Nikolai was looking at the evening sky when he spotted the moon peeking from behind the orange cloud, he couldn't help but smile, it was bitter. He really missed his cousin but whenever he saw the moon, he felt that Seraphina was right here with him. It had already been a while since their goodbye, he was slowly able to come to terms with the separation. Leo had also helped him a lot. They were now officially dating. Nik missed Sylvia too, but he knew he would meet her again.

"Are you ready honey? We should go and meet up with Cas and then head to the royal werewolf territory.... You look very dashing." Leo complemented Nik. Nik smiled, he couldn't help but blush a little after hearing the compliment. "Oh! I better! I spent an hour getting ready. I see you cleaned up pretty well too. Nik, checked out Leo's fit, as he fixed his suit jacket. They both were in formal attire for attending the celebration for Lyra and Theron's mateship.

The event was going to be held in the werewolf royal castle to celebrate the coming together of two species. The supernatural community had been shocked when it was announced that the vampire princess and the future royal gamma were mates. But the couple was soon loved by everyone, they loved a bit of forbidden romance.

But there was one person who was not so happy with this union, it was Draven, the vampire king. But he was shut up by Cassius, who threatened the King that he would make sure that the family line would end with him if he caused any issues for Lyra and Theron. Cassius was the future king after all, it didn't matter if the King approved of Lyra's relationship or not. Thankfully the king didn't create any further problems otherwise Cassius wouldn't have shied away from killing the current King to cease the throne, he would have done it for his sister's happiness.

Things were looking up in general. Eva, Selene's younger sister had taken the throne based on her ability and ideals, her brother had been more than happy to step aside to let his sister rule and bring the witches and wizards to a new era. She banned incestuous marriages and passed a law that would let the young witches and wizards choose their own partner, one can stop them now from marrying their beloved. They had lived in the dark age for long enough, now it was time to grow into a new future.

The temple had been filled with believers. Seraphina's story had travelled far and wide. Everyone marvelled at how the moon goddess defeated The Mad Wizard King. Their faith in the moon goddess had been restored. They also fell in love with the story of Mortivus and Lunara, they couldn't help but despise the greedy, selfish and jealous god, Celestros.

Leo and Nik made their way to meet up with Cassius. They were going to go together for the celebration. Cassius had been feeling a bit tense for the whole day, maybe he was nervous about meeting the werewolf royal family, after all as the future vampire king he had to maintain a good relation with them.

He wondered if the full family would be there. He knew that Alaric had two children, Alexander, the crown prince and Evangeline, the princess. The princess probably won't be there, she didn't really attend social events that often. Cassius couldn't shake off the feeling that something was going to happen today. He prayed that nothing would disrupt his sister's happiness.

Cassius was being pestered by the king to marry a human woman. But Cassius just couldn't bring himself to do it, whenever he even considered the idea, he couldn't help but think of what his mother went through. A small part of him even hoped that he and his future wife could share a relationship of love and not just duty.

Cassius, Leo and Nik made their way to the werewolf castle. The castle had been decorated lavishly for the event. They had a huge guest list, the witch royal family had also been invited. Even Seraphina's family was here. Cassius felt really happy seeing his sister's bright face. He really missed her, no longer being able to see her every day. But he was happy that she was happy in her new home. He had never seen her this happy before.

The announcer informed everyone about the entry of the werewolf royals. First the King and Queen entered, followed by the crown prince and then, to everyone's surprise, the princess also made her appearance. Evangeline had just turned twenty-one, her father thought that it was time for her to try to socialize a bit more so he asked her to join today's celebration at least for half an hour.

Cassius had been mesmerized with the beauty of the werewolf princess. When the princess's eyes met with Cassius, her eyes widened. Cassius cursed himself for making the princess uncomfortable with his staring, it wasn't right of him to think of the princess in this way, she had a soulmate for goddess's sake.

Cassius had been busy conversing with one of the Alphas of a neighbouring pack, when he had been approached by the princess. "Your Highness." Cassius gave a small bow of the head to the princess. "Umm... could I talk to your highness for a bit,.... in private." Evangeline requested Cassius, as she avoided eye contact. He was confused, why would the princess want to talk to him in private, maybe she wanted to request a dance with him. The princess already looked very nervous, he didn't want to trouble her more so he just followed her into an empty seating area.

At first the princess had been quiet, slowly she started to speak and it left Cassius speechless. "You are ... my mate, Prince Cassius."

Sylvia was accompanying Victor, as he wanted to meet a friend who he believed would help them find the other hunters. Victor had expressed to the group that he wanted to find the remaining hunters and change their mind about killing the supernatural. Sylvia had offered to help him although she didn't believe that the hunters could be convinced but Victor wasn't a bad person so she hoped that they could convince the hunters.

Victor had suggested they go meet his friend. The friend was a hunter who had left the hunters long back because he couldn't agree with what they were doing, he was the son of one of the most powerful leaders of the hunters. According to Victor, his friend would help them in finding the hunters.

Sylvia and Victor stood in front of the friend's apartment. Victor rang the bell. The door opened and a tall well built man with light brown hair and blue eyes stepped out. Sylvia's eyes widened as their eyes met. This hunter was her mate.

A woman was seen standing by the cliff as she looked over the dark plane. It was beautiful, more beautiful than her dreams could ever have captured. She missed the Abyss. She had a lot to do now, she would have to teach a lesson to the one who kept her away from here for all this while. She felt Mortivus's presence behind her. Lunara turned back and smiled at him as he said, "Welcome back, my Queen."
