleep. I looked at the night stand again before seeing a note. I picked it up as I turned on the lamp. It was a note from dad.

'Hey, I heard about the juice and Shura's alcohol getting mixed up. So, Kimi is with me for the morning too. So, you can recover before me, Yukio, and other exorcists have to leave. And don't worry Yukio did eat some of the dinner you brought us.

P.S. I left water and some headache medicine for the hang over.'

I smiled before looking back at nightstand. There was glass a of water and a small white pill. I picked up the glass before taking the pill. I set the glass down before leaning my head into the headboard. I lightly groaned at my headache again too. When I was able to focus a little, I realized my tank top was on backwards and my shorts were showing the brim of my boxers. I fixed these before laying back on the bed and got comfortable under the covers before falling back asleep.

When I woke up again they were calling for breakfast. I groaned as I sat up on the edge of the bed. I just let my legs hang off and my feet touch the small rug near the bed. I eventually stood up and made my bed before going to my suitcase. I pulled out a sports bra before taking off my tank top and putting it on. I put my tank top back on before walking out to go to breakfast. I got my tray of food before sitting at one of the tables. I started to eat, but I also couldn't stop myself from yawning. I guess I didn't sleep well even with the alcohol.

"Everything's a burr after I left the felid office. It's like I got drunk and passed out or something, but how... Son of a, she got our drinks mixed up with her's! Some teacher she is." Bon said. He was sitting behind me. I guess he did get dinner along with a drink, and got drunk like me. He must have a higher alcohol tolerance compared to me. Because I feel like shit and he's acting okay.

"How are you feeling now?" Konekomaru asked him.

"Eh, I'm okay. Get a chance to pay respect to your folks yet?"

"Uh, yeah, last night before I went to bed."

"Good. Well, see you at the meeting." Bon said as he stood up.

"I'll be there in a bit." Konekomaru said before Bon walked away.

"Good morning, Rin." Shima said as he sat down in front of me. I opened my eyes to look at him. He was already dressed in a blue v neck and tan shorts. "Man, you got a terrible case of bed head. Did you sleep okay?"

"Not really." I responded.

"Good thing I didn't drink my juice then." He didn't drink his at all last night. No wonder he was acting normal.

"REN!!" We heard with running foot steps. It sounded like Kinzo.

"Oh no..." Shima said.

"ZO!!" Kinzo said as he kicked Shima in the face. He flew a little across the room and moved some sitting pillows. Shima sat up before holding his head. Of course him flying got other people's attention.

"Damnit, Kin! What was that for?!"

"Huh? It was a flying kick. You don't know what that is? Man, you're dense."

"I'm dense, you jerk?!"

"Renzo, you're looking okay." Said a man standing behind Kinzo. It was the guy that was fighting with the sisters yesterday. But he looked okay now and was in temple wear like Kinzo.

"Except for my head. Anyway, Jinzo, this is my friend, Okumura." Shima said as he sat back down where he was before getting kicked.

"Oh, nice to meet you. I'm Jinzo." He said as he sat next to me and Kinzo sat in front of him. Kinzo started to eat like he didn't eat for days. "I'm Renzo's big brother."

"Oh, hey." Was all I could say. Man, this hang over really has me down. Or maybe I'm more award then I think. Jinzo looked behind me, I thought he was looking at my tail before he spoke.

"Hey, Miwa. What to come sit with us and not all alone?" He asked Konekomaru.

"I would love to, but I already finished." Konekomaru said before setting down his chop sticks. He sat up and walked away. I guess he was going to that meeting Bon mentioned, but I knew he was trying to avoid me. He's scared and I can't completely blame him. Even though he's hurting me in the process, but he doesn't know that.

"What's his deal?" Jinzo asked.

"I dunno." I said, playing dumb. I didn't want to cause more trouble then there was already. Then we just ate breakfast together. However when I was almost done, I heard someone walk up behind me.

"Mornin', bed head. Making some friends?" Dad said as he ruffled my hair. I looked up and he was smiling. He was already dressed too. He was carrying Kimi in one arm and was ruffling my hair with the other. Yukio was behind him, but he seemed to have small eye bags and looked unhappy. Or maybe just stressed.

"I guess. You came to give me back Kimi?" I responded.

"Yeah, me and Yukio have to leave now."

"Alright, I'll take her back." I said before putting down my chop sticks and rice bowl. I put my arms above my head before he set Kimi in my hands. Then I held Kimi against my chest and rested her cheek against my upper chest. She still seemed tired. "Was she okay last night?"

"She was cranky and didn't want to go to sleep. I'm guessing because you weren't there."

"Yeah, she's used to me being in the room when she falls asleep."

"Well, I got to go. See you later, kiddo." He said before ruffling my hair again.

"Bye, dad." I said before he started to walk away. Yukio walked behind him, trying to get away without me saying anything about how he looked. So, I grabbed the sleeve of his exorcist jacket, stopping him from going anywhere. "Nuh uh, you're not going anywhere until you say good morning." I said before he sighed. Yep, he just wanted to avoid my overprotectiveness.

"Good morning." He said in a tired voice as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Did you eat something for breakfast?"

"Yes..." He said with a groan.

"Alright, I'll let you go." I said before letting go of his sleeve. Then he just walked with dad.

"That's your and Mr. Okumura's dad?" Shima asked as I picked my chop sticks back up.

"Yep, Shiro Fujimoto is my and Yukio's adopted father."

"Hold up, you mean the Paladin is your dad?" Kinzo said as he stopped eating.

"Yeah...?"

"Wait what?!" All three Shima brothers said at once. Making my head ache worse and causing me to groan.

"Oh, sorry, man." Shima said as he calmed down.

"It's okay, it's my punishment for not looking at the can Shura gave us." I said before we all went silent for a couple minutes.

"So, is that your little sister?" Jinzo asked, referring to Kimi. I guess he was trying to start another conversation. He seemed nice though.

"No, she's my daughter." I responded before eating some more rice. I knew they were about to ask how she was my daughter, except for Shima. "Don't ask how, I'm not comfortable explaining it." I said before Jinzo backed off and Kinzo went back to eating. Shima started to eat too.

"Sorry, I was just asking because I got used to having a baby sibling." Jinzo said.

"It's okay, I just get uncomfortable with questions. And when I get uncomfortable, I come off as mean."

"It's alright. I'm used to that." Jinzo said before I chuckled. "Hey, you ever tried having six siblings? It's rough!" He said before I laughed.

"Yeah, no kidding." Shima said under his breath, but I heard him. The we just finished breakfast before Jinzo and Kinzo went to the meeting. But I don't know if Shima did.

Shima's P.O.V.

I was walking outside the inn after breakfast, I also had my hands behind my head. I couldn't stop thinking about Rin for some reason. He was nice, a good friend, and kinda handsome too. Wait no, I like girls. Or maybe I like boys too? I don't know. I probably like Rin in an romantic way though, but he probably wouldn't like me back in that way. Even with Kimi being around and having to be taken care of. I don't really know anymore. Anyway, I was lost in my thoughts before my name was called.

"Shima!" I heard before turning around. It was Konekomaru.

"Yes?" I responded while looking at him and I put my hands by my sides. He was silent for a couple minutes.

"How could you be friendly with Okumura?!"

"Huh? Why are you so worried about that?"

"Jinzo and Kinzo have no idea what he is! Wha-What if they find out that he's the son of Satan. And you're hanging around with him?!" He said as I put my hands in my pockets.

"Why does it matter so much what he is? Do you even you worry about who he is? He's not a bad guy, he's actually nice if you stop being so scared of him. Besides what they think is what they think. And I'll let that go." I said before turning around and walking away.

"What's wrong with you?! You can't take anything seriously!" He said before I stopped and groaned.

"Don't you think you're taking this way to seriously?" I said as I turned to look at him. "I think it's a big hassle to avoid him all together. He's a good guy, and way deep down you know that too. Besides you have to be at that meeting too." I said before walking away.

Meanwhile with Rin...

Rin's P.O.V.

I was back in my room. I had set Kimi in her crib, but she wasn't wanting to lay down. So, she just laid there pouting as I cleaned myself up. I took a quick cold shower to get the smell of alcohol off me. Then I wrapped a towel around my body before stepping out. I brushed my teeth and hair before walking out of the bathroom. I had also set my clothes on my bed before I took a shower.

I dropped my towel before putting on my boxers and sports bra. I felt like it would be better to rest my chest for today. Despite my body dysmorphia without it. I put on my jean shorts before putting on my blue t-shirt. It had 'thank you 39' in white lettering. I turned to Kimi after I got dressed, she was laying down on her back and was playing with her tail. I walked to her and when she saw me going to her, she put her hands up to be carried.

"Morning, sunshine. Maybe going for a walk will put you to sleep. Since I already feed and changed you." I said to her as I picked her up under her arms. I kissed her on her cheek before resting her against me. Her arms hung over my shoulder. I picked up her blanket from the crib before walking out of the room. I closed the door behind me as I started to walk down the hallway.

As I was walking, I saw Sheimi running in a different hallway. She seemed to be carrying blankets and a couple tea kettles, but I couldn't tell with how fast she ran.

"She is really working hard, huh?" I said. Then I saw Mrs. Suguro walk by. "Good morning, Mrs. Suguro." I said before she looked at me.

"Oh, good morning, Rin. I see you have your baby with you too." She said before letting Kimi hold her finger.

"Yeah, she's cranky right now. So, I was going to see if a walk would put her to sleep or least calm her down."

"I know how that is. When Ruji was cranky and I would walk around with him on my back until he fell asleep." She said before I chuckled. It was funny to me that she shared information about Bon's baby days. Though if I told him she was, he would get embarrassed. I guess we got along over being a parent.

"Is it okay if I held her for a little bit?" She asked. I would usually say no to someone I didn't know that well. But she was very nice when she wasn't yelling.

"Sure." I said before helping her into her arms. Kimi rested against her like she rested against me. Mrs. Suguro had her arm under Kimi's butt and her other hand rubbing Kimi's back. Which Kimi seemed to like. "I can't think of when Bon was this size though."

"Oh no, he was a big baby. So, he wasn't as small as her. She's much lighter then Ruji too."

"Yeah, but Kimi is a little smaller then babies around her age. So, it worries me sometimes."

"I think it's okay as long as the baby is healthy."

"Yeah, you're right."

"Okay, I'll get back to work and let you get back to putting her down for a nap." She said before giving Kimi back to me.

"Thank you. It was nice talking to you."

"You're welcome." She said before we went in different directions. I continued my walk around the inn to get Kimi to sleep. And I was walking though the garden part when I saw Konekomaru near some graves. He must me paying his respects. He looked about done when he stood up and turned around.

"Uh, hi Konekomaru." I said before he looked up and realized I was there. He tried to run away before I stood in the way. I was getting mad at him for this by now. It was childish to keep running from me every time he sees me. Even if I'm just saying hello.

"Why are you running away? I'm just trying to make things better." I said.

"That doesn't matter! I-I just stay away from Bon. He-He's going through a rough time right now."

"Will you forget about Bon for a few seconds. Jesus Christ, I'm here because I want to talk to you not Bon."

"I-I don't have anything. No family, no..." He said before trailing off. Then what Bon said came running back to me. His family was murdered on the blue night. My flames kill people. "I was always so alone, but they took me in and raised me like I was their's. And some day I'll pay them back for their kindness. When I grow up, I want to be useful because they're the only thing I can go back too. They're my home. Anyone who poses a threat to them, I don't care who they are. They're my enemy!"

"Okay, I get it. So, I just have to show I'm not a threat. Then you'll stop running away from me? I think I get you're coming from. I don't want anything to happen to my family either. Heck, if I was you, I would be nervous too. And you don't have nothing. You got friends, isn't that something?" I said before he let me leave. I figured letting him think was better then forcing him to think a certain way.

I got back to my room before trying to set Kimi into the crib. Since she was manly falling asleep finally. But she wouldn't let go of my shirt.

"Alright." I sighed out before picking her back up. I set her on my bed, the side closest to the wall. Then I laid down next to her and put my arm around her. I also wrapped my tail around her and she kinda wrapped her tail around my wrist.

"I love you, sweet girl." I said before kissing her on the head. "I know it's been crazy lately, but it'll get better. I promise." I said before she yawned in response. I just chuckled before we both fell asleep.
