Akane: You know before I had started this story I should have looked up what kind of sickness Kuroko would have. But my dumb self just wanted to write this story.
You know how you have a good idea and you really really want to write it, you just forget about important details. I need to stop doing that  and rethink lol.

Just so ya know I am not a expert at disease and medical stuff this is just a fanfic where miracles happen.

Kuroko P.O.V

When I open my eyes again. I knew that I was in the hospital.

I saw Sei bangs were covering his eyes. His whole body was shaking and he was biting his lips.

"Sei?" I sat up.

I saw some papers in his hand all crumble in his arm.

Before I knew it he hugged onto me tightly. I felt tears wetting my shoulder.

I then realized why he was crying.

Ahhh....he found out...

"Did you find out?" I asked him.

He didn't say anything he just held onto me tighter.

"Why didn't you tell me...." he cried as his tears fell.

He crying....I never seen him cry this much before. I really hurt him.

"I didn't want you to worry. I just wanted to be with you and the kids again. So I won't have any regrets when I -" Akashi cut me off.

"Stop! I don't want to hear it! I don't!" Akashi shouted.

I gently put a hand on his arm.

"I only have one year left. Unless I find a donor everything will be fine. Beside Aomine and Kagami are helping search for one." I smiled.

He looked up at me. His eyes were red from crying.

He hug me tightly again.

"Where are the kids?" I asked him.

Akashi stood up and walked to the door opening it.

Revaling Seiji and Takumi with their uncle Midorima pushing them to go inside.

They were holding in their tears.

"Hey you two. Come here." I open my arms.

They ran and hugged onto me tightly crying.

It felt really good to have my kids in my arms again. I held onto them tightly.

I saw Akashi and Midorma closing the door behind them as I knew what they were gonna talk about.

P.O.V end

"It's been a long time." Midorima push up his glasses.

"It has. How have you been?" Akashi smiled weakly.

"I'm good. But that's not what we're gonna talk about is it?" Midorima looked at him.

Akashi narrow his eyes.

"He's dying isn't he?" Akashi said.

Midorima eyes held sadness.

"His body is slowly shutting down unless we find a donor. Luckily you called on time because coughing blood isn't a good sign." Midorima said.

"I will also help in finding a donor for him. If we can't find one...." Akashi eyes were dark.

Midorima eyes widen. He knew what Akashi was thinking.

He grab Akashi collar pushing him back to the wall.

"Don't you dare try to do that! Do you know how long he waited for you! There is a reason he's leaving the kids to you! So don't you dare die or I will chase you in the afterlife and make your life miserable!" Midorima glared.

"Then what do we do! What if we can't find anyone! I'm going to lose him again! I don't want that.." Akashi fell onto his knees.

Midorima didn't know what to say to him.

This was like when Kuroko had left him he became stress taking over the Akashi business.

Midorima knelt down and putted a hand on his shoulder.

"Everything will be okay. I promise you were going to find that donor to save him. Trust us. So wipe away those tears and go be with your family. They need you." Midorima said.

Akashi looked up at his friend.

He took a deep breath.

"Thank you." Akashi stood up and went back inside where his family was waiting for him.

Akashi walked in the room. Kuroko smiled at him as he sat down on the bed next to the bed.

"Are you okay?" Seiji ask handed a glass of water to him.

"Yeah, I just slip. It's nothing serious!" Kuroko smiled.

Seiji knew his mom was lying again. He always knew when his mom was lying or when he was in pain.

"Mama. Why do you lie..." Takumi cried.

"Eh?" Kuroko looked at Takumi.

"What are you talking about Takumi? Mama said he's fine." Seiji frowned.

"That's the problem! Mama always lie!! Mama said he was fine but....mama was bleeding a lot....of blood." Takumi cried his hand shaking remembering his mama bleeding.

"Takumi..." Kuroko reach out to him.

Takumi squeak and took a couple step back.

"Takumi?" Seiji noticed something was wrong with his little brother.

Fear.

He was afraid.

Afraid of loosing his mom.

Afraid that he will be alone.

His whole body was shaking in fear.

"Takumi!" Akashi quickly ran to him and pulling him into his chest.

Takumi was breathing really harshly as his father tried to calm him down.

"I'm sorry...I'm sorry Takumi." Kuroko started to cry as he tried to stand up.

The monitor beeping really loudly.

"Mama!" Seiji held onto his mom.

One of the nurse came into the room. She was about to call more people in but Akashi raised his hand to stop her.

"Tetsuya, please calm down." Akashi tried to talk to him while holding Takumi.

Kuroko was about to walk but Akashi grab his hand.

"Its okay, Tetsuya. I'll talk to him. So please calm down..." Akashi beg.

Kuroko looked at him for a moment.

The monitor slowly slowed down.

He then finally nodded his head.

Once he nodded his head the nurse came into the room and put Kuroko back to bed.

"Mama." Seiji held onto his hand.

"Take care of your brother." Kuroko smiled.

Akashi took Takumi and Seiji out of the room.

They drove back home silently.

Akashi tuck the boys into their bed once he made sure they fully felt safe and sleeping.

Akashi went to the living room and sat down on the sofa as he sigh and grab a fistful of his hair.

-Akashi Flashback-
Akashi sat in the hallway as Kuroko was in the ER. His kids sitting next to him with their eyes red from crying.

"Mama..." Takumi cried rubbing his eyes as his brother held his hand.

"Don't worry your mama a strong person." I hug them trying to reassure them.

The lights from the ER turn off and Midorima came out of the room with Takao.

"Midorima..." Akashi stood up.

"Uncle Shin! How's mama!" Seiji stood up and ran up to him grabbing his white coat.

Midorima knelt down and ruffle his hair.

"He's fine. But I need to talk to your dad for a moment." Midoirma asked.

There was a moment of hesitation in Seiji eyes.

"Are you going to tell him?" Seiji looked down.

"Yeah, I believe it's best if we told him." Midorima said

"B-But mama told us not to tell him...." Seiji eyes water.

Midorima could only smiled as he waited for Seiji to finish speaking.

"B-Because if we tell him...papa might run away... I don't want papa to run away....were a family now..." he cried.

Midorima hugged him patting his back.

"He won't run away. I promise. Because if he does I'll make sure he can never walk." Midorima smiled.

"You promise." Seiji stick out his pinky finger.

"I promise." Midorima pinky swear.

They both pinky swear.

Seiji then hugged his uncle.

"Thank you. Uncle Shin." Seiji said.

Midorima hum.

"Now go with Takao he's going to show you around the hospital and you may get to eat our famous oce cream." Midorima smiled.

"yeah!" Seiji nodded and grab his brother arm following Uncle Takao who smiled at them.

Once they were fully gone. It was just Akashi and Midorima now who were sitting down next to each other.

It was a very awkward silence.

"It's been a long time, Akashi." Midorima said.

"It has. How have you been? I see you and Takao are finally together." Akashi smiled.

"I've been good. A-Also be quiet we have always been together." Midorima push up his glasses.

Akashi made a small laugh.

"You haven't change." Akashi said.

"You too." Midorima said.

They both smiled.

"Ahem. Now that we're here. There's something I need to tell you. Even though Kuroko told us not to tell you." Midorima said.

Akashi tighten his fist as he held onto his clothes.

"Please tell me." Akashi beg.

"Even though it may hurt you." Midorima said.

"Yeah..." Akashi said.

Midorima looked at him for a moment and then looked away.

"Kuroko has a heart disease and pneumonia." Midorima said.

Akashi eyes widen and looked at his friend.

"It runs in his family tree. His father had pneumonia and I guess Kuroko might have caught it. Right now, He's at a high risk right now. I've already gave him prescription to help him but it seems to not be working." Midorima bit his lips.

"H-How..." Akashi didn't know what to say.

"He only have one year left. We're trying to find a donor for his heart. If we heal the heart he will live longer but he will have to continue eating his medicine for the pneumonia until it fully disappear." Midorima said.

"W-What should we do." Akashi couldn't believe what he was hearing right now.

Kuroko only had one year left to live.

"It's not we. You right now need to focus on your family. Me, Kagami, Aomine, Kise, Murasakibara, and our friends will try to do what we can to find Kuroko a donar." Midorima said as he stood up.

"But-" Akashi stood up with him.

"Trust us. Just like we trust you." Midorima smiled.

-Akashi Flashback end-

He looked up at the ceiling figuring out what to do.

Right now Midorima said not to worry. Which he's right. Right now he need to focus on his family. His kids who are getting stress about their mom.

After that.....

He remember his mother.

Akashi shook his head to get rid of the dark thoughts.

Everything will be fine. He trust his friends after all.

"Everything will be fine..." he reassure himself.

But the truth was he was still scared of losing someone he love again.
