Sanaa had so many questions to answer, so many accusations to make but she knew she had to and must wait. He just wake up from coma and she can't stress him

"Kabir, I was so worried about you. Thank God, you are finally awake." She said and tried to separate herself from him, with a great reluctance from him but she got successful.

He looked at her beautiful and smiled, a genuine, rare smile reserved only for his sweetie pie!

"How are you, sweetie pie?" He asked.

"Good." She replied, suddenly feeling conscious about the large gap between them. They were talking after four years and it almost felt awkward.

"I want to say something." He said and Sanaa felt worried what might his question be but nodded nonetheless.

"First of all, stop feeling guarded around me. I didn't start biting in these four years. I know we have a time gap to cover and many things to talk but they can wait. We should feel comfortable around each other. I know it will take time for the things to turn the way they were four years ago." He said and Sanaa just nodded, though she wanted to scream that; nothing can be like before unless we talk about the Past.

Kabir looked at her calm face. She agreed to what he said but he could clearly hear her mind screaming at him and questioning him about past.

He also noticed that she called him Kabir and not Bir like past but he knew that he have to give her time. She was worried about him, means she still cares for him and there is a big chance that she might forget what all happened in the past and start afresh with him.

He now properly saw her. She has changed in these four years, a good change. Her personality became stronger and an aura of confidence surrounding her and why won't she. As sitting in front of him was not just his sweetie pie but the Leader of SMC, world's best medical council and he can't help but feel proud of her achievement.

Sanaa looked at Kabir. His eyes were studying her, with intensity, just like they did when they met for the first time.

His face was mysterious as ever and his hands crossed in a typical manner. Even though he was in a hospital dress, his personality was as powerful as it was before. A small smile tucked on his face, giving her idea that he know more about her than she could imagine and this fact unnerved her.

"So, I want to ask something." He said and paused to look at her face which was becoming difficult to read each and every moment. She is guarding herself way too much to his liking but he has to be patient. "How many days since I am admitted in this hospital?"

"Fifty three days as on today. You suffered an accident. Care to elaborate?" She asked in a bossy tone and Kabir started getting worried about what all happened in his absence.

"It was my fault. I was not fully concentrated on road and crossed the speed limit." He said and took a deep breath to prepare himself for a good lecture coming ahead.

"Well done Dr. Shah! I must congratulate you on your achievement." Sanaa said in a sarcastic manner.

"Sweetie pie, I-"

"Don't sweetie pie me, after this nonsense Kabir! Do you have any idea how much harm this accident could have caused you? Or how much you already suffered! You could have died! You were in coma for fifty two days Kabir, nearly two months! Two months are more than enough to change the life; a life which you don't value. You were not fully concentrated than why the hell you were even driving? And on the top of it you crossed the speed limit!" Sanaa shouted, way to louder for a patient and Kabir flinched.

Sanaa closed her eyes to gain her calm composure. She took a deep breath and thought about Rehan and their good times and immediately felt relaxed.

Kabir didn't say a single word, giving her time to cool down. He knew she would close her eyes and think of some good memories. He wondered if she was thinking about him and their good times or something else. But the way she smiled with her closed eyes, he got one thing clearly that whatever she is thinking is really important to her, for her smile was genuine and carefree, just like good old days.

"Why Kabir? You are not careless. Then why did you drive recklessly?" Sanaa finally asked, in composed manner.

"I just received disturbing news and I can't sit quiet after it." He replied.

"What news, Kabir? We are doctors and are taught to remain calm in every situation than what was the thing that disturbed you?" Sanaa asked, now feeling curious as well as worried because what could be the thing that disturbed, ever so calm, Kabir.

Kabir took a deep breath and thought for a second before answering. He didn't want to lie to her more like he couldn't lie as she will detect it. Moreover, there was no point in hiding it as of now; Sofia must have married that Heartless CEO. At least talking to his sweetie pie can reduce his guilt of not being able to save Sofia from that pathetic business deal.

"I got the news about Sofia's marriage." He said and Sanaa's face immediately paled.

What the hell? How did he even get to know that? She thought.

"I came to now that she was being forced to marry, for some pathetic business deal. I just can't keep quiet when I came to know that Sofia is being married like that and I wanted to help her as I-"

"Who told you all these things, about Sofia's forced marriage?" Sanaa asked.

"I have my sources who confirmed that she was getting married to some Heartless CEO when she loves someone else." He said and Sanaa just closed her eyes, trying to absorb this unexpected piece of information as well as calm herself as he just called Rehan Heartless.

"How do you know that the CEO is heartless? Did you meet him personally? He isn't heartless as people call him. It's just that he doesn't show his friendly side to everyone. He has his own reasons for it, reason which no source know. You should know better than to trust some sources." Sanaa said in a hard tone and Kabir was caught off guards as he could see that she was really angry, something which never happened.

"Out of everything I said, you only caught this. I just told you that your sister was forced to marry someone because of a business deal, when she loved someone else and all you do is to defend that CEO!" Kabir asked feeling aggravated.

Sanaa immediately realized her mistake. Kabir doesn't know anything about her marriage with Rehan. If the news about Sofia's marriage disturbed him so much, to get him into an accident than what will he do when he realizes that it was his sweetie pie who got married?

It would be a disaster, but then she can't hide the truth forever. He has to know someday but not today as he just woke up from coma and even if he is pretending to be all okay, she knew that he needs rest and no mental stress. Finally, taking a decision, she looked at him to give her answer.

"I came to know that Sofia loved someone else and was marrying only for her allowance. I decided to help her but she eloped on the day of her marriage, without my help. So, I knew all these before that's why I am calm about it." She said and Kabir' eyes immediately lit up.

"So, Sofia didn't marry that CEO?"

"No she did not."

I married him.

She thought back. She intentionally kept her reply short, trying to avoid everything else and keeping her face calm so that he can't detect that she is hiding something from him and to her luck it worked because he was too happy about Sofia's escape.

"So, Samar finally convinced her!" He said and Sanaa looked at him questioningly. Kabir explained her complete situation of Sofia and Samar. Even though Sanaa didn't like Kabir's way of using a false identity to befriend Samar, she didn't scold him for she knew his intentions were all good.

"By the way sweetie pie, how are you here? I mean you are Leader of SMC, then how come-"

"How do you know that?" Sanaa asked, feeling frustrated at how much this man knew.

"I used to check on you, once in a while." He said with a guilty expression and Sanaa got up from her chair.

"Sweetie pie, I know it is wrong and I-" But Sanaa stopped him, by her hand.

He used to check on her.

He knew so many things about her family.

He knew that she got accepted in SMC, that she became Leader.

Still, he never for once tried to contact her! She was waiting from four years like a fool and he never tried to say a single word!

He was keeping tabs on her, then he must know that she was in depression for six months after he left, so much so, that she worked beyond her limits and pushed herself to such a high extent that she finally exhausted from work load and mental stress.

After a day of being admitted in the hospital, a good lecture from Dr. Smith and anti-depression pills for few months; she finally came out of her depression and started living normally, after six long months. And all this while, he never felt the need to see her, to talk to her, to bring her out of her depression.

Was this her importance in his life? That he could leave her whenever he wanted and then come back and ask her to forget everything and pretend that the past never happened.

Now, she won't give a damn about his reasons because of which he left! Mr. Malik has manipulative ways but it was between Mr. Malik and Him. He can't and should never mess the relation between him and her, just because of something, Mr. Malik did.

She knew that all her bottled up anger and frustration will come out on him, which is not good for him. So, she should now leave before she says something that she will regret.

"Sweetie pie..."

"We will talk later. Take good rest. Get well soon Kabir." She said and started moving towards the door.

"You are not going to leave me alone. You will come back, right?" he asked in a scared voice and Sanaa gave him a sad smile.

"Leaving without informing has never been my habit Kabir!" She said and finally left.

Kabir just closed his eyes, clearly understanding that the last words were directed towards him. He knew it was his fault to leave her all of sudden like that but was it really?

He left and he knew that it was his fault but what he would have got if he stayed? Her anger, her resentment, her hatred. Also, there was the threat of her knowing everything and blaming herself for everything. He can't see that. He could handle anything but her hate. The eyes which always used to shine with love for him, would be filled with condemn and he can't see that.

So, he did what he thought was right. He left, without any clue or any way to reach him. He didn't care if his move made him look like a coward. He would rather be called a coward than being a subject of her resentment or being the cause of her destruction.

He thought leaving was the best way, to avoid an undeniable confrontation. One he never wanted and he can never be ready about it. One in which she will look directly in his eyes and question him about his existence and he could never answer it. Where she would come to know about...

So, he thought of an easier way; running away to avoid any confrontation. But it wasn't really easy. He was depressed. So much that he had to take therapy. After one torturous year, he was finally able to smile again because of Sunshine. Her smile, her words and her thoughts were the things that kept him sane.

One year later, he finally gathered his guts, came to Mumbai and started searching for his sweetie pie. He was surprised to know that she had been accepted to SMC. He was happy to see her making progress. And that was the final boost up for him to sort out his own life and start his post-graduation.

So, if she for a second thinks leaving her was easy for him than she is wrong because it hurt him as much it hurt her, may be more. It was like his soul was ripped apart but he did what he thought was right.

By now, she has come to terms with past because he didn't saw any hatred or disgust on her face, just plain hurt. So he will also try his best to forget the past and move on.

After these four long years if they are meeting again, that it is Destiny and this time he will make sure that no one can separate them.

A nurse came inside his cabin and checked Kabir. He was feeling frustrated at the number of times they were checking him.

I am alive, very well breathing. He wanted to scream but kept his mouth shut.

Then he remembered something important and called the nurse. She immediately turned to him and he gave her one of his charming smile. The woman smiled back, clearly feeling happy to get his attention.

"So Liza, I got to know that I am in this hospital from about two months, right?" He asked, though he knew the answer.

"Yes, Kabir. You were brought here in very bad state. Some people saw you and helped you by calling ambulance." She replied. He allowed her to call him by his name, wearing off all the formalities. He needed to make her comfortable in order to get his answers.

"Oh, I see. So my injuries must be really bad." He asked, pretending to be deeply hurt, to even think about it.

"They indeed were but no worries now. You are alright. Our doctors are really good." She said, trying to assure him.

"Yes, they really are. I owe my life to them. Can you please give me the name of the doctor who was treating me since I am here? I want to thank her personally." Kabir tried to put it in the most subtle way and he could see her getting tensed, for her posture suddenly changed.

"Umm... You are in some sort of confusion, Mr. Kabir." She said, turning formal, all of sudden. "It's not her. Dr. Sinha has been treating you since you came and he is our senior doctor who doesn't socialize too much with patients." She said and finally got up from her chair.

"I have to leave now, just remembered some important work!" She said and walked away hurriedly.

You just confirmed my doubts. I know that it was a girl who treated me and I will find her, however hard she tries to hide. He thought and smiled devilishly.

On the other hand, Sanaa and Kabir's last fight is coming soon and I want to end their chapter properly before starting a new one in his life.
