53. Betrayal
Enjoy reading (:
Be prepared for the shocks as in multiple.
My apologies in advance.

"Princess you?"
Mr. Malik asked feeling the betrayal when he saw his favourite daughter Sofia standing against him and Kabir smiled in satisfaction.
That was the kind of betrayal that his grandfather must have felt when his daughter left him because of somebody else's words.
Sofia entered the room with Samar and faced her dad after more than one year. She looked at her dad and closed her eyes remembering their moments, good and bad. She held her dad's accusing gaze as she started to speak.
"I'm sorry dad. But you are wrong. You have been wrong since the beginning and I chose to turn blind eye on it but not now. You tried to force me into marrying someone for your business even after I clearly told you that I love someone else.
You tried to hurt Samar. You tried to sabotage my efforts in standing on my own feet and blackmailed me just so I could agree to that marriage, for your business deal.
If not for Kabir I would have been in an unhappy relationship for forever and if not for his help then I would not have been able to stand up on my own.
He cares for me dad and his care is not shallow and limited to materialistic things. He checked that Samar is suitable for me or not and when he realised that I and Samar really love each other; he suggested to Samar to act on his feelings and save me from that marriage.
I can never repay him for what he did for me and how he helped me silently and I would have not known all of it if Samar didn't tell me the truth few days back.
But I will stand with Kabir today dad and I will support him. Also, this is my apology for the mistake I made years ago when I didn't tell Shenu about Kabir's departure. That's the reason I gave my childhood shares to him."
Sofia said and smiled at Kabir feeling grateful for what he had done for her and Kabir smiled at her for the first time.
Samar was standing there looking proudly at his wife and the progress that she has made. He had thought she was spoiled when Kabir helped him seeing the truth and now they were happily married.
"Tusk ... tusk Mr. Malik. I feel bad for giving you heart attack in old age but don't worry, I'm a doctor and I won't let you die. So prepare yourself for shock number two.
I'm decreasing the share prices of Malik Enterprises. The business empire that you built from scratch is now going to get into dust and you can't do anything but see it burning down to ashes."
Kabir said and remembered how Mr. Malik destroyed his mother's life to create this very same business empire.
This business was the reason that he targeted a rich, innocent girl, right? Now he will see it going down into dust but won't be able to do anything. He will feel helpless.
Just like his mother felt when he showed her his power and denied their marriage and then took away her daughter.
"You can't do that. My tie up with SGI, won't allow my company's market value to fall."
Mr. Malik said trying to come out strong but Kabir knew that he has broken his strongest defence just like he did five years ago when he fed Kabir with lies .
Kabir smiled and shook his head at Mr. Malik's thought process. He has to stop being so predictable.
"Here are the papers Mr. Malik. The CEO of SGI, Rehan Siddiqui and major shareholder of Malik Enterprises, which would be me; have come to a mutual decision of terminating that tie up contract as it is no longer valid."
Kabir said remembering the loop hole that Rehan found in that contract two months ago.
"How is it not valid?" Mr. Malik asked feeling flustered and at the same time door opened and Rehan entered.
Alone.
He looked at Kabir and shook his head negatively and Kabir closed his eyes feeling hurt for few seconds before regaining his composure.
It's okay if she doesn't want to come.
Though he always thought of confronting Mr. Malik with her but now she doesn't trust him.
"You promised to marry your daughter to me in return for that tie up." Rehan said, taking the lead and giving Kabir some time to recover.
"And my daughter did marry you." Mr. Malik said not understanding what was wrong about that.
And Kabir came back to his senses. Now was not the time to feel upset. So he took a deep breath and looked at Mr. Malik.
"The daughter that you got married to him is not the daughter from your wife whom you married in front of this prestigious society of yours.
The contract stated that you will marry your and your wife's daughter, to the CEO.
That would be Sofia, not her."
Kabir said and smirked and Mr. Malik felt the ground slipping from his feet.
You never wanted to show your marriage with my mother in front of your so called society right? Here is the result of it. The marriage that you kept hidden will be the cause of your downfall.
Mr. Malik gripped the table and clenched his hands tightly to control his anger.
"All of Sanaa's certificates have my wife's name as her mother. You cannot prove anything." Mr. Malik said with gritted teeth and Kabir just shook his head while the others just stood there looking at the exchange not wanting to interfere.
It was Kabir's revenge.
And the only other person that was allowed to speak has chosen not to come.
"My mother left the confidentiality contract which you made her sign, for me. She also left the copy of her original birth certificate. Those two would be more than sufficient to prove your lies in front of any board of directors. That tie up is over, Mr. Malik and so is your business." Kabir stated.
And Mr. Malik sat down in shock at the turn of events and looked at Kabir and noticed his blue eyes which reminded him about his mom and grandfather and suddenly remembered something.
One last hope, he might have; though the chances were very less. But no one knows about it, so he could play that card.
"You signed Shah Business Empire to me."
Mr. Malik said in last attempt and now everyone waited for Kabir's response because they knew it was the tricky part.
Rehan looked at Kabir feeling genuinely bad because he knew what has happened.
Sanaa gave the shares back to Kabir when he woke up from coma but he threw the papers in his anger and now he didn't have them. Sanaa did. And she was not here, nor did she send those papers back. They have no proof now.
So how was Kabir going to win this?
Kabir took a deep breath before speaking. He has to play his cards rightly here. He was not sure about what he was going to say next, but he has to look confident.
"It's interesting that you reminded me about that. But I know something more interesting and puzzling. You broke up me and her, you made me leave after I signed my shares to you.
I, Kabir Shah signed my entire inheritance, that is, Shah Business Empire, to you, Mr. Malik.
I started investigaton about Shah Business Empire after I came back and found something really odd. Even after I signed my shares, Malik Enterprises was still in loses and the great Mr. Malik is not claiming Shah Business. Why?
Even after four and half years, you were still struggling. So much so that you used your daughters as scape goat for a business deal.
Malik Enterprises was still not as strong as it should be after you got my shares in Shah Business Empire. And my grandfather's business is still going great. Why?
Why is it that even after signed my inheritance to you, you were not able to use it?
Why is it that you are so dependent on the tie up with SGI which is Rehan's company more that Shah Business which I signed to you?
What's keeping you from claiming something for which you devoted your entire life?
The business empire, in the hopes of which you married my mother thinking that one day you will get it. And when you did get it from me, you did not touch it?
Something is not right here, Mr. Malik. Something just doesn't add up. You say that you have my inheritance but I don't think so."
Kabir said in a strong voice though he had the doubts about this since he came back and somewhere deep inside he knew the answers too.
He has some idea about what has happened but the only person who could confirm it was not here.
"It was my decision to use Shah Business as last option. I didn't use it till now but I will use it now. You left me with no choice."
Mr. Malik tried to say in a strong voice and everyone got worried, including Kabir.
He can't say anything more than that without her. He could ask and raise questions but his claims won't have any solid base without her.
He needed her more than any other time in his life and she chose not to come here even after he sent her the letter through Rehan.
A letter that started it all between them.
His mother's letter.
Where are you?
Please come.
I need you.
I really do.
Please come as your younger brother needs your support.
We have to take revenge for our mother; for all that she has suffered.
Come back to your Bir, sweetie pie.
Kabir prayed with his closed eyes and then smiled.
She was here.
***
Kabir heard the door opening and saw everyone turning around to see who entered but he didn't need to turn.
He knew she was here.
His sweetie pie.
His twin, elder than him by just five minutes.
Rehan took a breath of relief as his Angel finally decided to come inside. He has kept her on call as soon as he entered the room. He didn't know what was going on in her mind after he gave her that letter.
She just agreed to come with him to Delhi but didn't come inside. She was waiting outside till now.
But she came at right time.
He just hoped that she decided the right thing.
Because he really doesn't have any idea regarding what's going on in her mind regarding Kabir and he has decided long back to not interfere. No one did.
No one comes between Bir and Sweetie pie since no one could understand them.
***
Sanaa walked inside the room and looked at everyone but Kabir.
She heard Mr. Malik saying something and decided it was the right time to come.
Let's show everyone her truth.
And let's see how Kabir Shah reacts to it.
This one is for all the pain that he has caused her because of his lies.
Sorry mom.
Sorry Kabir.
Sorry everyone.
She whispered in her mind as she started to speak.
"You can't claim Shah Business Empire, dad. Both of us know this fact." Sanaa said looking at Mr. Malik blankly and Mr. Malik's eyes widened.
"You were the one?" He asked and Sanaa nodded.
"Yes dad. I was the one who took away those papers the same day he signed them." Sanaa spoke the truth and everyone in the room got stunned knowing it.
She took the papers from Mr. Malik's office the day Kabir left her without talking to her for once.
***
So that was the reason Mr. Malik can't claim Shah Business because even though Kabir signed the papers, he didn't have them.
Sanaa did.
"And I blamed all my employees for losing them. I fired the one whom I gave the papers to get them notarised. He kept on saying that he kept them back in my office at home and I didn't believe him because they were not there. I asked all my employees, my wife even Sofia but not you; as you never come inside my office!
And you were already hurt that day. Ypu left after that. But I should have known from the beginning. You are your Bir's sweetie pie and not my daughter. Well played Sanaa, you successfully destroyed your father." Mr. Malik said in disbelief, distress but no one cared.
All of them were happy to see Sanaa standing with Kabir but everyone got shocked when said her next words.
"You are right dad. You have always been right about him. He was planning to use me to destroy you. He taught me to be strong because he wanted my help in destroying you. He wanted to take your daughter away from you as you did the same with his grandfather. He did everything for revenge.
But now I have come out of his spell dad. Here are the papers which he signed. You can now have his shares. Shah Business is yours. I'm with you this time dad. Your daughter wants to make up for the mistake that she did in the past by not listening to you."
Sanaa said and gave the papers to Mr. Malik who looked shocked but then read the papers and his shock turned into happiness because they were the real papers with Kabir's signature.
No trap, nothing.
Everyone in the room was shocked listening to Sanaa's words.
Sofia was shocked to see her little sister going against her Bir.
Samar was shocked too as he heard about Sanaa and Kabir's great bond from Sofia.
And Rehan was speechless at his Angel's hard words though he was having a hard time believing them. He didn't know what to think or say.
But Sanaa wasn't looking at anyone now. She was just looking at Kabir.
"Now we are equal Kabir Shah. You lied about my existence. I took away the purpose of your existence."
Sanaa spoke with real anger in her voice, her words expressing every bit of betrayal that she faced from the man she trusted so much.
"Now have fun planning for a perfect revenge for next twenty years of your life because I have destroyed this one."
She spoke and all the people in the room were stunned except one who was smiling.
***
Told you, she will make an incredible villain. She knows how to beat Kabir. She is the only one who is as strong headed as him. The papers are real though. Just what did I make her do?
About those papers you can go back to chapter 21, Missing where she goes to Mr. Malik's office. Told you all, those chapters are the base of the story (;
And also, that now explains why she was able to give those shares back to Kabir when he woke up from coma.
Those papers were the only thing that were keeping Mr. Malik away from Kabir's inheritance. Sanaa had given them back to Kabir but he left them and now she gave them to Mr. Malik.
That also explains why Mr. Malik's company was in bad shape even after Kabir gave him his shares. The reason why he needed tie up with SGI. And how our Rehan and Sanaa met (;
So now your writer needs lots of cheering up, as I turned one of my favourite characters into something I don't know.
So keep on voting, commenting and share the story with your friends and on your wall (:
